Nya tåg på Inlandsbanan
Nya tåg för modern persontrafik.
Persontrafik bidrar till regional utveckling genom bättre tillgänglighet och starkare konkurrenskraft för inlandets besöksnäring, invånare och näringsliv. I slutet av juni visades en nyinköpt motorvagn längs den södra sträckan av Inlandsbanan, Östersund-Mora. När alla detaljer faller på plats är tanken att tåget ska köras i pendeltrafik mellan Mora och Orsa.
Motorvagnen är en av fem nyinköpta av modellen Alstom Lint 41. Nuvarande interiör är anpassad för persontrafik på kortare sträckor och ska köras på fossilbränslefria drivmedel, exempelvis HVO.

Sweden - Inlandsbanan from Mora to Gällivare
This video shows you an adventurous journey on the Inlandsbanan through Sweden. The trip starts in Mora (Province: Dalarna) and ends in Gällivare which is located 70 kilometres above the Arctic Circle. The total length of the route is around 1100 kilometres. Among other things the train passes the towns Östersund, Vilhelmina and Arvidsjaur. It also stops at the Arctic Circle (66°North).
Dieses Video nimmt euch mit auf eine abenteuerliche Reise durch Schweden mit der Inlandsbahn. Diese startet in der in der Provinz Dalarna liegenden Stadt Mora und endet in dem 70 Kilometer über dem Polarkreis liegenden Gällivare. Der Zug legt eine Strecke vom rund 1100 Kilometer zurück und passiert unter anderem die Städte Östersund, Vilhelmina und Arvidsjaur. Auch am Polarkreis (66. Nördlicher Breitengrad) hält er.

This video was shot from YF1 railcar 1327. The railcar behind was Y1 1343. 1327 was in the year of 2001 sold and transferred to Croatia and got the class 7122 and number 027.
These two railcars where equipped with the original Fiat-engines.
1343 is the only Y1 railcar left in Sweden with the original Fiat-engines. The interior is also originial. The railcar can be seen at the swedish railway museum in Gävle.

I'm taking the train to the Swedish midnight sun!!! This is a once in a lifetime journey, and you are all welcome to join me as I take the famous Inlandsbanan to the northern part of Sweden. I visit places like Mora, Östersund, Vilhelmina, Arvidsjaur, Jokkmokk and Gällivare, and travel 1100km north of Stockholm - the capital of Sweden. I get to enjoy wilderness and meet many interesting people before I, in the next part of this video, finally get to see the Midnight sun

Inlandsbanans säsongsavslutning 2018 i Gällivare
Efter tio veckors sommartrafik var det dags för Inlandsbanan att avsluta säsongen 2018 den 19 augusti. Här ser vi det sista tåget från Östersund ankomma till Gällivare på kvällen den 18 augusti och det sista tåget mot Östersund avgå från Gällivare på morgonen den 19 augusti. Tack för den här sommaren, och välkomna åter!
