Big shout out to PASEO organizers for the incredible, innovative and ground-breaking Art Festival. Especially thank you to PASEO Associate Director, Agnes Chavez (STEMArts Lab) for her vision to include Drones as an integral part of the venue, and for always thinking about providing Educational resources to the community.
Drones are going to be more and more prevalent in society. We are starting the Drone education effort now. We need everyone to understand this new technology. The benefits are being discovered by everyone who starts on the journey of being a Drone pilot. The risks need to be well understand, documented and planned for.

Historic Kit Carson Memorial Cemetery In Historic Taos New Mexico A Video Tour
This is a video tour of The Kit Carson Memorial Cemetery in Taos, New Mexico. It is very close to the main plaza - within walking distance. It was a gorgeous fall day with the leaves turning beautiful colors, a little dusting of snow on the nearby mountains, and the air was crisp. It is a beautiful cemetery on the edge of the park that has tennis courts, walking/jogging paths, a play area for kids, picnic areas, and more. It was truly beautiful, and one of the few cemeteries in New Mexico, that I have been to, that has grass - albeit, the grass needed re-seeding!
I spoke of the disgust I had when I found out that a centuries-old cemetery - Guadalupe Church Burial Ground - had been covered with a parking lot - here is the link:
I found it a disgrace that something as holy as a burial ground, was covered by a parking lot. Personally, I believe it should be restored. I can't believe that something with such historical value, was selfishly covered with concrete to allow people to park their vehicles closer to the plaza so they didn't have to walk as far. Shame, shame!!
Here are a couple of links for Taos, New Mexico, with more information on the history of the park:

During the height of the Fur Trade, Bent's Fort established itself as one of the most important trading posts in the West - an area which remained largely unexplored by the then -young-and-growing United States. Located along the Arkansas River, Bent's Fort lay only a few yards from what was then Mexico. As the only major permanent settlement along the Santa Fe Trail, it served as a hub of commercial and cultural exchange for Cheyenne and Arapahoe Plains Indians and American trappers, and a stopping point for the US Army, explorers and settlers. Bent's Fort's prominence was short-lived, however; a cholera epidemic devastated the Indian population and caused founder William Bent to abandon the fort in 1849. Salvaging what they could and burning the remainder, Bent's New Fort was built in 1852 in Big Timbers. This episode of Colorado Experience takes you to the original site of Bent's Old Fort, now a National Historic Landmark, where state historians recreate what it was like to visit this Castle on the Plains. Goose Lake - Carson National Forest, NM - June 2018
An adventure driving the Forest Service Road from the village of Red River to Goose Lake --- an eight-mile unimproved dirt road that is only suitable to high clearance, 4WD vehicles driven by experienced drivers. Portions of the road are single lane for lengthy stretches. That's why it is highly recommended to drive to the lake in the morning hours and return in the afternoon hours to avoid narrow passing locations. That aside, the crystal clear lake is the epitome of an alpine lake -- situated at the base of the ridge line that leads to Gold Hill. A hiking trail leads to Gold Hill from the end of the lake with prominent switchbacks that lead to the ridgeline. It's a great spot to spend a few hours picnicking, fishing, hiking or just enjoying the fresh air. Keep in mind that the drive to the lake is taxing and requires attention to the many obstacles in the road such as deep ruts, rock protrusions, mud puddles and narrow passages. Oh yes, and be sure your vehicle can clear the first major obstacle - crossing the Red River at the outset. The local community of Red River is trying to fund raise monies to help with the restoration and maintenance of the road so that the public can continue to have access to the lake and enjoy the forest roads in that area.
