Melbourne Yarra River kayaking

Melbourne city Kayak fishing
Melbourne City and the Yarra river give a great location to head out in the Hobie kayaks and chase some of the local Bream and Perch.
The city skyline and hustle and bustle of the city make for a different and interesting backdrop for chasing these estuary species on light spin tackle.

The Intrepid Urban Adventures Moonlight Kayak Tour I went on courtesy of Urban Adventures. The tour goes for about 2 1/2 hours, and you get fed fish and chips on the water while sitting in your kayak. All in all, a very fun tour.
White Water Kayaking with Melbourne Adventure Hub
The Yarra River is Victoria's favourite river, and one of the most popular rivers in Australia. What many people don't know is that within 45 mins from Melbourne City there lies a perfect getaway to learn and experience white water kayaking.
Wonga Park is just far enough from Melbourne CBD to satisfy those seeking a quiet, retreat from the hustle and bustle of the City. It has just right mix of rapids, flora and fauna you'd expect from the Victorian great outdoors.
