LET THERE BE SUN -- our last full day was filled with sun, and a tiny bit of rain, but this was the most sun we've had the whole trip! Great ending to an eventful trip! Koh Panyee floating market was an eye-opening experience. It is also where the famous floating soccer field is!

Dans ce vlog, je vous fais découvrir un village flottant isolé peuplé de pécheurs musulmans, se trouvant sur la baie de Phang nga, se transformant un marché a touriste durant la journée mais qui après toute cette agitations redevient un village paisible. J'ai décidé de passer un nuit sur place et avec le plaisir d'être le seul voyageur sur place ce qui rend cette expérience unique.
Je vous fais également découvrir le fameux terrain de foot flottant crée par des enfants dans les années 80/90.

GoPro QuikStories Ep 5: Visiting Koh Panyi (Floating Muslim Village) in Phuket, Thailand
Got the opportunity to visit Panyee as part of a day tour to James Bond Islands. Put your organized lunch at the village restuarant. It was a totally unique experience. We marvelled at how nobody had lost their lives in the 2004 Tsunami in this man made floating village.
After lunch we decided to explore this floating island. To exit the restuarant and get into the village, you need to go to the back of the restuarant and through the kitchen. It took us a while to figure this out and we eventually just asked our guide? So just a heads up for your ease of reference.
This place is like a maze so to avoid getting lost, be conscious of the paths you are taking. The locals line the paths selling souvenirs and trinkets. They are quite insistent so don't get too taken aback, they are also trying to make a living. But do be weary of the fake plastic Pearl's they try to pass of as real ones.
There is even a school on the island which we got to visit. The kids are still in class the teachers don't mind the tourists popping into the classes but o cannot stress this enough! Would you want random strangers freely walking into your kids class? Didn't think so, so please refrain from interrupting their lesson.
The people here are so helpful and friendly. One of the people on our tour got lost and the poor guide was searching for an hour. Eventually we this kid signaling us to wait, while ushering him to the boat.
Out of all the places we visited through our Thai holiday, Panyee really has a special something.
The place is worth the experience.

There's no better way to explore Thailand than by boat, that's why we went island hopping to James Bond Island and Koh Panyi for our fashion photoshoot.
We also enjoyed some Roti and Thai Iced Tea in Old Phuket Town, and ended our day at a Buddhist Temple.

Famous for being built on stilts this fishing village located in the region of Phang Nga Thailand is home to 360 families. These household are home to around 1685 people that descend from two seafaring families from Java.
