Zamek w Kórniku – zabytkowa rezydencja historycznych rodów Górków i Działyńskich, położona w mieście Kórnik, w województwie wielkopolskim. Obecnie siedziba muzeum i Biblioteki Kórnickiej PAN. Początki zamku sięgają średniowiecza, jego obecny kształt pochodzi z połowy XIX wieku. 11 lipca 2011 roku obiekt uznany został za Pomnik historii Polski
Kórnik Castle was constructed in the 14th century. The current neogothic design and remodeling was done by the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel for Tytus Działyński and the son Jan Kanty Działyński. After Jan's death, his brother-in-law Count Władysław Zamoyski received the castle in Jan's will. Shortly before his death in 1924, the childless count willed the castle, along with an extensive art collection and the Kórnik Arboretum to the Polish state.
The castle currently houses a museum and the Kórnik Library. It's one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments (Pomnik historii), as designated July 11, 2011 and tracked by the National Heritage Board of Poland.
Le château de Kórnik est un château néogothique situé dans la ville du même nom, dans la voïvodie de Grande-Pologne, ancienne Posnanie prussienne. D'abord construit dans un but défensif, au XIVe siècle, le château a été remanié au XIXe siècle par l'architecte Karl Friedrich Schinkel pour le mécène et homme politique polono-prussien Tytus Działyński.
Le château est inscrit aux monuments historiques polonais depuis 2011. Il possède également un magnifique parc avec un arboretum où sont conservés des chênes très âgés.

Kórnik is a town with about 7,600 inhabitants (2018), located in western Poland, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south-east of the city of Poznań. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the Wielkopolska region and the Greater Poland Voivodeship because of the historical castle and arboretum, which is the oldest and richest collections of trees and shrubs in Poland. The town's notable sites include:
Kórnik Castle, built in the 14th century, but designed and rebuilt in the 18th century in neo-Gothic style by architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel for the Działyński family.
Kórnik Arboretum, established in the early 19th century by Count Tytus Działyński, later enriched with new species and varieties by his heirs, his son Jan Kanty Działyński and grandson Władysław Zamoyski. It is the largest and oldest arboretum in Poland and fourth largest arboretum in Europe, with over 3300 taxa of trees and shrubs.
Town halls of both Kórnik and Bnin. That of Kornik was built in 1907 as a neo-Baroque city hall; Bnin's is a piece of original 18th-century late Baroque architecture.
Kórnik Library is one of the most famous Polish libraries, founded by Tytus Działyński in 1828. Currently the library, despite being looted by the German Nazis during World War II, is one of the five largest libraries in Poland and contains roughly 400,000 volumes, including 30,000 books more than 150 years old, and 14,000 manuscripts. Since 1953 it has been a part of the National Library of Poland...

Castle in Kórnik - a historic residence of the historic families of Górków and Działyński, located in the town of Kórnik, in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship. At present, it is the seat of the museum and the Kórnik Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The castle dates back to the Middle Ages and its present shape dates back to the mid-19th century. On July 11, 2011, the building was recognized as a Monument to the History of Poland.

Schloss Kornik
Die größte Touristenattraktion von Kòrnik ist die wunderbar erhaltene Adelsresidenz aus dem 15. Jh. Im Schloss befindet sich Interieur aus dem 19. Jh. Zum Schloss gehört eine weiter Park aus dem 18. Jh. das Arboretum mit über 3000 Baum -und Straucharten.

Zamek w Kórniku z lotu ptaka
Zamek w Kórniku, mieście w województwie wielkopolskim, to zabytkowa rezydencja, której dzieje mogą sięgać nawet średniowiecza. Budowę zamku rozpoczęto prawdopodobnie w XIV wieku, gdy właścicielami Kórnika był historyczny ród Górków.
Murowana, otoczona fosą twierdza obronna została ukończona około 1430 roku, z kolei w XVI wieku została przebudowana w stylu renesansowym. Do 1592 roku zamek był reprezentacyjną siedzibą wspomnianego już rodu Górków, jednego z najpotężniejszych rodów magnackich Wielkopolski doby renesansu i reformacji. W jego murach gościło wiele znamienitych osobistości, w tym Henryk Walezy, który w 1574 roku odwiedził posiadłość, przejeżdżając przez Kórnik w drodze na koronację do Krakowa.
Nowy okres świetności zamku nastąpił w drugiej połowie XVIII wieku. Jego właścicielką została wówczas Teofila z Działyńskich Szołdrska-Potulicka, która przebudowała swoją siedzibę nadając jej charakter barokowej rezydencji arystokratycznej. Ostatnią przebudowę zamku przeprowadził natomiast Tytus Działyński, za sprawą którego w XIX wieku niegdysiejsza twierdza przeobraziła się w okazałą posiadłość utrzymaną w duchu neogotyku angielskiego, zachowanym do czasów współczesnych.
W zamiarze Tytusa Działyńskiego zamek miał być nie tylko prywatną rezydencją, ale także służyć narodowi jako biblioteka i muzeum. Tytus zapoczątkował gromadzenie starodruków i rękopisów, które do dzisiaj są przechowywane w Bibliotece Kórnickiej. Z kolei ogród w stylu francuskim Teofili Potulickiej przekształcił w park w stylu romantycznym.
Obecnie w zamku mieści się muzeum, w którym prezentowane są liczne unikatowe eksponaty, w tym meble różnych stylów i epok, obrazy mistrzów polskich i europejskich, rzeźby, kolekcje numizmatyczne, militaria polskie i wschodnie oraz wyroby rzemiosła artystycznego z porcelany i srebra. Zabytkowa rezydencja jest też siedzibą Biblioteki Kórnickiej Polskiej Akademii Nauk, jednej z największych bibliotek w Polsce.
Z zamkiem w Kórniku wiąże się również legenda, która głosi, że nocą po parku i zamkowych komnatach przechadza się Teofila z Działyńskich Szołdrska-Potulicka. Duch dawnej właścicielki posiadłości nazywany jest Białą Damą, od koloru sukni na jej jedynym portrecie.

Arboretum w Kórniku.
The Kórnik Arboretum is the largest and oldest arboretum in Poland and fourth largest arboretum in Europe, with over 3300 taxa of trees and shrubs. It was established in the early 19th century around the historical Kórnik Castle by its owner, Count Tytus Działyński, later enriched with new species and varieties by his heirs, his son Jan Kanty Działyński and grandson Władysław Zamoyski.
The arboretum covers over 40 hectares (99 acres) and is famous for rich collections of rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias, conifers, lilacs, apple trees, cherries, meadowsweets, honeysuckles, poplars, birches, and other woody species from all over the world. Old specimens of native and alien trees and shrubs can be seen there, such as lindens, beeches, oaks, maidenhair trees, arborvitaes, spruces, and firs.
The Institute of Dendrology in Kórnik is located within the arboretum.
