The Serpent roller coaster Kokomo's Saginaw Mi
I wanted to see how the HX9V active stabilization handled a rollercoaster. Kokamo's has a small coaster in town. I figured I'd check it out. The rollercoaster threw me forward at the bottom of the hills. Could be I had my eyes closed :) I don't like heights or rollercoasters. I also was surprised at the amount of G-Force when we were going around in circles.
Downtown Saginaw Michigan memories - Saginaw Cool City
An old rust belt city, Saginaw Michigan has some of the most beautiful architecture in Michigan. Saginaw Michigan was a great safe city to live in during the 1960's. The Hoyt Library is one of the most beautiful library buildings in the United States. The original Post Office was build as a castle and is a historical landmark. The Temple theater is one of the last palace theaters built during the golden age of movie houses.
Saginaw Cool City, Carmen Park, Saginaw Memories by WJDJ
Saginaw Cool City. We lived in what was called Carmen Park from 1960 until the early 1970s. Our neighborhood was a safe, family area. Carmen Park is still a nice area, but the rest of Saginaw has experienced economic strife.
Unfortunately, none of the of the people who took these photos live in Saginaw today. But all three have fond memories of their families, neighbors, and the neighborhood they grew up in: Carman Park in Saginaw. Michigan.
I mentioned WJDJ (Jim, Dave, and Joe) in the title because in the mid 1960s we use to operate a pirate radio station on the CB channel 14. We use to play the Monkee's, Paul Revere and the Raiders, and Michigan Garage bands. We read our news from the Saginaw News - the local newspaper. I cannot look at the neighborhood without thinking about the pranks that we use to pull off.

Michigan driving—Saginaw to Freeland
An evening drive from Saginaw to my hometown of Freeland, Michigan (speed: 2.5x). I hope you enjoy it :) Sorry about the camera angle; I realize it's a little far to the right...I was recording this by myself and didn't notice at first; the camera was leaning flat against the windshield to stop it from moving.
Deer Creek Cottages, Saugatuck Mi
Deer Creek Cottages and Guest House is where you come to escape everything but geniality. Built in 1877 by local ship Captain, James Tisdale, this guest house has inspired generations of care and love. The house is embraced and shaded by 100-year-old oak trees and bordered by lawn, bushes and lovely flower gardens.
Located strategically on the dune side of Saugatuck this guest house and its cottages are nestled in a wooded area adjacent to the second-oldest golf course in Michigan and face a small inlet from Saugatuck Harbor.
The owners Kelly and Kevin Sabourin, a refreshingly young couple, have a contagious enthusiasm for the Inn and its surroundings. They have a clear environmental conscience and believe that the perfect B&B is the right combination of place, undisturbed nature and hosts. They have created an environment that is kind on the senses where guests can mix easily.
Deer Creek is the perfect setting for a family vacation!
