Hamarikyu is a beautiful Edo-period garden hidden just beyond the Shiodome and Shimbashi area.
Zojoji is one of the seven great head temples of Jodo Sect, located in Shiba Park. It was built in 1393 and moved to this location in 1598. Zojoji is known to be the family temple of the biggest shogunate during the Edo period and in fact is the house of 6 Tokugawa shogunates.
One of the indearing features of this site is located on the side of the main building. The Sentai Kosodate Jizo statues stand in line in cute little red hats and pinwheels smiling at you.
The Tokyo Farmer's Market is located in front of United Nation University, just 5 minutes walk from Omotesando Station.
Jiyugaoka, directly translated means Freedom Hill. The area started developing in the 1920’s and over the years has become desirable places to live in Tokyo. Wide open streets, minimal crowds, a variety of shops and restaurants and only a 12min ride from Shibuya make it one my favorite chill spots in Tokyo.
Koto Hirgagu shrine is wedged right in the middle of the Toranomon business district. Built in the 1600's, this shrine used to be the south entrance of Edo Castle.
The 4 animals on the torii represent the 4 Guardians of the East, West, South and North. It signifies that this was once a very powerful site. It enshrines the strongest god in Japanese mythology Oomono Nuno Kami.

Japan Project: Kamakura Daibutsu #Episode 2
Hello everyone! Welcome back to this second episode of the Japan Project! Today I will bring you to visit the Daibustu in Kamakura. Even this episode is recorded using 4k Yi camera as well the Zoom H4n.
I decided to add an OST too in the background because i felt like it was perfect with the cicada sound that we can hear in summer in Kamakura.
I used a flat log profile and color edited with DaVinci Resolve. I'm still trying to work on the coloring part, so any comment is highly appreciated. Do you have any preferred LUT to suggest? How do you usually color grading your footage? Please let me know in the comments below!

25, 26 e 27 Aprile 2019. Alla scoperta di Tokyo e dintorni.
25 Aprile.

Great Buddha Statue in Kamakura Japan |
The Great Buddha (Daibutsu or 大仏 in Japanese) of Kamakura City Japan is one of the most popular and interesting places to visit when you come to Japan. Not far from Tokyo, Kamakura can be easily reached by train for a pleasant day trip away from the big city. There are also bus lines which can take you here. Don't worry about your Japanese skills when you come to Kamakura as you'll find local merchants and vendors are happy to help you in every case.
When you come to see the Great Buddha of Kamakura then please visit in the morning when you can enjoy the statue when the lighting is at its best. Japan is quite famous among photographers for the excellent lighting conditions which are at their best in the hours just after dawn and before sundown.
Don't forget to go down and into the enormous Buddha of Kamamura when you come here, as you'll find the view from the inside to be quite interesting and pleasant. Also, there's something about experiencing the tour from the inside that provides a sense of sharing of this historic object with others.
After your tour of the Great Buddha statue of Kamakura, then please be sure to visit some of the local shops in the area and enjoy some of the local fare. I highly recommend a lunch of traditional Japanese soba noodles with all the fixings and green tea as an especially good way to top of the day. And if the weather is warm, then how about a nice soft cream ice cream cone to top of your tour of the Kamakura Great Buddha statue? Have fun!
