Islamic Science Museum in Istanbul
Islamic science and technology will be revived in Istanbul. A museum is being built at historical Gul-han-eh Park. The museum will host the reproductions of the works of Islamic scientists. There will be 800 pieces of technology in the museum of which restoration has been started long ago.
The historical buildings which are known to be stables belonging to famous Topkapi Palace will be turned into a museum at the completion of the restoration works.
The architect of the museum which will display the contributions of the Muslim scientists is world famous professor FUAT SEZGIN who lives in Germany. The 83 years old architect hopes to see the inauguration of the museum.
Professor Sezgin who knows 27 languages and can read many sources from their original manuscripts has proven Muslim scientists laid the foundations of the world science history. Sezgin, who established a science museum which displays the foundation of the world science in Germany, wants to build a similar museum in Istanbul. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan pledged his personal support for the completion of the museum.
The museum is expected to open in April. When the restoration has been completed the inventions of Muslim scientists will emerge as the contributions to the humanity.

Turkish Islamic science historian Fuat Sezgin Died at 93
Fuat Sezgin was born on 24 October 1924 and died on 30 June 2018. He was a Turkish orientalist of Kurdish descent who specialized in the history of Arabic-Islamic science. He was professor emeritus of the History of Natural Science at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany and the founder and honorary director of the Institute of the History of the Arab Islamic Sciences there. He also created museums in Frankfurt and Istanbul with replicas of historical Arabic-Islamic scientific instruments, tools and maps. His best known publication is the 13-volume Geschichte des Arabischen Schrifttums, a standard reference in the field. Sezgin earned his PhD from Istanbul University under the German Orientalist Hellmut Ritter in 1950. His thesis titled Buhari’nin Kaynaklari. The Sources of Al-Bukhari) argued that, contrary to the common belief among European orientalists, Al-Bukhari's edition of collected Hadiths was based on written sources dating back to the 7th century as well as oral history. He obtained a position at Istanbul University, but was dismissed in the wake of the 1960 coup. He moved to Germany in 1961 and started working as a visiting professor at the University of Frankfurt. He was appointed professor at the university in 1965. His research in Frankfurt focused on Islam's Golden Age of Science. In 1982, Sezgin established the Institute of the History of the Arab Islamic Sciences. Today the Institute houses the most comprehensive collection of texts on the history of Arabic-Islamic science in the world. In 1983 Sezgin also founded a unique museum within the institute, bringing together more than 800 replicas of historical scientific instruments, tools and maps, mostly belonging to the Golden Age of Islamic science. A very similar museum was opened in 2008 in Istanbul. In 1968, Sezgin found four previously unknown books of Diophantus' Arithmetica at the shrine of Imam Reza in the holy Islamic city of Mashad in northeastern Iran. Fuat Sezgin is the author and editor of numerous publications. His 13-volume work Geschichte des Arabischen Schrifttums 1967 to 2000 is the cornerstone reference on the history of science and technology in the Islamic world. The 5-volume Natural Sciences of Islam documents the items in the Frankfurt museum. Since 1984 he has edited the Journal for the History of Arabic-Islamic Science. Sezgin has argued that Muslim seafarers had reached the Americas by 1420, citing as evidence the inscription on a map and the fact that the high longitudinal precision of early maps of the Americas would not have been attainable using Western navigational technology. Sezgin received several awards, including the King Faisal International Prize of Islamic Studies in 1978 and Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He is member of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco and academies of Arabic Language in Cairo, Damascus and Baghdad. On 24 September 2012, Melih Gökçek, Mayor of Municipality of Metropolitan Ankara, announced that a square in Ankara was named in honor of Fuat Sezgin. A relief of him created by artist Aslan Baspinar at the square was revealed the same day in the presence of Fuat Sezgin and his spouse Ursula by the mayor. He died at 93 years old.GENUINE WAYS TO EARN MONEY ONLINE, start making easy money working from home, click here:

5 Weapons Used by the Ottomans
Yatagan
The yatagan or yataghan is a type of Ottoman knife used from the mid-16th to late 19th centuries
Yatagans consist of a single-edged slightly curved blade, 60-80CM Long with a bone or ivory hilt
In Ottoman period, yatagans were made in all the major cities of the Ottoman Empire, particularly Constantinople, Bursa and Filibe
One of the finest and earliest examples of the type was the weapon made for Suleiman the Magnificent, who ruled over the Ottoman Empire from 1520 to 1566.
Kilij
The Kilij, (from Turkish kılıç, literally sword) as a specific type of sabre associated with the Ottoman Turks and the Mamluks of Egypt,
it was recognisable by the late 15th century. The oldest surviving examples sport a long blade curving slightly from the hilt and more strongly in the distal half.
The Central Asian Turks and their offshoots begun using curved cavalry swords beginning from the late Hsiung-Nu period.
The earliest examples of curved, single edged Turkish swords can be found associated with the late Hsiung-nu and Kok Turk empires.
Ottoman Mace
Maces are a type of weapon used by many in history, with each having their own designs, usually blunt or and relatively short
Maces where designed to be used with brute force to damage armoured opponents as bladed weapons struggled to penetrate foot soldiers armour
Ottomen maces where blunt with no/little sharp edges as they could get caught and stuck in their opponents plating.
Volley Gun
The Ottomen where one of the first people to use volley type guns
Crafted out of pure bronze, the ottoman used 9 barreled-Wheeled cannons able to thin out infantry groups
They fired stone pellets hundreds of feet towards there enemy at tremendous speeds.
Dardanelles Gun
The Dardanelles Gun was cast in bronze in 1464 by Munir Ali
with a weight of 16.8 t and a length of 5.18 m it was able to fire 24.8 inch stone/Marble boulders weighing up to 1000 Pounds up to a mile
it was used in many Widley known battles such as the Dardanelles Operation, siege of Constantinople and many more
Along with other huge cannons, the Dardanelles Gun was still present for duty more than 340 years later in 1807 and was used to fight the British.
