The drive to Lake Kovada National Park was simply breathtaking.
Kovada Lake National Park with the surrounding area of 6534 hectares is one of the Turkish National Parks since 1970. The lake, which is quite shallow, is about 6-7 m in depth, while the width is 9 km. Sediment in the water gives the lake its green colour and hinders the vision beneath 1,5 m.
Kovada Lake National Park lies east of Isparta, and south of Egirdir. The park can be accessed off the 23 km-long road which runs south off the Isparta – Egirdir – Konya highway. The area is popular for trekking, climbing and basic camping.
South from Egirdir (Eğirdir) a quiet road follows a wide, flat-bottomed valley planted with apple orchards and carpeted with wildflowers in spring.
Kovada Lake National Park is a rich working and recreation place for nature lovers. Many kinds of trees from red pine to juniper; from wild olive to European and Turkey oak constitute the basis of the natural flora. Herbs like wild rose, daphne, blackberry enrich this structure. The diversity of flora can be observed in wild life, however many animal species have been endangered due to hunting. Yet, you shouldnt be surprised to see martens, badgers, wild bears, foxes, squirrels or rabbits.

Lake Kovada is a small lake located in the province of Isparta . It's in the lake district. It is a natural extension of Lake Eğirdir and the excess water in Lake Eğirdir flows through a channel to Lake Kovada. Kovada Lake, which is 24 km away from Eğirdir, has a rich vegetation cover and hundreds of animals. Due to these characteristics, it has received National Park qualification. The altitude of Kovada Lake, which is about 40 km 2 and has been formed by karstic collapses, has an altitude of 900 meters, a length of 6 km, a width of 2-3 km and a depth of 6-7 meters. Lake Kovada is located on the north-south direction of the Antalya Gulf. The green pit extends southwards to the name of the Bosphorus Plain. some places are reed, reed. The waters coming from the Eğirdir lake are replaced by the water in places; then come back to the surface. This is the north side of the north-south oriental pit. Covering a karstic depression, this lake is 15 km long and 2-3 km wide. The Cove lies 900 meters above sea level, 11 km has 2 face measurements and the deepest place is only 6 meters.

Apart of this most scenic roads in the world video I travel from Antalya to Lake Kovada National Park in Isparta, and its definitely one of the most scenic roads in the world that I have seen, I did this journey on board my Yamaha Vstar650 and the roads thru the little village and up the mountains were absolutely stunning. Its close to a 100km trip and I did this as a day trip and concluded my day with a BBQ in the Lake Kovada National Park at days end.

Most of the clips in this video are from my trip to Yazılı Canyon, Kovada Lake National Park which is located in IspartaTURKEY. The hotel clips are from Kilikya Palace in Göynük/ANTALYA. Isparta is very close to Antalya.
Yazılı Canyon is known for its delicious trout and scenic views. It is in the Sutculer District of Isparta, in the Mediterranean Region. The area is well known for its lakes and the picturesque views of the area, and also the rich variety of flora and fauna. The best time to visit is between April and October. Yazılı Canyon derives its name from the rock inscriptions on the canyon walls, which includes the writings of the famous philosopher Epictetus. The nature park is known for St. Paul crossing this road during his journey from Perge to Yalvaç. It is also the most direct route connecting the Antalya region to the north. Although referred to as the King's Road, this path is more commonly known as St. Paul’s Trail or the Way of the Cross.
Kovada Lake National Park is popular for trekking, climbing, fishing and basic camping. It is a rich working and recreation place for nature lovers. Many kinds of trees from red pine to juniper; from wild olive to European and Turkey oak constitute the basis of the natural flora. Herbs like wild rose, daphne, blackberry enrich this structure. ovada Lake is an important point for bird watchers as well. Its waters are valuable as it is a watering hole for migratory birds. Wild geese, rudy shelducks, herons, wild ducks, woodcocks come to the lake. If you happen to see bouncing birdson the rocks, know that they are partridges. You shouldnt be surprised to see martens, badgers, wild bears, foxes, squirrels or rabbits too.
