Kagoshima, Japan - Kagoshima-chuo eki mae Station (2019)
The Kagoshima City Transportation Bureau (鹿児島市交通局 Kagoshima-shi Kōtsūkyoku) is a public transportation authority of Kagoshima City, Japan. The bureau operates trams and bus lines. From April 1, 2005, together with Nangoku Kōtsū and JR Kyūshū Bus, the bureau introduced RapiCa, a smart card ticketing system.
The bureau was founded in 1928, by taking over Kagoshima Electric Tramway, a private company. The tram line itself existed from 1912.
Kagoshima (鹿児島市 Kagoshima-shi, Japanese: [ka̠ɡo̞ɕima̠]) is the capital city of Kagoshima Prefecture at the south western tip of the island of Kyushu in Japan, and the largest city in the prefecture by some margin. It has been nicknamed the Naples of the Eastern world for its bay location (Aira Caldera), hot climate, and emblematic stratovolcano, Sakurajima. The city was officially founded on April 1, 1889.

Kagoshima-Chuo Station & Huge Ferris (evening 22 March 2015)

This station is the center of transportation when you travel in Kagoshima.
Local people friendly call the station Chuo-Eki (Eki means station).
(Final Stop of Shinkansen)
This is the final stop of super express.
The station is also known as the most southern station of Shinkansen (super express train).
(Shopping Mall)
There are more than 250 shops inside the station.
Those shops include clothes, souvenirs, movies, restaurants and electrical appliances.
You can also get on a big ferris on rooftop for 900 yen.

The floor of the each box is transparent.
You can have the perfect view of the Kagoshima City.
There is a rumor among local young people.
If you go out with your boy/girl friend and took the ferris, the couple will break up. Give it a try, if you are interested!

Kagoshima is the capital city of Kagoshima Prefecture, located at the southwest end of the island of Kyushu in Japan. Kagoshima is sometimes called Japanese Napolinya because it is located in the bay (Aira Caldera), hot weather and the Sakurajima volcano.
As of January 1, 2005, the city is estimated to have a population of 605,650 people and a density of 1,107.81 people per km². The area is 546.71 km². Kagoshima has an international airport called Kagoshima Airport.
Kagoshima is the birthplace of Saigo Takamori, an important figure in the Meiji period, and also Togo Heihachiro, Japan's biggest naval hero. Heihachiro led the Japanese Navy fleet twice defeating Russia in 1904 and 1905, destroying Russia's reputation as a sea power in the East.
In addition, the city was also the place where the Japanese met Christian adherents for the first time, during the Spanish missionary, Francis Xavier arrived here in 1549 and was greeted warmly.

IBUTAMA Express and Orange Train at Kagoshima-Chuo Station (29 April 2015)
I found two unique trains at Kagoshima-Chuo Station, Japan.
Right black and half train is called IBUTAMA.
This is the express train. The train runs between Kagoshima City and Ibusuki City.
Left white and pink train is called Orange Train.
This is the slow local train. It is very convenient to go sightseeing between Satsuma-Sendai Station and Yatsushiro Station.
