Convento de la Santisima Trinidad - Convent of the holy Trinity - Fotos
CONVENT OF THE HOLY TRINITY
It is located in the Plaza del Marqués de las Torres. Recollect Nuns of St. Augustine barefoot occupying it, what fun ¬ mended the year 1629.
Architecture. -In floor offers available Latin cross with a nave.
In sum, barrel vaults and lunettes, dome on the cruise and rich decoration. In the two beautiful covers gable and tower.
It began construction in 1731 ending at 1,718
All that can be admired in this architectural responds with desta each unit to the aesthetic sense of the time. Indeed, the silhouette of the building, its facade composition, beauty and simplicity of the covers, ornamental motifs and lines all give this church the peculiar physiognomy of the Baroque Sevillian setecentista.
The altarpiece is the work of the second half of XVIII. Unpolychromed is preserved, finding in it the relief of the Holy Trinity, delivery belt to St. Augustine and the sculptures of San Jose, San Joaquin, San Juan de Sahagun, San Nicolas de Tolentino and two Augustinian Saints.
E1 rest of the altarpieces are all the same century. In the Gospel we have the St. Alphonsus Liguori which also revered Redemptorist Saints and St. Gerard Majella St. Clement Mary. In the attic, the image of San Juan de la Cruz's first quarter century.
They follow the altarpiece of the Immaculate, where we find images of Santos Jesuits, Santa Monica (pictured around 1700) with Franciscan Saints, and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
In the Epistle side we see the altarpiece of St. Augustine, which also venerate St. Thomas of Villanova and St. Alipio, the Santa Rita de Casia (1720 figure) with images of San Jose, San Miguel and Santa Maria delicate Magdalena.
