Krasiao Dam was built in B.E.2523 . It is the earth dam built to restore water from Kra Siao Stream. Its length is 4,250 meters and its height is 32.5 meters. The area to restore water is 28,750 rai . The capacity of the dam is 240 million cubic meters. It is the longest earth dam in Thailand and a large breeding ground. It is also a tourist attraction that has beautiful scenery. It is located in Dan Chang sub-district in the area of Royal Irrigation Department’s Krasiao Organization of Operation and Maintenance Project. In the past, there is always a flood in Song Phi Nong District every year until B.E.2523 when Banharn Silpa-archa was the minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. He thought Krasiao Dam cannot store much water. Therefore, he ordered Royal Irrigation Department to build a reservoir at Krasiao Dam to prevent the flood
