It is the Isewan ferry which connects Toba in Mie Prefecture to the Irago cape in Aichi Prefecture.
Soon after departing from Irago, Kami-shima in Mie Prefecture can be seen.
It was blessed also with the weather, and the sea was also quiet and the good sea trip was completed on that day.

A group of Japanese grannies aged 60 to 80 glide through the water, sometimes holding their breath for over a minute to collect shellfish. They are part of a community in Japan of ama -- freediving fisherwomen -- which has seen its numbers dwindle as the next general have left in search of more stable jobs.

Ama divers are known as the 'women of the sea', and are often in their late 70s and 80s, yet still going strong. They're famous for -free-diving for pearls off the coast of Japan, wearing nothing but white linen costumes and headscarves.
The cold waters don't deter them as they hold their breath and plunge into the icy depths in search of oyster, abalone and spiny lobster.
Their tradition dates back more than 2,000 years, but these days their numbers are a fraction of what they used to be, and younger girls aren't taking up the work. Since Mikimoto pearls are mostly cultivated nowadays, their skills are no longer needed. But if you're lucky, you can still sit with them while they grill you a freshly caught lunch on hot coals in a coastal hut.
