My wife and I recently spent 21 days travelling throughout Rajasthan India. Except for one train ride and one plane ride we travelled throughout India with a car and driver. Having spent a number of months planning this trip. (First time for my wife, I had been to India a number of times 25 years before.) and looking for different travelling opportunities we selected 'India by Car and Driver. First let me say the car, the driver assigned us and the day to day experience was wonderful.
The driver, Ajit, like all company drivers was trained by Reemsh Meena, the owner and master arranger of details, who himself was trained as an executive driver for a major foreign company in India. The result is a curtious calm driver who took no risks and drove with our comfort in mind. whether it be in city traffic or on small rural roads, we always felt save.
The car was new and comfortable, always had cold drinks available and local music over the sound system which was perfect for travelling the distances from city to city. We hired the driver and car from New Delhi to Agra, to Ranthambore, to Bassi, Udiapur, Jodhpur, Jaipur and back to New Delhi. The off the road temples and sights our driver Ajit knew of and drove us to only added to the many suprises we had on our journey. The convenience of always being dropped off at our hotel even after a late night out and than being pickup up at the hotel in the morning along with knowing a smiling driver and car was always waiting for you no matter how long you took at a given sight was perfect for every day's adventure.
i could not recommend a service more. The first thing Reemsh handed us when we met was our own cell phone with his number and the drivers number. This came in very handy throughout the trip. and we could call any time if needs be.

NH 25 is a National Highway in India that connects Barmer and Beawar in the state of Rajasthan. It is 330 km long highway and passes through Jodhpur.
It has recently been upgraded to four lanes by the National Highways Authority of India.
Beawar is a city in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. It was the financial capital of Merwara state of Rajputana.
As of 2011, the population of Beawar is 3,42,935. It is located 184 km (114 mi) southwest of the state capital Jaipur, amidst Aravali hills.
The city used to be a major center of trade, especially in raw cotton, and used to have cotton presses and mills.

Traffic on the highway between Delhi and Jaipur seems limited, but overtaking is frequent, both left and right. We had the luxury of a car and local driver. Many Indian trucks of all kinds and in al sizes can be seen here. It unfortunately also shows the dirty sky, filled with smog.
