Secret Shrine WAKAMIKO at Kirishima City, Kagoshima, Japan
(Wakamiko Shrine)
I happened to find this hidden place at Kirishima City.
This shrine is just along the seashore.
The atmosphere is full of something spiritual.
Deity has a cocoon-like shape.
I heard only local fishermen come and worship.
(Name of Wakamiko)
The northern part of Kagoshima Bay is the big crater (diameter 20km) and called AIRA Caldera.
The central part of the caldera (north of Mt.Sakurajima) is called Wakamiko.
Wakamiko keeps volcanic activity under sea water.
You can see many hot bubbles are popping up on the water surface.
Local fishermen call the phenomenon Tagiri (which means boiling in local Kagoshima dialect.)
I think that those fishermen built this shrine in hope of calmness of Wakamiko.

Japan in Nazca, The land of Dragonfly
In the Kojiki and the Nihon Shoki, theclassical Chronicles of Japan, Japan was called “Akitsushima”, literally the Land of Dragonfly”, in which Akitsu means dragonfly.
And it is quite interesting to say that in the Nihon Shoki, it is mentioned about Emperor Tenmu who described Japan land when he viewed Japan from high above the sky as followa.
“The Japan Land looks like a dragonfly in copulation.”
This is a very important part of this video.
Emperor Jinmu described Japan when he viewed Japan from high above the sky as follows.
“The Japan Land looks like a dragonfly in copulation.”
You see a land mark in Nazca, a dragonfly in copulation.
Hiroshi Hayashi++++++++++++
No one knows from when and who started calling Japan, Japan.
In ancient times of Emperor Jinmu in “Nihon-shoki” and Emperor Yuryaku in “Kojiki” Japan was called “Akitsu-shima”, which literally means, Island of Dragonfly.Ancient name of Japan was Akitsui-shima.
Today’s story starts from Mt. Takachiho which is no doubt the holiest of all holiest mountains in Japan.
At the foot of the mountain Takahara-town (High Hara Town) is located.
The summit of the mountain looks like a shape of a pyramid.

Here in this video I would like to prove with evidence that Japan was the holy land for all Gods in ancient times.
You can see a line picture of Japan in Nazca together with a line from Mt. Fuji, the line from Mt. Fuji which crosses the line picture exactly at the same point of Mt. Fuji on the actual map of Japan.

Utsunomiya (宇都宮市 Utsunomiya-shi, Japanese: [ɯᵝt͡sɯ̃ᵝno̞mija̠]) is the capital and largest city of Tochigi Prefecture, in the northern Kantō region of Japan. As of May 2015, the city had an estimated population of 518,200, and a population density of 1,240 persons per square kilometre (3,200/sq mi). Its total area is 416.85 km2 (160.95 sq mi). Utsunomiya is famous for its gyoza (pan fried dumplings). There are more than two hundred gyoza restaurants in Utsunomiya.
Greater Utsunomiya (宇都宮都市圏 Utsunomiya Toshi-ken) had a population of 888,005 in the 2000 census. The nearby city of Oyama is included in Greater Tokyo, but Greater Utsunomiya is not, despite the two areas amalgamating somewhat. It is the 10th most populated city in the Kantō region.
- HISTORY
Archaeologists have uncovered evidence that the area of Utsunomiya has been continuously settled since the Japanese Paleolithic period onwards, and numerous burial mounds from the Kofun period are found within its borders. The Utsunomiya Futarayama Shrine (宇都宮二荒山神社), which is the Ichinomiya of Shimotsuke Province claims to have been founded in 353 AD. The town of Utsunomiya developed around this shrine, and the area was under the control of the Utsunomiya clan, an offshoot of the Fujiwara clan from the Heian through Sengoku periods, and was destroyed by Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
During the Edo period, the Utsunomiya area was ruled by a succession of daimyō clans under Utsunomiya Domain, and prospered from its location at the junction of the Nikkō Kaidō and the Ōshū Kaidō. During the Bakumatsu period Boshin War, the Battle of Utsunomiya Castle was a major conflict in the northern Kantō area. Following the Meiji restoration, Utsunomiya was briefly (1871–1873) part of Utsunomiya Prefecture, which was then merged into the new Tochigi Prefecture, and became capital of the prefecture in 1884. Utsunomiya became an important garrison for the Imperial Japanese Army.
With the establishment of the municipalities system on April 1, 1889, the town of Utsunomiya was officially established. At the end of the 1889, Utsunomiya had a population of 30,698 making it the third most populous municipality in the Kantō area, after Tokyo and Yokohama. Utsunomiya was raised to city status on April 1, 1896. On July 12, 1945 much of Utsunomiya and the surrounding areas were destroyed in the American Bombing of Utsunomiya during World War II.
The city limits were expanded from 1951 to 1955 by annexing neighboring Suzumenomiya town and Hiraishi, Yokokawa, Mizuhono, Kunimoto, Shiroyama, Tomiya, Toyosato, and Sugatagawa villages and the part of Shinoi village from Kawachi District and Kiyohara village from Haga District. In 1996, Utsunomiya was designated a core city within increased autonomy. On March 31, 2007, Utsunomiya absorbed the towns of Kamikawachi and Kawachi (both from Kawachi District), pushing the population of Utsunomiya City over 500,000.

Shiroyama Observatory and Hotel Shiroyama
Merry Christmas!
In this video, I show you our brief trip to Shiroyama (the observatory and the Hotel, Shiroyama Kankou Hotel 城山観光ホテル). It was a cold night so we didn't stay too long.
So we got there by catching the Kagoshima Sightseeing City View Bus and we could have left with the same bus, except its schedule at night is such that it only comes twice and the waiting time was too long (nearly 2 hours). Instead, the hotel shuttle bus was available to anyone at the hotel free of charge so we caught it. There is also the option of catching a taxi, I think that it would have cost us nearly 2,000 yen to get to Kagoshima Chuo Station. We could have also walked down the hill and caught a regular city bus, and the walk would have been 15 minutes.
Hope you enjoy the video. ^_^

JAPAN: RECESSION FAILS TO DAMPEN CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
Japanese/Nat
Every year more and more people around the world celebrate Christmas, even though their religious beliefs differ from what is a Christian celebration.
In Japan, Buddhist and Shinto followers have increasingly come round to the celebration of the birth of Christ, a time more traditionally associated with western cultures.
But for Japan, this year's festivities may not be quite so jolly - the shadow of recession still looms large, bringing caution to the High Street in the season of conspicuous consumption.
Most Japanese people follow Shinto, Japan's official religion, although there are also many Buddhists here.
Neither religion officially celebrates Christmas, the Christian commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
The total number of Christians in Japan amounts to less than one per cent of the population, yet still many more join in with the Christmas spirit.
Some Buddhists see the festive period as a holy time and many go to Buddhist temples to pray for good health, long-life and success in business.
Worshippers believe one puff of incense at the temple makes you smarter and healthier.
The Shinto also has strong traditions still practiced today.
At this Shinto-style wedding the bride and groom dress up in traditional Kimono and costumes.
The tradition is still preferred by many young couples - but as with many cultural aspects, the western way is becoming more and more popular.
The Japanese began to adopt the custom of exchanging presents during the festive season from the beginning of this century.
In the early 1930s, department stores started holding Christmas sales, which coincided with distribution of the year-end wage bonus.
This continues today with a buying public purchasing Christmas gifts for family and friends.
But this year less money is being spent as Japan's recession means caution is the name of the game.
SOUNDBITE: (Japanese)
What we have remarked so far is that customers are buying the same kinds of items as last year but they are choosing less expensive ones.
SUPER CAPTION: Shinichi Abe, Sales manager, Keio Department Store
But there are less costly ways to enjoy the season - and the streets of Tokyo are littered with Christmas cheer.
Christmas was first celebrated in Japan as a religious observance in the mid 16th century, by the converts of Spanish and Portuguese missionaries.
It was only in the early Meiji period (late 19th century) that the festival was observed on a larger scale, but even then it was mainly confined to churches and schools sponsored by foreign missionaries.
Although Christmas Day is not a national holiday in Japan, many people go to Western-style parties on Christmas Eve.
