China Portugal economic ties examined | Ghana's industry insiders welcome business with China

But critics have voiced concerns that the EU member is on the road to economic and political dependence. How legitimate are these concerns? How do Portuguese entrepreneurs currently perceive China-Portugal ties? Castro Henriques, chairman and CEO of AICEP, Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency, joined The Point.
China and Ghana are enjoying strong growth in their economic relations. In 2017, bilateral trade amounted to $ 6.7 billion, ranking sixth out of all African countries that trade with China. Ghana’s exports to China increased by 40% in 2017 compared with 2016. So what do Ghanaian industry insiders see as the most promising opportunities in the near future with China? Yaw Adu Gyamfi, president of the Association of Ghana Industries, shared his views.
