Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe Emerald Bay excursion to Fannette Island. Via kayak and SUP (stand up paddle board) we made our way to Emerald Bay island also known as Fannette Island built at the same time that Vikingsholm Castle was in 1928 by Mrs. Lora Josephine Knight. We took in spectacular 360 degree views of Emerald Bay and cruised the waters of Lake Tahoe. Get an up close perspective of Lake Tahoe's Emerald Bay and her infamous tea house.

The beautiful big blue Lake Tahoe is split *almost* down the middle between California and Nevada. You can drive around the entire 72 miles of shoreline in about 2.5hrs, with activities like kayaking, hiking, paddle boarding, biking, swimming, gambling or simply just staring at the crystal clear (slightly chilly) waters for a while. Sand Harbor Beach and Emerald Bay were one of our favorite spots amongst the gorgeous scenery.

Meeks Bay at Lake Tahoe, nicely located Lake Tahoe resort
The Lake Tahoe weather is not predictable, but there is always plenty of things to do here. Maybe you are staying at a resort or one of the South Lake Tahoe hotels or North Lake Tahoe hotels – both locations are great – but when visiting West Lake Tahoe you should stop and visit Meeks Bay. The seasonal day entry fee to the Meeks Bay Resort is $10. You will not regret spending this money.
It’s among the best located lake Tahoe resorts, however its cabins would benefit from a thorough renovation. It also welcomes all Lake Tahoe camping lovers.
Watersports is one of the best things to do in Lake Tahoe. In Meeks Bay you can swim, enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking.
KAYAKING LAKE TAHOE!!
Such an amazing experience taking the kayaks out on Tahoe! Even though we were lacking racks for the yaks we managed to make it there without loosing one off the roof :)
Lake Tahoe, California Vacation
This year for my Mom's 50th birthday, we took a week of vacation to explore Lake Tahoe located in California and Nevada. It was absolutely beautiful! The water was extremely chilly, but felt refreshing after straight sunshine for five days in a row! Highly recommended place for those wanting to get away!

Lake Tahoe, DL Bliss State Park
DL Bliss State Park is on the West Shore, or California side, of Lake Tahoe... this flight is just North of the park over the boulder fields, down to the lake and back. The emerald green color is caused by shallow depths, a sandy bottom and ultra clear water... especially apparent when the surface of the lake is calm. ~LTG

Hi everyone!
Hopefully you guys like this video. Thanks for all the support, especially on the last video. It means a lot. I really hope the quality has improved, videography, editing, comfort in front of a camera, and story telling. All things we're working on improving!
We love Sand Harbor Beach, it is the gold standard of beauty! The website said $12 entry, but the last two times we've went parking was only $10 there, so it's affordable. Comment below if you've been or want to go!

Lake Tahoe | Eagle Falls at Emerald Bay, Camping Trip
Lake Tahoe Eagle Falls Emerald Bay, Camping Trip
Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada of the United States. Lying at 6,225 ft (1,897 m), it straddles the state line between California and Nevada, west of Carson City. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America,[3] and at 122,160,280 acre⋅ft (150.7 km3) trails only the five Great Lakes as the largest by volume in the United States. Its depth is 1,645 ft (501 m), making it the second deepest in the United States after Crater Lake in Oregon (1,949 ft or 594 m).
The lake was formed about two million years ago as part of the Lake Tahoe Basin, with the modern extent being shaped during the ice ages. It is known for the clarity of its water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides. The area surrounding the lake is also referred to as Lake Tahoe, or simply Tahoe. More than 75% of the lake's watershed is national forest land, comprising the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit of the United States Forest Service.
Lake Tahoe is a major tourist attraction in both Nevada and California. It is home to winter sports, summer outdoor recreation, and scenery enjoyed throughout the year. Snow and ski resorts are a significant part of the area's economy and reputation. The Nevada side also offers several lakeside casino resorts, with highways providing year-round access to the entire area.
