Kawachi Fujien Garden - JAPAN | TRAVEL lust
Kawachi Wisteria Garden (河内藤園, Kawachi Fujien) is a private garden in the wooded hills south of central Kitakyushu, famous for its spectacularly presented, large numbers of wisteria flowers. The garden is opened to the public seasonally during the wisteria season which usually peaks around late April to mid May and during the maple leaf season in autumn.
Scenery to enchant the world! Kawachi Wisteria Garden/Sukiccha! Kitakyushu(2019/3.26 O.A.)
The world-famous Kawachi Wisteria Garden. It first gained renown when an overseas website introduced it as a superb scenic spot in 2012. This privately-run wisteria garden, well known to the cognoscenti, became a popular spot in the twinkling of an eye on SNS. The peak period is around early May. Some 22 kinds of wisteria bloom here in such strikingly beautiful forms as a 110-m tunnel and an arbor of about 3,300 m2. On our program, you’ll see Natallia Shandrykava of Belarus visiting the garden in April of last year.

Top 10 Most Beautiful Tree Tunnels In The World In HD
The Tunnel of Love, Klevan, Ukraine:
The Ukrainian Tunnel of Love is actually a two-mile sector of private railway that serves a woodworking plant near Klevan, a small city located in western Ukraine. I read somewhere that couples pass through this romantic tunnel to make a wish. The myth goes that, if their love is strong and pure, the wish will come true.
May all of your wishes come true, but watch out for the train! It runs three times a day through the leafy tunnel.
Wisteria Flower Tunnel, Kawachi Fuji Garden, Kitakyushu, Japan:
The Kawachi Fuji Garden is a private garden in the city of Kitakyushu (population: 987,000), some 6 hours from Tokyo. While the garden is beautiful by itself, it’s best known for its tunnel of wisteria flowers. When the flowers are in full bloom around April and May, the experience of walking through the tunnel is not unlike walking through a fairy tale.
Gingko Tree Tunnel, Meiji Jingu Gaien, Tokyo, Japan:
Despite it’s reputation as a city of tiny apartments and crowded public spaces, Tokyo is a surprisingly green city. There are parks, open public areas and botanical gardens all over Tokyo.
Cypress Tunnel, Point Reyes, California:
The Point Reyes seashore is the site of the historic Marconi wireless station – one of the earliest radio stations in the world and the only commercial Morse code stations still operational in the US.
Sakura Tunnel, Ogawara, Miyagi, Japan:
Sakura is Japanese for ‘cherry blossom’. Sakura viewing is a tradition in Japan. Besides being extremely pretty, the pink-white flowers of the cherry blossom trees often used as a symbol of the transient nature of life in Japanese poetry and philosophy.
There are many, many places for sakura viewing in Japan, from major cities like Osaka to the countryside. One great place for sakura-viewing is the town of Ogawara in Miyagi prefecture. The sakura flowers fold over a small half-mile long path, creating a tunnel-like effect. Unlike Osaka or Tokyo, there is very little thoroughfare through this tunnel, making it the perfect place for sakura-viewing and reflecting on the beauty and transience of life.
The Dark Hedges, Bregagh Road, County Antrim, Northern Ireland:
One of Ireland’s most photographed natural phenomena, the “Dark Hedges” is an avenue of beech trees planted along a narrow country road. The trees block out much of the sunlight in certain parts, creating a haunting, tunnel-like illusion.
Sagano Bamboo Forest, Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan:
The Sagano Bamboo Forest is located in Arashiyama, a nationally-designated historic site. The pathway you see in the above picture is 500m long, and runs through one of Japan’s most beautiful bamboo forests. No wonder the Agency for Cultural Affairs declared Arashiyama a “Place of Scenic Beauty”. This forest is close to many famous temple and shrines, including the Adashino Nenbutsu-ji Temple.
The sound the wind makes, as it blows through the tall bamboo trees, has been voted by the Japanese authorities as one of 100 must-preserve sounds of Japan.
Yew Tree Tunnel, Aberglasney, Carmarthenshire, Wales:
The yew tree tunnel isn’t entirely natural – after the trees were planted (as per most records, sometime in the 18th century), they trunks were bent over to create extended archs.
The end result is a tunnel of sorts made up of yew tree trunks and branches that makes for pretty surreal experience.
The tunnel itself can be found in the Aberglasney House and Gardens – a medieval-era house situation in Carmarthenshire, western Wales. After you’re through with your tree tunnel walk, you can explore the rest of the house and gardens, most parts of which were built in the 15th century.
For good measure, the house is also said to be haunted by the ghost of Thomas Phillips, the house’s 19th century owner.
Autumn Tree Tunnel, Smuggler’s Notch State Park, Stowe, Vermont, USA:
The dense forests of the park were once used by bootleggers and smugglers during the prohibition era – hence the name.
One of the most popular attractions in the park remains a road covered in trees that form a tunnel-like canopy. The tunnel is at its most beautiful in autumn, when the leaves turn a deep shade of brown, yellow and red.
Bonus point: when you go further down the road, you reach a waterfall known locally as ‘hippie hole’:
Laburnum Tunnel, Bodnant Garden, Tal-y-Cafn, Conwy, Wales:
Bodnant Garden is a historic garden spread over 80 acres surrounding Bodnant House near the town of Tal-y-Cafn in Wales. Originally built in the late 19th century, the house and the attached gardens are now a National Trust property known for its verdant, formal gardens, ponds, and rose gardens.

2. Tunnel of Love, Ukraine

5. Dark Hedges, Ireland
A fantasy-like avenue of beech trees, the Dark Hedges was planted in the 18th century by the Stuart family to impress visitors upon the entrance of their home. 5 Exotic Destinations You Should Have On Your Bucket List
Bucket List Ideas:
Mendenhall Ice Caves
The Mendenhall Lake was formed due to the melting of the glacier. The real beauty of the glacier lies beneath it in the form of ice caves. One of the waterfalls flows and slips under the edge of the glacier, where, over thousands of years, it has carved massive caves through ice. Visiting this natural phenomena will be an experience of a lifetime.
Kawachi Fuji Garden:
Located in the city of Kitakyushu, Japan, Kawachi Fuji Garden is home to an incredible 150 Wisteria flowering plants spanning 20 different species. The garden’s main attraction is the Wisteria tunnel that allows visitors to walk down an enchanting tunnel exploding with colour.
Cano Cristales:
Caño Cristales is a Colombian river located in the Serrania de la Macarena province of Meta. The river is commonly called The River of Five Colors or The Liquid Rainbow, and is even referred to as the most beautiful river in the world due to its striking colors.
Machu Picchu:
A symbol of the Incan Empire and built around 1450AD. Most cities built by the Inca civilization were destroyed by the Spanish conquest. But Machu Picchu was in a hidden location—invisible from below—and not found, making it one of the most well-preserved Inca cities and an archeological gem.
Iguazu Falls:
There is a legend to explain the falls: God wanted to marry Naipí, an Aborigine girl against her wish. She escaped on a canoe with her human lover, Tarobá. Upon realizing this, he got angry and separated the River Iguazu by creating deep falls so that the two will be condemned to an eternal fall.
