We went to jeju, seoul, busan. The most memorable place was jeju. We rented a car and I was driving first time on the left side of the road. We stayed near Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak 성산일출봉 Its nice staying away from the city in a small village.
We were lost as google map could not navigate in korea. Please use naver if you wants to navigate or rent a gps from the car rental company.
I visited myeongdong, ewha university 이화여자대학교, jjimjilbang and drank the korean rice drink for the first time.
We ate black pork which was wonderful!
Visited GD's cafe (몽상monsant Cafe) in jeju and saw sunset there.
Went for a DMZ tour which was an eye opener. There were lots of rules so please follow all the rules.
Had lunch at Noryanjin fish market. It was a unique experience.
We on a day tour to busan. We had seafood at busan's jagalchi market 부산 자갈치시장.
And lastly we took the zip line into nami island! The view was magnificent!

Travel Tip: Great Korean Apps
-= Please Like, Comment, and Subscribe =-
With more people coming to Korea and the prevalence of iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches, I thought I'd quickly introduce two great travel apps.
The first is Seoul Bus. It has real-time GPS data on the buses in the Seoul Metro area. It's great for knowing when buses are approaching or examining your route.
The second is Jihachul, the subway app. This app covers all the major metro areas and has some really awesome features. It's a must-have.
Both of these apps are FREE!!!!

OK: How To Navigate Korea Like a Local
One of the most frustrating things about being a foreigner coming into Korea is the realisation that Korea is one of the only countries in the world where Google Maps doesn’t work. Then you realise literally every alternative is significantly more confusing and not one of them uses English....
SO then you NEED to start using one of the Korean Apps for travelling around Korea - A Map App you might say.
There are a couple alternatives, KakaoMaps and Daum are the two most popular, but because of KakaoTalk, Kakao Maps is much easier to use in my opinion so I decided to make a video explaining exactly how to use KakaoMaps while you are in Korea in a way that showed an actual journey from place to place here and tackle the confusing bus journey at the same time!
There are a few things that you can do extra to the things shown in the video, such as pinning a location, or searching for interesting places nearby, but I dont know if anyone is actually wanting that in the video, so maybe Ill make it as a video in the future, you never know!
Happy watching and thanks for subscribing!

(2019 update in description) South Korea English GPS Navigation (BringGo Korea How To) 영어 네비
2019 Update: Atlan 3D maps now supports full English and is a very nice map. Works for Google Play and Apple App Store, in Korean it is 아틀란. Atlan does need internet access, but you can download the maps in advance keep the data usage to very small levels. Since the 2018 Olympics Naver Maps and KakaoNavi (part of Daum maps) support English as well. However compared to Atlan and Bringo these are far less pretty to look at.
Also big plus is that Atlan 3D has FULL SUPPORT FOR MOTORCYCLES! Avoid car only roads.
Atlan 3D Google Play:
Atlan 3D for Apple App Store:
Options for apps in Korea and details on getting the best option BringGo Korea setup and set to English, as well as how to input addresses and look up points of interest.
Waze: Free but uses open source maps and uses data connection
Bringgo Korea: 30 free, $10 for life. No data needed once map is downloaded.
Available on both Android and iOS.
GPS (United States Air Force) & GLONASS (Russian Aerospace Defense Force) are both open satellite navigation networks that can be used by many phones and tablet made after 2014. With the correct app, you will not need data network access to use these for navigation.
For full information on why Google Maps does not work with walking and driving directions in South Korea, please search Google for the full story. The Wall Street Journal did a few great bits on it.

SSG is here to let you in on the ‘R.E.A.L.“ Korean language tips and culture. If you can remember these words, your traveling experience in Korea will be a lot more fun!
When looking at a taxi, you can see a sign with red letters hanging near the top of the windshield. This sign is used to signal if the taxi is occupied or not.
- If you see the word [빈차]
that means the taxi is available and you can try to signal it!
- If you see the word [예약]
that means there’s already someone inside the taxi.
[How to use the taxi app In more detail]
① Just download the app.
② You can switch to English.
③ Click your current location, Enter the destination.
④ Taxi model selection.
⑤ Choose your payment method.
⑥ Then press the request button.

BEST MONEY CHANGER IN SEOUL
(Includes a phone screen video capture to show you where it is exactly)
----
We've been to Korea a couple times and we always look at exchange rates around different areas in Seoul and we always end up at this one spot in front of the Chinese Embassy in Myeongdong. They have the best forex rates based based on we've seen so far.
***Travel Tip: Forex comparisons are more accurately done on a weekend because the forex markets are closed so the rates are fixed for Saturday and Sunday so they don't fluctuate.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
BEST PRACTICES:
1. The Exchange Rate at the Airport is really high, so either bring enough Korean Won or exchange what you need at the Airport until you reach the city.
For info on transportation from Airport to Seoul - watch this video:
2. Always bring your passport with you. It's required when exchanging money.
3. Forex Rates are different depending on the bills. For example - larger bills like $100s and $50s have better rates compared to $20s and $20s
4. There is an abundance of money exchange places in Seoul so don't worry about running out of cash.
5. We don't commit to just one place, we just walk through the area and scout for the best rate and just pick the lowest.
6. Always count your money in near the counter to avoid disputes.
7. Familiarize yourself with Korean currency even before your trip. It'll help you count and also make purchase transactions faster.
8. In case you don't have or don't want to bring a lot of cash - Seoul is Credit Card friendly so you can easily use it almost everywhere, even at convenience stores. (Although it's always best to have 2 - 3 card options if one terminal doesn't accept your card).
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
HOW TO GET TO THE MONEY EXCHANGE AREA IN FRONT OF THE CHINESE EMBASSY
1. Your GPS is your best friend. Use it to the fullest
2. It's the street Across Lotte Young Plaza. Find the Tourist Police Booth and you'll see the small street where Starbucks is at currently. You'll see a lot of Forex Signs there. That's where you want to go.
3. If you're coming from the other side, just look for the KT Myeongdong building.
4. Just look for Myeongdong 2-gil. That's the exact street area, but it's in between two Namdaemun - ro (ro means diverging streets)
