This video was taken on 08.10.2012. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room had an outstanding, luxurious interior and it was very clean, the bed was just perfect. The bathroom was very luxurious, and absolutely comfortable.
Overall, the hotel was extremely nice but also extremely expensive, and since the breakfast was not included in the price, we didn't try it.
The Hotel Kämp is very historical. It was originally built in 1887 by Carl Kämp, and designed by Theodor Höijer. The building was demolished and the facade was rebuilt in 1965, and a new building, the new headquarters of the bank Kansallis-osake pankki (nowadays a part of Nordea) was built in 1969. The building housed the headquarters until 1995.
A major restoration project was started in 1996, and it culminated in the reopening of Hotel Kämp in May 1999 as a Luxury Collection property of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, a U.S. based hotel chain. Please note: There is also a single OTIS F2000 lift/elevator, which goes down to the parking lot on the basement floors, but I couldn't reach it since it would have been very embarrassing to go behind the reception desk on the Ground floor, to reach it.
'x' = floors on the other side, b and g are non-accessible floors. Pictures are not available. The interior is absolutely amazing, but the hotel is extremely expensive.
It was first built in 1887, then demolished in 1965 to make room for a new building, and then completely rebuilt into a hotel again, between 1996 - 99, and opened in May 1999.

Amazing old modernized OTIS Traction elevators/lifts at Hotel Kämp *****, Helsinki, Finland
There are 3 hotel elevators/lifts here (or maybe even more).
This is probably the very best luxury hotel in Helsinki, Finland. Originally, it was built in the 1880's, but later on, in 1969, a completely new hotel building was completed (But the old beautiful facade was preserved). It is a very very expensive hotel. Maybe, I will stay there for 1 night some time during the next year, after my summer holidays (summer job period).
