Kawartha Downs and Speedway
First time driving a nascar with Rusty Wallace experience which is a gift from my friend.
Quite a experience. I'm use to racing motorcycles and go karts, so speed is nothing new to me. But that V8 definitely have some monstrous torque. Wasn't really pushing it in the corners or near the limit lol Don't exactly want to shell out $15,000 if I wreck it.

After the original start of our feature race. If a caution flag is thrown the field will line up in single file formation to be sorted into proper position. Once the proper order has been set the race director will give the command to choose. Upon crossing the Start Finish line the drivers will either go low or high to choose their lane. Once this is complete the white flag will be thrown and the race will restart.

Peterborough Casino - Dispatch One
This is an introductory video report on the developing Peterborough casino story. More to come...
OLG has just recently announced they would like to develop in Peterborough here at 1400 Crawford Drive. The proposed casino would have table games and other attractions, including slot machines that would relocate from Kawartha Downs. A rezoning is needed to permit the casino to be built at this location.
City Hall expressed interest in hosting a casino here three years ago, along with two other locations. The rezoning meeting is Monday May 9th, at Adam Scott. They are expecting a large turnout from the public with opinions on the matter. There have been no public debates about the casino since the locations were proposed in 2013. At this point no future meetings have been set to hear from the growing opposition.
Hightlights from Aug. 26 racing at Kawartha Speedway
Aug. 26 was a lively night at Kawartha Speedway as the Ontario Legends, NAPA Late Models, Better Carpet Thunder Cars, and Hasiuk Trailer Mini-Stocks battled it out with the end of the season near. There's only one more race to go.

Video footage from aboard the OSCAAR Super Late Model 45 car of Rob Poole. OSCAAR hosted their first Summer Rush event at Kawartha Speedway. We had a GoPro mounted on the roof, and a Contour GPS bolted up underneath the deck facing the rear. Both cameras provide an interesting view of the fast action out on the track at Kawartha Speedway in Fraserville Ontario.
