LAOS ON A LOW BUDGET - Ep 2 Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Falls
Laos is a beautiful country on the main backpacker route through Southeast Asia.
East of Thailand, West of Vietnam, and North of Cambodia - it's right in the middle of all these popular countries that many travelers visit in SE Asia.
In this second episode of the series I hang out with The NYC Couple and we go explore Kuang Si Falls in Luang Prabang. We end the day back in town in the street markets stuffing our faces with a cheap delicious street food buffet.

The Kuang Si Waterfalls in Luang Prabang are without a doubt the most beautiful waterfalls we have ever seen! If you're visiting Luang Prabang, Laos, you MUST take a day trip to the Kuang Si Waterfalls.
If you're comfortable on a motorbike, we'd highly recommend renting a motor bike and driving yourself to the waterfalls. It's a very beautiful drive! Once at the Kuang Si Waterfalls you can pay a small fee to park your bike and it will be safe and sound!
The waterfalls are separated into different levels. The falls get more beautiful with each level you ascend. The final waterfall is a huge 100+ foot waterfall. Most people stop on the bridge below to admire the falls. However, if you hike up the path beside the waterfall, and you're willing to break the rules, you'll be rewarded with the amazing experience of sitting on the edge of the Kuang Si Falls!

The Kuang Si Falls, sometimes spelled Kuang Xi or known as Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls, is a three tier waterfall about 29 km south of Luang Prabang. These waterfalls are a favourite side trip for tourists in Luang Prabang.

Kuang Si Waterfalls is a must-visit when in Luang Prabang, Laos. Taking a dip in the waterfall pools is the perfect way to cool down. If possible, we recommend driving yourself to Kuang Si so you can explore at your own pace. Also, hike to the top and enjoy the amazing view!

After arriving in Luang Prabang we hired a tuk tuk to bring us to the famed Kuang Si waterfalls. We had seen photos of this amazing place on Instagram and were pumped to go! We left early so that we could get the place to ourselves and it didn't disappoint! This is arguably one of the best waterfalls in SE Asia - and possibly our favorite! It's beautiful colors, perfect for swimming, and the one massive one is just AWESOME! Don't miss Laos and don't miss these falls!

1. Where do you live?: I am based in Edmonton, Alberta & was born & raised in Peterborough, Ontario ... Canada ;)
2. What do you do for a living?: TL Travel is my very own business built by yours truly from the ground up. I love to share my passion for travel with others & I both plan & lead trips abroad. Find more information on the business at tltraveltrips.com or tltravel.ca
3. How do you make money?: Again, all of my income is currently through TL Travel (not youtube.) The content that I create is simply to share my passion with all of you, but of course I am always open to collaborations & other related opportunities.
4. What editing program do you use?: Premier Pro CS6
5. What camera do you use?: For nicer shots and a lot of my vlogs I film with the Canon 70D. When I am on the road & need a bit more waterproof/ drop proof abilities I film with both GoPro & the Olympus Stylus Tough TG-3

6. Did you go to university?: I did. I went to Trent University in Peterborough, Canada & got my BA in Cultural Studies. Everything else unrelated I learned by myself on the internet.
7. How long does it take to edit 1 video?: It is different from one video to another but on average I spend around 2 hours editing each video from start to finish.
8. What are your favorite countries to visit?: I have many favorites but right now Thailand, Nicaragua & Indonesia are at the top of my list of fav.'s
9. What countries are on your bucket list?: New Zealand & India are two that I can't wait to visit one day.
10. What youtubers do you watch?: I watch a ton of different vloggers but Fun For Louis & Raya are 2 of my favorites along with Ben Brown and Craig & Aimee.

Kuang Si Waterfall // Luang Prabang, Laos
Come along to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, Kuang Si!
During my time in Luang Prabang, Laos, I was able to join a group from my guesthouse to go in on a tuk tuk to this beautiful place. As you entered, you get to see an attached bear rescue center, with some adorable bears just chilling. As you make your way to the falls, you are greeted by gorgeous pools of turquoise water. I couldn't believe that they were natural!
After wading around for a while, we explored the three different tears of the waterfalls, including the secret falls, or the middle tier, which was overrun with tourists. Still an amazing day!
