Noosa River ferry Jan15
I went up the Noosa River on the ferry from Main Beach to Noosa Marina and did the return trip from Noosaville.
NOOSA FISHING - GOLDEN TREVALLY
This is my first time fishing at the Noosa River. It was overcast throughout the afternoon but that didn't affect us. The team caught lots of undersized breams which were all released safely. We did catch a golden trevally which was tasty as! Definitely going back again if we have a chance.

Meyer Boys Fishing trip to Tin Can Bay Queensland april 2013
This is the Meyer boys third yearly trip away. This year we chose Tin Can Bay, Queensland. We hired a houseboat for 5 nights and were joined this year by Ray Meyer and Wesley Meyer. Didn't catch many fish except a nice trevally and a few flathead. Crabbing was good, some nice bucks. A very enjoyable time was had by all.
FLATHEAD, BREAMS, WHITING, COD, CRAB AT JACOBS WELL
We've been invited back by the Cabbage Tree Point General Store and Boat Hire (thanks guys!). This time we took the boat further out in the river system and went to the south side of Russell Island. We've managed to find a spot where the water was 12 meters deep on mid tide (check out the video to find out where). We stationed there pretty much the whole afternoon and caught some lovely fish. I've even caught my PB flathead. Overall we had a great day and will definitely head back again when we get a chance.

TIN CAN BAY AREA
Tin Can Bay is a relaxed holiday destination, which offers a great range of accommodation and dining choices.
Water activities are central to Tin Can Bay, sailing, fishing, kayaking and exploring. Not your thing? Then there is Golf, Bowls, Tennis, Horse Riding or cycle on the miles of foreshore pathways.
Tin Can Bay is one of the few places in Australia where dolphins can be hand fed in their natural environment and therefore it is perfect for family holidays. Children can swim safely in the warm waters protected by Fraser Island.
Enjoy Barbeques, playgrounds and amenities along the foreshore. Explore the sand flats at low tides to see thousands of soldier crabs or pump for yabbies. Fish off the jetties, cast a net in the shallow waters or hire a dingy and fish or explore the estuaries. Located half an hours’ drive east of Gympie on the Cooloola Coast, its marina, houseboat and yacht charter facilities reflect the predominance of water-based activities for visitors wishing to explore the Great Sandy Strait.
Tin Can Bay has two public boat ramps, with a large car park, café and Coast Guard situated at Norman Point. Rare Indo Pacific humpback dolphins inhabit the waters surrounding Tin Can Bay. Head to the boat ramp at Norman Point each morning and interact with these beautiful animals. Feeding of the dolphins is regulated for the safety of the dolphins with fish available for purchase on site.
The coastal township of Cooloola Cove with a Woolworths Shopping Centre is situated between Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach, at the southern tip of the Great Sandy Strait and Fraser Island.

Catch Gallery: 25Kg Spanish Mackerel from Teewah Beach 19/12/2012
Well, Dave McGregor and South African, Paul Anderson paddled off Teewah Beach towards DIP with Dave landing this 25kg Spanish mackerel, for his effort. It sounds like Paul was a bit out of condition with plenty of puffing and panting. Anyway a real good effort from both of them, as they did not gaff the mackerel instead a joint effort as then brought on board by tailing it!! This spaniard took a liking to the XXXL pilchards that the boys bought at Swan Boat Hire.
