Holiday at Koh Dach Beach Resort, Phnom Penh | Tourist Attraction in Cambodia
Koh Dach Beach resort is one of the most tourist destination and tourist attraction in Cambodia. The location is not too far from Phnom Penh city. It's about 26.50 km. from Wat Phnom to Koh Dach beach resort. It took around 1hr20min. to travel on National Highway 6A. and took another ferry to Koh Dach island. Mostly people visit this place on weekend and holiday. They have many cottages or kiosks along the beach with food serving like grilled chicken, fishes and many other foods. After lunch, we can relax and swim or play on the beach. It's a beautiful beach along the mekong river and it's a great place for weekend getaway. In this video, we packed our foods and traveled to the beach. We rent 3 cottages for 30000riel having lunch and relax till 3:30pm. It was a great memory of weekend trip and we wish to come back again soon.

Koh Dach Beach Tourism Site is 27.5km North-East of Phnom Penh City
I traveled with motorcycle from Phnom Penh city to Koh Dach island on Sunday afternoon in January 21st 2018. I used GoPro Hero 5 camera for the road and all scenes on the ground and used DJI Phantom 3 standard for video from the sky. It's about 27.5km north-eastern of Phnom Penh city. We can travel on National Highway 6A to bridge number 6 and see a Bakheng - Koh Dach ferry port sign to turn right to ferry port. We travel with ferry to Koh Dach island and need to driver another 2Km to the beach. Koh Dach beach tourism site is at the end of the island with beautiful view, windy, relax feeling, kiosks serving foods on the water. It's a great place to relax and swim on the weekend and holiday.

Bicycle Trip to Koh Dach Island
It's a really great bicycle trip to Koh Dach or isolate island at north-eastern part of Phnom Penh city. The bicycle trip started from Toulkork in Phnom Penh city heading to the Cambodian-Chinese friendship bridge as the Cambodian-Japanese friendship bridge is under construction. We crossed the bridge to National Road No.6A to a Ferry Terminal as we have to cross the Mekong River to Koh Dach island. We went to Preak Leap - Koh Dach - Koh Oknha Tei ferry port and spent 1000riel each. The drone shot showing the ferry left port to other side of the river and another ferry coming to our port. We got on ferry crossing the mekong river to Koh Dach island. We continue riding bicycles on the path along the river to a friend's fiancé's home and rest waiting for lunch.
In this video, i used GoPro Hero 5 Black, iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, DJI Phantom 3 Standard.
I hope that you enjoyed watching my video.

Silk Island (Koh Dach) Phnom Penh Cambodia
Koh Dach is a charming 30 square-kilometre island located on the banks of Mekong River, upstream of Phnom Penh. It is a tiny, secluded and sleepy island in the province of Kandal in Cambodia which is just 12km northeast the capital city of Phnom Penh. Aside from a few cars, one would mostly see motorcycles, bicycles, and a few horse or ox-drawn work vehicles on an unpaved main road that runs parallel to the river. The island is approximately 10 kilometers end to end and is surrounded by the Mekong River, accessible via the National Road 6A by crossing the Japanese Friendship Bridge from Phnom Penh. Arriving at the Pek Leap/Koh Dach Ferry port, a short ferry ride across the Mekong River brings you to Mekong Island where the Koh Dach commune resides.
Koh Dach Village, where our project is held at, is one of the five villages in the Koh Dach commune, which is historically known for its traditional silk-weaving industry. This is why Koh Dach is also known as Mekong Island or Weaving Island. There, one can still see some of the old silk workshops based in the local villagers’ homes. Some adventurous tourists occasionally go to Koh Dach to experience the authentic rural life and the local beach with traditional thatched huts at the northern tip of the island, as well as to immerse in the local lifestyle of the villagers living along the Mekong River. Visitors can also relax and enjoy swimming at the Mekong River’s white-sand beach at another end of the island. Likewise, a bike ride through this beautiful, green island is highly recommended. However, as soon as the dry season ends, the island is pretty much quiet.

The village is filled with communities of relatively large stilt houses which represent the preserved rural ethnicity of the country. Their livelihood primarily depends on silk-weaving and agriculture (banana plantations, corn, papaya, and a few rice paddies). However, as we see the emergence of garment manufacturing factories in the city, the traditional silk-weaving industry has dwindled and thus leaving a lagging island community that was once prosperous.
The village has one of the oldest temples in the Mekong which has turned into the monks’ housing. A newly built temple, Kra Pumpich,

It's FREE until October 31st to get from Phnom Penh International Airport to Central Train Station by train. This new service saves you around $7 or more, and it's all hassle free. The 30 minute journey, which depends on traffic (cars and people on the tracks!) and the amount of near misses, will slowly make its way though some cool scenery, including villages and plenty of local people.
AIRPORT FOOD: Make sure you try the new open restaurant next to the Royal Train waiting room. The prices are amazing and there is plenty of seating. There are plenty of other restaurants to choose from located in the airport, but the prices are inflated. You just can't beat Khmer food at affordable prices.
MUSLIM FAITH: If you are looking for halal food, look no further. There is one restaurant which serves tasty food. Don't forget that to the left of the Royal Train waiting room is a mosque where you can pray.
TOILETS: Right next to the Royal Train waiting room. It's on the left.
