Ko Olina Beach Park is a public park on the west side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii within the Ko Olina Resort Community, part of the City and County of Honolulu. Located at the end of several high-end vacation resorts, the park is situated between the man made lagoon and the Ko Olina Marina. The park's white-sand lagoon is one of four in the 640-acre Ko Olina Resort. The water is well protected by the reef, relatively shallow and the beach bordered by a broad, grassy lawn. - With reports of excessive debt and alleged corruption on a massive Los Angeles, California project by China Oceanwide Holdings, What does this mean for the Company’s project in the Ko Olina Resort on West Oahu? Will plans to build the first every Atlantis Resort in the United States now be put on hold for the foreseeable future?

Also, will the recently released renderings really be what the resort will look like? If so, how did China Oceanwide Holdings manage to push through designs that do not match the current aesthetic in the resort, as currently represented by Four Seasons Oahu, Disney Aulani Resort and Spa, the Beach Villas at Ko Olina and Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club?
There are so many things about this project that are not adding up! Our prediction is that nothing happens with Atlantis Ko Olina for YEARS! Maybe we will be wrong, but the writing appears to be on the wall. Will Atlantis be built at all? With limited information available, it’s anyone’s best guess at this point.
Regardless of how all of this plays out, we are of the opinion that the Ko Olina Resort will remains a premier Hawaii resort destination for years to come.

Comme vous pouvez le constater, il y a des espaces de stationnement gratuits disponibles à chaque lagon. Cependant, à certains endroits, le nombre n'est pas très élevé.
Il est conseillé de s'y rendre en semaine puisque le taux de fréquentation est beaucoup plus bas.
Sinon, il y a la marina qui offre des espaces de stationnement, mais des frais sont exigés.
Nous nous sommes rendus directement au lagon # 4 puisque c'est à cet endroit qu'il y a le plus grand nombre de stationnements disponibles et nous avons pu en trouver un assez rapidement.
Ko Olina est situé sur la côte ouest d'Oahu et comprend quatre plages artificielles en forme de croissant. Une promenade a été érigée et celle-ci relie chacune de ces plages.
Nous avons donc emprunté cette promenade afin de visiter les quatre lagons qui font partie de Ko Olina.
Ces lagons sont composés de plages artificielles. Le sable de ces plages provient de Lanai, une île hawaiienne voisine. Des rochers ont même été placés dans l'océan afin de servir de brise-lames. C'est pourquoi les eaux de ces quatre lagons sont aussi calmes.
Je ne sais pas si la plongée en apnée est satisfaisante à cet endroit. Cependant, plusieurs personnes en faisaient.
Lors de notre passage, le ciel était variable. Lorsque le soleil réapparaissait, le sable semblait s'illuminer et l'océan retrouvait sa belle couleur turquoise.
On y retrouve quatre hôtels de renommée: Four Seasons, Aulani (Disney Resort), Beach Villas et Marriot.
Lors de notre promenade, nous avons pu apercevoir deux belles mangoustes à des endroits différents.
Veuillez prendre note que des douches et des toilettes ont été installées à proximité de chaque lagon.

From Waikiki, take H1 freeway West. The drive is approximately forty five minutes to an hour depending on traffic.
