How to Replace Brake Pads for Kawasaki Ninja 250
How to Replace Brake Pads:
We're going to show you how to replace the brake pad from this Ninja 250.
Removing the caliper.
First loosen the pad pin, and loosen the caliper bolt next.
Remove the pad pin and then remove the pad.
After that, remove the caliper support.
Cleaning the caliper and piston.
Remove the bracket holding the pad.
Clean the pad pin and bracket with neutral detergent.
Use a brush. Wash the caliper as well.
Rotate the piston using a caliper piston tool.
Replace brake pads.
Apply some grease where the pad has contact with the caliper; the sliding section, back of the piston, backside of the plate, the pad pin; thread of the pad pin to prevent it from getting stuck; and the caliper bolt as well.
Mounting caliper.
Fasten the bolt with proper torque using a torque wrench.
Squeeze the brake several times until you feel it touching the brake.

Electric powered bike unveiled by Kawasaki
The annual EICMA show in Milan witnessed a media event hosted by Kawasaki at which six new machines for the 2020 model year were highlighted by Yuji Horiuchi - President of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Motorcycle & Engine Company. In addition, Mr Horiuchi unveiled an Electric Vehicle (EV) concept and explained its background.
Revealing that Kawasaki had been conducting EV research for many years, Mr Horiuchi noted that KHI research had so far been based on a mid-capacity style machine with more “rider features” than current EV machines in the market. Possessing the equivalent of 20kw for acceleration on demand and a cruising output akin to 10kw, the EV project has been tested extensively at the Kawasaki owned Autopolis track in southern Japan as well as in real life urban environments.

He continued; “We have focused on the riding sensation during road testing combining an electric power source - which enables hig level of flexibility in torque and power delivery - with gear-shifting capability.
The result is a machine delivering good rider feeling in line with our overall mission of Rideology”.
A compact machine with a size similar to a Ninja 650, the EV bike uses familiar middle-weight Kawasaki road bike suspension and brakes plus the same trellis type chassis technology as used on many Ninja and Z family machines.
At the core of the 219kg vehicle is a battery pack rechargeable via a quick CHAdeMo style charging system or a conventional 100- 240V domestic supply. In this way the EV machine follows current convention but the Kawasaki “fun to ride” Rideology approach dictated further thinking.
The result is an electric powered two-wheeler with a range of approximately 100km with attributes from a conventional machine suc as a clutch and four speed gearbox. In this way it would be expected for the vehicle to be attractive to the current profile of Kawasaki owner and to fulfil Kawasaki’s Rideology philosophy.
Mooted as simply a research project, KHI has stated clearly that there are no plans to add an EV bike to its range in the near future. However, Mr Horiuchi did conclude by intriguing media guests at the press conference with a promise that Kawasaki: “..are finding many more avenues to explore to expand the excitement of control on two wheels.”
Kawasaki presented at the EICMA2019 the prototype of its EV Electric Motorcycle Project, which has been developing in Japan for several years under its own apparently sporting concepts and premises, since it has dressed it under the guise of its Ninja range, although the fairing dates from a few years ago…
From what could be seen in the EICMA, the Kawasaki EV Project has large batteries, which means long running autonomy; It has a change of 4 relations instead of the generalized automatic gas of this type of vehicles; It has an energy recovery system - unspecified ¿KERS?-, which is operated - surely that could be automated according to driving conditions - through a lever located on the left handlebar, which when operated with the thumb charges the battery when it is running the motorcycle. The tubular chassis has the removable left part - as seen in the patents - to remove the batteries and the motor in maintenance or replacement operations.
The prototype instruments are very complete, with a large multifunctional digital display. The final transmission is done by sealed chain. The suspensions are conventional, tele-hydraulic fork front and progressive Uni-Trak system behind. Two disc brakes and the fairing of the Japanese Ninja model in the middle of this decade, wear the development prototype of the future electric Kawasaki Ninja ... We will be attentive ...

Kawasaki has revamped the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650. The popular parallel twin is one of the few models to get a redesign for 2020, and at the heart of the updates is new, ZX10-inspired bodywork and a new high-tech TFT dash that is Bluetooth enabled, connecting to Kawasaki's Rideology app.
The core of the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650 remains the same, with its compact 649cc parallel-twin engine nestled neatly inside a steel trellis frame that incorporates a gull wing-style swingarm with the linkage located on top rather than beneath it.
This keeps the shock farther away from the exhaust, reducing heat exposure. It also allows the exhaust to be located low and out of the way, contributing to the centralized mass which helps the Ninja 650’s handling response.
