This stunning place deserves a space in our adventure vlog - from scrambling down to the waterfall, being rained down on by thousands of gallons of water, climbing our way back up and getting drunk with a load of locals celebrating their day off! Probably one of our best days in Cambodia!

Kbal Chhay Waterfall at Sihanoukville, Cambodia
Kbal Chhay waterfall is located in Khan Prey Nup, about 16 kilometers north of the downtown Sihanoukville. To reach the site from Sihanoukville, take National Road 4 toward Phnom Penh. About 7 kilometers out side of town, there is a sign announcing the site. Turn left and go 9 kilometers along a trail. The water at Kbal Chhay comes from many sources along the mountain range, although only three of these sources are visible. The waterfall, which is 14 meters high, is at the point where those three sources joint. for more information please visit:

Sihanoukville - Kbal Chhay Waterfall - Cambodia Tour
We spent half of our day at this place called Kbal Chhay waterfall. It's our last day from Sihanoukville trip for 3 Days and 2 nights there. The 3rd day we are on the way back on National road 4 to Phnom Penh city but we spent our last happy time here. It's a beautiful place in Sihanoukville province and about 7 kilometers from Sihanoukville. You will see a sign on the left that say KBAL CHHAY WATERFALL. It's a red road about 9kilometers to this waterfall from National road 4. It's a good place to relax, play in the cold water, having great foods and having fun.

Kbal Chhay waterfall is located in Khan Prey Nup, about 16 kilometers north of the downtown Sihanoukville. To reach the site from Sihanoukville, take National Road 4 toward Phnom Penh. About 7 kilometers out side of town, there is a sign announcing the site. Turn left and go 9 kilometers along a trail. The water at Kbal Chhay comes from many sources along the mountain range, although only three of these sources are visible. The waterfall, which is 14 meters high, is at the point where those three sources joint.
Kbal Chhay was discovered in 1960. Three years later, it was developed into a reservoir to supply clean water to the city of Sihanoukville. The reservoir construction, however, was interrupted due to civil war, and the site became a hide-out for the Khmer Rouge. In 1997, Kbal Chhay was marked for development, and a year later Kok An Company was awarded a contract to construct a road and develop the site for tourism.

Ream National Park and Kbal Chhay Waterfall, Sihanoukville, Cambodia
Ream National Park was established in 1993 and is located north of Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The park contains a combination of forests, rivers, estuaries, beaches and mangroves. Kbal Chhay Waterfall is also located north of Sihanoukville with a series of waterfalls, you can relax the time away. Locals of the area also provide great food and areas to relax during the day.

When we get back from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh city, we never forget to to go to Kbal Chhay waterfall to play the water and have lunch there. It's a beautiful natural resort with fresh air, ecological tourism, good for relaxing, enjoy swimming with kids as the flowing water is not deep. but if you need a waterfall flowing from the top, you need to go down a level as they made a ladder to go down and enjoy down there.

To reach the site from Sihanoukville, take National Road 4 toward Phnom Penh. About 7 kilometers out side of town, there is a sign announcing on a small banner about the site. Turn left and go about 9 kilometers along a trail red road with trees and sound of birds. We have to park the van aside and walk across the water on rock to the cottage by the waterfall where we can rest, relax and have lunch there. The water at Kbal Chhay comes from many sources along the mountain range, although only three of these sources are visible. Kbal Chhay waterfall resort located in Prey Nup district, Sihanouk province, Cambodia. It is about 16 Km in the north of the downtown Sihanouk. We can drive a car from Ocheteaul beach across national road 4 toward Phnom Penh. Then we can turn left and go 9 Km along a trail. The water of Kbal Chhay resort comes from sources along the mountain range and has about 14m high. It was discovered in 1960 for creating a reservoir supplying the clean water to Sihanouk province, but it develops by Kok An company for tourism site in the present time. It is fascinating natural beauty for tourist destination. Therefore, let go with me
