????️Camping on Shackleford Banks with the wild horses????
Me and my nephew Talton I decided to go camping on Shackleford Banks after he got out of Army boot camp. There a lot of things you need to know before you decide to go camping out there:
1. The only freshwater on the island is a pond
2. The camping is extremely primitive
3. There is a small restroom building on the island but it is not open year round
4. There are a lot of rip currents so be careful when wading out
5. Make sure you bring plenty of mosquito repellent
6. If you start a fire you have to start it below the tide line
7. Make sure you set your tent and campsite up well above the tide line so you don't wake up to any surprises
8. Make sure you take a trash bag so that you can remove from the island anything that you brought with you
The cost is about $20 per person and that includes your camping permit and the ferry ride over to the island. The ferry runs every half hour so you need to schedule your arrival & departure around that.
Hope you enjoy this video and we'll see you camping soon.

700 Pound Snake Pulled out of Lake in North Carolina
Giant 700 pound snake caught in lake in Proctor, North Carolina. The giant man eating python was measured at 98 feet long. Police were contacted to see if there have been any recently filed missing person reports as a snake this big could have surely eaten a human.
This giant snake is massive and just gorgeous, but it didn't take long to find out that the STORY behind it... was fake, just another hoax.
While the image is indeed real, I think the size of the giant snake could have been exaggerated due to the camera angle
Nevertheless, this snake is still huge, but where did it come from? The markings on it's skin looks similar to that of a reticulated python native to Southeast Asia. After playing around with a little Google translate, the mystery was finally solved.
This giant python came from Indonesia and after some rough translating, it turns out that it was discovered this last Thanksgiving near the village of Belinyu City. It was found by accident by a group of construction workers who severely injured the reptile while knocking down a large dead tree in which the python was sleeping inside of. The workers put the dying snake out of it's misery and buried it.
It's sad to see such an incredible animal killed, especially one that could have been a new world record size. I wish there were more pictures so we could get a better idea of just how large it was.
I really enjoyed learning about this amazing snake, if you guys have any cool wildlife stories or interesting animals that you think I might enjoy, tell me about it on Facebook

Fun with Drones over Daufuskie Island, 4K, UHD
Spectacular aerial views of beautiful Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, with DJI Phantom and Inspire drones buzzing all around in the sky in magnificent 4K resolution.
St. Helena Island, SC. A Better Place.
St. Helena Island is a magical place on the South Carolina coastline where African American men and women have farmed this land and fished this water for centuries--first as plantation slaves, then as freedmen. It's now one of the last communities on the East Coast that hasn't been swallowed up by development and tourism. But St. Helena's way of life is at a crossroads. Watch and see how farmers and fishermen have adapted to the modern world and whether they would be able to pass this rich heritage to the next generation.

SCETV Documentary | Sea Change
Over the last 100 years, Atlantic Ocean sea level has increased by 12-18 inches -- a rate many scientists believe will accelerate throughout the 21st century, threatening inundation of many of our nation's most valuable, historic and culturally significant coastal assets.
In SEA CHANGE, South Carolina Educational Television presents diverse perspectives on the impacts of sea level rise and other environmental changes on the entire Eastern Seaboard, as experienced and anticipated in Coastal South Carolina and Georgia. Narrator Patrick McMillan takes viewers from the sands of Hunting Island State Park -- threatened by tidal and storm surge erosion -- to cities, towns and communities up and down the coast.
The program asks and answers many questions. What are the immediate and long-term impacts of sea level rise on coastal communities and the people who live in them? How do we enhance infrastructure and human resiliency in the face of rising tides? Will there be winners and losers in response to the many threats? Do we have the vision and will to engage in both near- and long-term efforts to withstand nature's onslaught?

Angela Baker Carteret County Veterans Day Parade 2016
Angela Baker is the last music recording artist discovered, produced, managed, and promoted by the late, great Wally Fowler who passed away in 1994. Fowler is credited for being the man who first discovered Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Sr., Chet Atkins, and the Original Oak Ridge Boys Quartet, to name a few. Angela presents this video for YouTube viewing, and her words express she has never felt more honored than to perform and participate in one of the greatest Veterans Day Parades ever in Morehead City, N.C. This being said she also states she has never felt more humbled than to be accompanied by Vietnam Veteran Jody Griffin. Griffin is a resident of Gastonia, N.C., and his lovely granddaughter Jolie was also on the float along his side. Griffin is a double amputee who was injured while serving in the war with the United States Marines Corps at a young age. Jody Griffin is quite an inspiration to everyone who meets him while he demonstrates the ability to accomplish many tasks thought to be impossible. Griffin is an avid sportsman who loves to hunt, fish, ski, and spend time with his beautiful family. You may also recognize him from the movie Homeland. Many people were located on the sidelines along Morehead City, N.C., at this Veterans Day parade to honor the many Veterans of the United States. Veterans we love you and wish each and everyone of you a wonderful Veterans Day! Thank you for your service to our country.
