We woke up late and decided to visit the national treasure that is Inuyama Castle for half a day, just outside of Nagoya!
Inuyama (犬山), literally meaning dog mountain, is a city in Aichi Prefecture, not far from Nagoya. It is most famous for its small but beautiful castle, which is one of Japan's oldest wooden castles in its original state, having survived the turmoils of wars and disasters over the years.

Inuyama Castle (犬山城, Inuyamajō) was initially constructed in 1537, and its donjon is one of Japan's oldest extant. It is one of only twelve original castles left in Japan (i.e. castles that have survived intact the natural disasters and wars since the end of the feudal age in 1867). Inuyama Castle is also one of only five castles whose main keeps have been designated as national treasures.

The Inuyama festival of this year was April 4 and April 5, but it was unfortunate rain on April 4. The grandchild of three sisters came to my home for doing it on April 4 and April 5 in an occasion. It was an ideal that became the visit that I was with three sisters for a visit to Inuyama festival on April 5, but I considered the movement of the youngest child and gave it up this year. Therefore I observed it only with a couple from the afternoon of April 5 as well as last year. I will take three sisters by all means next year.

Meiji-mura (博物館明治村 Hakubutsukan Meiji-mura?, Meiji Village Museum) is an open-air architectural museum/theme park in Inuyama, near Nagoya in Aichi prefecture, Japan. It was opened on March 18, 1965. The museum preserves historic buildings from Japan's Meiji (1867–1912), Taisho (1912–1926), and early Shōwa (1926–1989) periods. Over 60 historical buildings have been moved and reconstructed onto 1 square kilometre (250 acres) of rolling hills alongside Lake Iruka. The most noteworthy building there is the reconstructed main entrance and lobby of Frank Lloyd Wright's landmark Imperial Hotel, which originally stood in Tokyo from 1923 to 1967, when the main structure was demolished to make way for a new, larger version of the hotel.
