Incheon Drone Flight: The Incheon Munhak Stadium (also known as Incheon World Cup Stadium or Muhak Stadium) is a sports complex in Incheon, South Korea and includes a multi-purpose stadium, a baseball park, and other sports facilities. Incheon, officially the Incheon Metropolitan City, is a city located in northwestern South Korea, bordering Seoul and Gyeonggi to the east. Inhabited since the Neolithic, Incheon was home to just 4,700 people when it became an international port in 1883. Today, about 3 million people live in the city, making it S Koreas third most-populous city after Seoul and Busan. The citys growth has been assured in modern times with the development of its port due to its natural advantages as a coastal city and its proximity to the South Korean capital. It is part of the Seoul Capital Area, along with Seoul itself and Gyeonggi Province, forming the worlds fifth largest metropolitan area by population. Incheon has since led the economic development of Korea by opening its port to the outside world, ushering in the modernization of Korea as a center of industrialization. In 2003, the city was designated as Koreas first free economic zone. Since then, large local companies and global enterprises have increasingly invested in the Incheon Free Economic Zone, including Samsung which chose Songdo International City as its new investment destination for its bio industry. As an international city, Incheon has held numerous large scale international conferences, such as the Incheon Global Fair & Festival in 2009. The 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 was also held in Incheon on 19 September 2014. Incheon has established itself as a major transportation hub in northeast Asia with the Incheon International Airport and Incheon Port. The city is also home to the Green Climate Fund, an international organization addressing environmental issues. [wikipedia]

S. Korean men's football team embarks on journey to N. Korea for world cup qualifier
'태극기•코리아' 새겨 넣고 평양으로...이기고 돌아오겠다
Disappointing news for football fans in Korea.
Tuesday evening's highly-anticipated World Cup qualifier between South and North Korea is unlikely to be televised live.
However, the game is on... and the South Korean squad is on their way... for the first inter-Korean game to take place in Pyeongyang in nearly 30 years.
Lee Seung-jae reports.
The South Korean national football team,... who left for Beijing on Sunday,... en route to Pyeongyang,... were greeted by football fans prior to their departure from Incheon International Airport.
Korea Football Association officials, including KFA President Chung Mong-kyu, were also seen wearing the same jacket as the squad.
On the chest: South Korea's national flag, the Taegeukgi,... on the back and in English Korea Republic.
According to the KFA,... the outfit was designed especially for the match in Pyeongyang,... to emphasize the nation.
But for the players,... winning the match is the only thing on their mind.
It will be difficult. Artificial turf isn't easy. But we will cope... and come back with a victory.
The match in Pyeongyang will be a unique experience for the players.
There will be no South Korean cheering squad,... the teams will play on astroturf, and the South Korean players have to follow regulations related to the UN's sanctions on the regime.
They prohibit athletes from bringing mobile phones or tablet PCs into North Korea.
While swapping jerseys at the end of the match is tradition in the sport,... since South Korea's kit is made by an American sporting brand,... this, too, will be forbidden.
But some of the players welcome the restrictions.
We can't even have books. I think it's good. Players will have more time to talk, and we see it as a positive..
Despite the match being the first of its kind in 29 years,... football fans will not be able to watch the match live.
North Korea hasn't answered South Korea's calls to allow civilian spectators,... journalists and broadcasting crew into the North Korean capital for the match.
Barring a dramatic last minute development,... the South Korean national team will likely compete in a hostile environment with tens of thousands of North Korean supporters in the stands,... but no South Korean fans.
With no live broadcast,... fans in South Korea will have to follow the match via online commentary on the FIFA or Asian Football Confederation websites.

The 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup will be the 21st edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. The tournament will be hosted by South Korea between 20 May and 11 June 2017.
Along with Japan and Mexico, South Korea becomes the third nation to have hosted all of FIFA Men's international competitions, namely the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the 2001 Confederations Cup and the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The South Korean FA originally place a request of hosting the tournament away from the traditional June/July period, as it would clash with South Korea's rainy season, as well as any possible national team selection were they to qualify for the Confederations Cup.
Serbia, the 2015 champions, will not be able to defend their title as they failed to reach the final round of the UEFA qualifying tournament. In doing so, they became the fifth consecutive incumbent title holder to fail to qualify for the subsequent tournament

S. Korean national football team returns after bizarre match in Pyeongyang
'우여곡절' 평양 원정 마친 축구대표팀 귀국
The South Korean national football team is back home this morning after playing a bizarre World Cup qualifying match in Pyeongyang earlier this week.
As the match was not broadcast live,… the only thing fans know about the game is the final score, which was nil-nil.
However, it turns out the one point earned in North Korea was enough to move South Korea to the top of their qualifying group.
Won Jung-hwan reports.
It was nearly 1 AM in the morning,… but football fans and reporters were waiting in line at Incheon International Airport to greet the squad's arrival.
It was a welcome return from Tuesday evening's peculiar match against North Korea,… where the Taeguk Warriors had to play in an empty Kim Il-sung Stadium with no cameras capturing the action live.
Indeed, a member of the South Korean delegation that traveled with the squad said the whole trip was a series of unpleasant surprises.
We couldn't communicate with people back home. There was no internet connection whatsoever. We were blocked in our hotel so no one was able to move freely. The explanation was that they need to follow their own regulations. When we kept asking about it, everyone acted busy to avoid us.
The team also had to rough it out on the pitch as the North Koreans played very aggressively.
It's a shame we couldn't win,… but to be honest, I think we should be happy no one got injured due to the extremely violent way they were playing. We could even hear some of the North Korean players cursing.
South Korea's Head Coach Paulo Bento also mentioned that the match officials had to stop the game regularly due to the sheer amount of fouls committed by the North Koreans.
He said that, while they are disappointed not to win, he's pleased his players coped with such a difficult situation.
The South Korean team say they have brought a recorded copy of the game back with them.
The match will air on South Korea's KBS 2 at 5PM, Korea Time, on Thursday, providing the video quality is good enough and the full match is included on the DVD.
The much anticipated match between the two Koreas ended with neither side scoring,... but to decide who will get the ticket to Qatar in 2022,... the two need to meet again, only this time will be at a fully packed stadium in South Korea next June and aired live to the world. Won Jung-hwan, Arirang News Incheon.

Inter-Korean World Cup qualifier in Pyeongyang ends in blank draw
'깜깜이 경기'... 남북 평양 월드컵 예선 무승부로 마무리
The historic sports match between the two Koreas in Pyeongyang - the first of its kinds in 29 years - ended with neither side scorching the net.
The event dubbed 'the world's strangest footfall derby'... had no crowd in attendance and no live broadcast.
Kan Hyeong-woo reports.
Tuesday's inter-Korean World Cup qualifier in Pyeonyang had a lot of zeroes.
There were zero goals from either side, zero spectators in the stands, not even the tens of thousands of North Korean supporters who were expected to fill up the staple Kim Il-sung Stadium...and zero permits to broadcast the match live.
The reasons for keeping the stadium empty are still unknown.
And football fans were practically blindfolded during the inter-Korean derby.
To get real-time updates from the match, fans and media outlets had to rely on either the Korea Football Association's social media posts or the official websites of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation.
Even then, the only information available about the long awaited match was that four yellow cards were issued and five substitutions were made from the two Koreas.
Although It's not clear how or when the video footage of the match will be released,... North Korea has promised to give a DVD of the footage to South Korean officials after the game.
That's according to an official at Seoul's unification ministry,... who also said South Korean fans should be able to watch it once some technical issues are solved.
Asked whether the DVD will contain the entire match,... the official said that's likely to be the case.
With Tuesday's draw, South Korea still holds the top place in Group H in the second round of the Asian Qualification for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
South Korea's national football team is expected to arrive at the Incheon International Airport early Thursday.

Swedish diplomat reveals video footage of inter-Korean World Cup qualifier in Pyeongyang
북한 주재 스웨덴 대사, 남북 축구 경기전 애국가, 충돌 장면 공개
Football fans and media outlets could not watch the historic inter-Korean World Cup qualifier in Pyeongyang last night... which resulted in a goalless draw in an almost-empty stadium.
While the North promised to give a DVD of the footage to the South Korean side after the game,... the Swedish Ambassador to North Korea has released a glimpse of the historic match on Twitter.
Kan Hyeong-woo reports.
Nobody in South Korea has seen the full match footage of the inter-Korean World Cup qualifier in Pyeongyang.... but the Swedish Ambassador to North Korea has tweeted some short clips of the players lining up for each other's national anthem.
Posting the video footage after the match,... Ambassador Joachim Bergstrom said it was a hopeful and historic moment when the South Korean anthem was played at the Kim Il-sung Stadium in Pyeongyang.
Another video released by the Swedish Ambassador showed some of the South and North Korean players getting into what appears to be a scuffle.
South Korea's captain and Tottenham Hotspur's star forward Son Heung-min was seen trying to calm down the North Korean players.
Regarding this video footage,... Ambassador Bergstrom said emotions run high at times as the two Koreas meet in a FIFA qualification match, but the audience is sparse.
Pyeongyang kept the stands empty with no crowd at the match venue... which had been expected to be full of tens of thousands of North Korean fans.
The regime also denied access to any fans or reporters from the South and did not even allow foreign media or tourists to watch the match.
One of the few officials who attended the match, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, later expressed disappointment.
He said he was let down to see no fans in the stadium,… and was surprised by issues regarding the live broadcast and problems with access for foreign journalists.
The reasons for keeping the Kim Il-sung Stadium empty are still unknown.
After leaving Pyeongyang on Wednesday to catch a connecting flight from Beijing, the South Korean men's national football team will go their separate ways with some members arriving back at Incheon International Airport early Thursday.
