Derby is nice town Located on the coast and was once a port. There's a Boab Prison Tree which is well worth a look. Some of the locals carve the Boab nuts there as well. The pier has huge tidal falls and people often catch crabs off there.

The horizontal falls is a natural phenomenon created by water building up faster than the over side of the gap. Its Like an old fashion weight - you place a weight on one side, the other side rises up and as you lift the weight off it goes to the other side. The water build up depends on the tide.

Located around 80kms off the highway from Fitzroy Crossing to Halls Creek in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia, Djugerari remote Aboriginal Community is set in some of the mest spectacular country around! A small community with a Primary school and small service centre (but no shops), the community can become inaccessible in very wet wet seasons!

Our Medical Missions School just got back from Derby in the Kimberley, Western Australia. During their stay, they met a girl who saw Jesus and whose mum accepted Jesus, after the team felt to pray for the girl several times.
Our Megacities ministry invites international teams into a city, partnering together with local initiatives for city change. Here is a testimony that gives a glimpse of what God is doing right now in Manila, Philippines.

I took a scenic flight with North West Bush Pilots from Derby, Western Australia. Advertised as a Horizontal Waterfalls flight, but there is so much more to it than just the 'Hori Falls'!!!
The West Kimberley has so much to offer, the beauty from the air is amazing.
A must do for anyone in the area.

Jandamarra is a legend of the Bunuba people. We remember him as a great warrior, and
as a clever and courageous leader who defended our country against overwhelming odds. We remember him as a Jalgangurru, a man bestowed with spiritual powers that owed from the timeless law of our country, who could disappear, transform into a bird and shield himself from deadly weapons. He grew up at the time when the pastoralists were first laying claim to our country. It was the frontier; a time of violence and great upheavals. He was only in his mid twenties when he was gunned down, but in his short life he created a legacy that will never be forgotten.
He was born around 1873. At about the age of 11, Jandamarra and his mother came in from the bush to live on Lennard River Station, one of the earliest pastoral stations in the Kimberley. Jandamarra became a strong horseman, a crack shot and a competent English speaker. But after this first taste of station life, he returned to join the Bunuba still living a traditional life, outside the control of the stations. He was caught up in a police raid, and served time in Derby in jail for sheep-stealing.
When he eventually returned to his country, he worked at Lillimooloora Station with Bill Richardson. When Richardson joined the police force, Jandamarra became his tracker. As a tracker, he helped the police capture many of our ancestors – his own people – taken away in chains to distant gaols, many never to be seen again. It was in this period that he became known as a reckless womaniser who outed the kinship and skin laws.
His close but uneasy friendship with Richardson came to a dramatic end. In late 1894 the pair succeeded in capturing a group which included virtually all of the most senior Bunuba leaders and elders. During the night of October 31 1894, he chose to return to us. He shot Richardson, armed the Bunuba people and began a guerilla campaign against the European invaders.
Jandamarra’s first major act of war was a direct confrontation – the battle of Windjana Gorge on 16 November 1894 – between 30 armed police and a large group of the Bunuba in which he was very badly wounded. He recovered, but the appalling and indiscriminate reprisal killings of Aboriginal people throughout the Fitzroy River valley led Jandamarra to develop different tactics. The Bunuba now targeted property, crops and stock, and harassed and ‘stalked’ the pastoralists without causing human casualties. In this way they tied down the progress of pastoral expansion for over three years. Jandamarra developed an almost superhuman reputation amongst white settlers and police for his ability to elude them.
He was finally tracked down and killed on 1 April 1897 when the police brought in another Aboriginal tracker, Mingo Mick, who had equally legendary powers.
It is over a century since he was killed. But he has been an inspiration to us down through the decades, remembered in stories, in dances, in songs traditional and contemporary, and now in this play. Jandamarra’s extraordinary position – poised between the white and black worlds – makes him a compelling tragic hero. And it makes this story one of the most dramatic of all the tales of the nineteenth-century conflict between Aboriginal people and white settlers.
The definitive historical account of his story is Jandamarra and the Bunuba Resistance written by Howard Petersen in collaboration with Bunuba elder Banjo Woorunmurra, published by Magabala Books.

SCHOOL IS COOL
The Mary G Foundation was engaged to deliver an Indigenous Advancement Strategy project aimed at Improving School Attendance. Mary G was also been engaged to deliver the Remote School Attendance Strategy in the remote Kimberley community of Kalumburu, Western Australia.
The Remote School Attendance Strategy operates in 77 remote schools across Australia, and employs local people to develop and deliver tailored strategies to lift school attendance.
In the delivery of both projects Mary G has made a number of visits to Kalumburu and as part of this work has developed the following video. The process around the recording of videos has engaged the local community in some important messages – the following video is specifically for parents of young children. The video reinforces the importance of regular attendance at school to give kids the best chance in life.

Most pics of clouds and sky were taken at Derby or Broome WA. Zeitgest is an interesting movie, please watch it. Have you noticed the way Jet pilots sneak through the crowd like mongrel dogs, head down trying to just get out of there? Other captains of other vehicles walk tall and proud.
The government is changing the world around us. Why wont they tell us what they are doing? There is more than one type of weapon deployed here. Silver iodine, aluminium and barium salt are a few.
Create a chrome dome, improve radio communications, administer infections, seed clouds, absorb moisture, make the air more conductive (spray and zap), dumb down/suppress man and god only knows what else!!!.
No cold fronts with that beautiful cold fresh air that makes you feel alive and remember the Earth is great. Now it is a hot, still radiated heat that burns your skin, takes your breath away, makes you feel sick and remember there are very evil minds on this Earth. Where is the build up we all wait for every year? Where are the thunder storms rolling past? Why is the lightning orange not blue? How come - no planes flying over =clear sky. Remember trying to make shapes with/in the clouds? Now it is a misty web looking translucent crap, no hope in using your imagination to find a animal shape or other.
Its been raining for 3 days and nights(last year it rained for 3 months straight!). With all this time to sit on my ass inside like a freak, Instead of being out side making/doing something, playing with my dog, going to the beach or other outdoor activity like work, living my life the same way I have for the last 33 years. I thought while im all pissed off with the reason why I am stuck inside I would make this vid. I HATE TV, NEWS AND RAIDO.

Meekatharra is a town in the Mid West region of Western Australia. Meekatharra is an Australian Aboriginal word meaning 'place of little water'. At the 2001 census, Meekatharra had a population of 945, with 36.2% being Indigenous Australians.[1]
Meekatharra is a major supply centre for the pastoral and mining area in the Murchison region of Western Australian.
It was an important location in the Western Australian Government Railways system - being the northernmost location in the Northern Railway railway network, apart from the isolated Marble Bar Railway branch out of Port Hedland. For a while a further branch line continued eastwards to Wiluna The line was closed from Mullewa and pulled up in the 1970s.
It is located 764 km north east of Perth and may be reached by the Great Northern Highway. It is a centre for sheep and cattle transshipment, initially by rail but now by road trains. A huge 2181 metre runway, now known as Meekatharra Airport, was built by the Americans during World War II. It serves as an important ETOPS diversion airport for inbound transcontinental flights to Australia. It is also a regional home to the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the School of the Air.
