Urban lightning show Krasnoyarsk: the Heart of Siberia
In 2019 we continued to transform the urban environment in Krasnoyarsk and created the second stationary lightning show The Heart of Siberia at the architectural complex on the junction of Yenisei river, which includes the 550 meters long Vinogradovsky pedestrian cable-stayed bridge, as well as the Museum Center Square of the World (the largest exhibition platform of contemporary art in Siberia) and the Bolshoi concert hall of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic. Besides we programmed the dynamic illumination system of the whole somplex again.
This time the plot of the show was based on genius loci of the city and symbolically reflected its sightseeings and unique features. Unfortunately we could not display clear images on the architectural objects (except media facades) because of the physical limitations of the working surfaces. That is why we create a concept of the show using maxims of emotional design with the associative color and shape row, which contained symbols of Krasnoyarsk, such as The Yenisei, Krasny Yar, Krasnoyarsk Pillars etc.
The show was 8 minutes long. It was supported by original visual row, which integrated color-dynamic solutions, spectacular visual moves and optical illusions, the drama of the presentation enhanced with the original sound accompaniment.

Dynamic lighting of Krasnoyarsk Strelka complex
In 2018, we took part in a large-scale project of transforming the urban environment in Krasnoyarsk. The client turned to us with the idea of creating the first stationary audiovisual urban show in Russia at the architectural complex on the junction of Yenisei river, which includes the 550 meters long Vinogradovsky pedestrian cable-stayed bridge, as well as the Museum Center 'Square of the World' (the largest exhibition platform of contemporary art in Siberia) and the Bolshoi concert hall of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic. We had to create a project to automate the complex, develop sound and visual contents, write light scenarios for different modes of its operation, supply control equipment for the project, assemble custom control panels, install and tune up the entire system.
It took us about half a year to implement the project: a lighting system was designed over a month, another 4 months were spent on installation, which took place in difficult climatic conditions, and another month was needed for commissioning of the entire complex. The architectural lighting complex includes more than 15,000 RGBW-controlled pixels, over 2,000 linear RGBW lamps and 2 LED media facades. They formed a system of more than 200 DMX universes with more than 100,000 DMX addresses. To manage the complex, we have developed and assembled more than 100 automation cabinets. It took over 13 km of cable routes to connect these elements into a single network.
The installed technical solution allows to withstand temperature drops from -40 to +40 ° C; neither high humidity nor the vagaries of the weather affect its operation. The system does not require manual control: we have precomposed several scenarios of its work, tied to the calendar and launched automatically according to the schedule. There are modes designed for weekdays, weekends, holidays and light show mode, complemented by sound. The illumination automatically starts working after sunset.
We have paid special attention to the light show mode: first, we conducted a situational analysis and photographing, then selected the best observation points from which viewers could watch the dynamic lighting, and adjusted the show to be visible from those. Especially for this show was written musical accompaniment.
The system showed its efficiency by making the embankments of Krasnoyarsk the center of attraction during the Universiade 2019. Foreign visitors and local residents highly appreciated the result of our work.

Siberian city unveils statue of Lenin in style of computer game Minecraft
(28 Nov 2017) The Russian city of Krasnoyarsk has a new monument - a statue of Vladimir Lenin in the style of the computer game Minecraft.
The two-meter-high monument made of cardboard was erected by artists Aleksander Zakirov and Ivan Tuzov from the group City Stories.
It's displayed in front of the Krasnoyarsk Museum in Siberia which hosts many Lenin exhibits.
The cardboard statue of Lenin imitates monuments of him found in many other Russian cities - a towering Lenin atop a pedestal with a raised arm.
However this particular depiction of the most famous Bolshevik has caused outrage among local Communists.
The leader of the Communist Party in Krasnoyarsk called the statue 'a blasphemy' and demanded it be demolished.
To me, such kind of reaction was shocking, said Aleksander Zakirov, one of the Minecraft Lenin creators.
I would never have thought that politicians would care about an art object. It's just a cardboard monument, not a real one.
The cardboard statue won't be on display for much longer. The artists say it will soon be dismantled ahead of the snowy Siberian winter.

Khabarovsk (Russian: Хаба́ровск; IPA: [xɐˈbarəfsk]; Chinese: 伯力; pinyin: Bó Lì; Manchu: ᠪᠣᡥᠣᡵᡳ; Möllendorff: Bohori) is the largest city and the administrative center of Khabarovsk Krai, Russia,[4] located 30 kilometers (19 mi) from the Chinese border, at the confluence of the Amur and Ussuri Rivers, about 800 kilometers (500 mi) north of Vladivostok. The city also became the administrative center of the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia in 2002. It is the second largest city in the Russian Far East, after Vladivostok. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 577,441.[12]Khabarovsk (Russian: Хаба́ровск, khah-BAH-ruhvsk) is a city on the Amur river in the Russian Far East, near the Chinese border. Often overlooked due to its proximity to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk could easily be a highlight in the long line of predominately dull cities along the Trans-Siberian. But while most cities look their best when the sun is out, only in few is the effect as profound as in Khabarovsk – attractive parks, beaches, outdoor beer tents with live music, and classic architecture awaits if the weather gods favour you. Even if you are unfortunate, it's not a loss to go indoors: the city also houses some of the best museums east of Moscow. However, crime is overall moderate (with one of the notorious racial ethnic gangs known as Stolz Khabarovsk who often has a violent reputation for both LGBT travelers and foreigners of African or Asian descent), so it is best to travel with utmost caution. There is a fantastic cluster of top notch museums along Shevchenko Street, just behind the tall blue-domed Church of Theotokos on Komsomolskaya Square towards the river and stadium. Not only are the museums some of the best in the far east, they also make their home in some impressive century-old buildings dating back to before the revolution. After a visit, the nice river promenade is just a short walk away, so you can wash all that new found knowledge away with some pivos in good company.
Far East Regional Museum (Хабаровский краеведческий музей), 11 Shevchenko St, ☎ +7 (4212) 312 054, [1]. 10AM–6PM. One of the oldest museums in the Russian far east, laid out in 6 sections in an impressive 1894 red-brick building. For the most part it's leaps and bounds ahead of the region's other museums, and with nearly half a million artifacts in the collection, they can afford to be picky about what they display. The ethnographic section with displays of indigenous cultures from around the Amur is unusually informative, but the zoology section is also worth a look, stuffed animals galore! To top it off, it has actually seen some substantial renovations lately, and they even have a few English captions here and there. May be worth considering but the price for foreigners is high for what you see. 300 rubles. edit
Far Eastern Art Museum (Дальневосточный художественный музей), 7 Shevchenko St, ☎ +7 (4212) 328 338. Tu–Su 10AM–5PM. Established in the thirties and now housed in the building of a former officers' club. Them seem to take most pride in their collection of Far Eastern aboriginal art, but they also have a rare collection of ancient Russian religious icons and Japanese porcelain. In the classic exhibition they have a few painters you may have heard of like Titian and Garofalo, but also some lesser known Russian masters. Foreigners 150 rubles. edit
Far Eastern Military Museum (Военно-исторический музей ДВО), 20 Shevchenko St (across from the Art Museum), ☎ +7 (4212) 326 350. Tu–Su 10AM–5PM. Another impressive building from the turn of the 20th century, this one was the state bank up until the 1930s. Weapons galore propped up by medals and other memorabilia. If you are not interested in these sort of things, you can probably give it a miss, but they have a few cool war propaganda posters from the Great Patriotic War and a luxury officers' railway carriage from the twenties in the courtyard, if you need to entertain yourself for a while while any male company goes into boy mode. edit
