No I'm not a travel vlogger but I wanted to show a different side of Costa Rica that I recently visited on a trip with my wife. The La Paz Waterfall Gardens are located in the mountains and I recommend anyone to go and visit.

CHATS DE LA JUNGLE
Il s'agit de leur plus récente acquisition. Ces animaux proviennent d'un centre qui avait des difficultés financières et celui-ci a dû fermer ses portes et ils ont été placés sous la garde de La Paz Waterfall Gardens.
Voici une énumération non-exhaustive des félins que l'on y retrouve: puma, ocelot, jaguar, jaguarundi, margay.
Comment ne pas tomber en amour avec ces beautés sauvages.

Ouvert de 08h00 à 17h00. Coût: 40 $ US Il est recommandé d'arriver avant 15h30 pour pouvoir avoir le temps de visiter entièrement le parc.
Comme ce parc est situé à une altitude de 1585 mètres et dans une forêt tropicale humide, il est conseillé de se vêtir convenablement car il se peut que la température soit fraîche et qu'occasionnellement, il pleuve.
Il s'agit d'un magnifique parc écologique célèbre pour ses chutes, son refuge qui contient plus de 100 espèces d'animaux et son programme d'éducation environnementale.
Dans ce parc, vous êtes assurés d'apercevoir une forêt tropicale luxuriante, des rivières et des cascades spectaculaires, des oiseaux, des papillons, des insectes, des grenouilles, des singes, des paresseux, des serpents, des jaguars et j'en passe.
Lors de notre arrivée, un plan du site nous est remis et un trajet est suggéré.
CONSEILS
Si vous prévoyez effectuer des excursions au Costa Rica, prévoyez toujours d'apporter des chaussures et des vêtements appropriés pour la sortie que vous entreprendrez.
Informez-vous avant de partir. Il y a plusieurs zones pluvieuses au Costa Rica, surtout en montagne, et certains régions sont très venteuses.
Ne vous aventurez pas hors des sentiers afin d'éviter des rencontres inattendues: serpent, araignée, scorpion, etc.
Ayez toujours de l'eau à votre portée, même lorsque vous vous déplacez en voiture. Si vous êtes pris dans un embouteillage, même si vous avez l'air climatisé dans la voiture, la soif vous tenaille en plein jour lorsque le soleil tape directement sur la voiture.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens in Vara Blanca, Alajuela, Costa Rica
At La Paz Waterfall Gardens your senses will delight at the five waterfalls that line the trail. Originally, the only way one could view the falls was by literally hanging over the side of the mountain, looking through trees and ferns, not very inviting for picture taking. With the construction of Waterfall Gardens, guests are afforded views from platforms above, below and in front of the falls for great waterfall photo opportunities. The park has the closest waterfalls to San José and Poás Volcano. The La Paz Waterfall is the most famous waterfall in Costa Rica where visitors often stop on the road to take photos on their way to Sarapiquí or Arenal but the best waterfalls are actually above the La Paz waterfall along a steep canyon accessed by our safe hiking trails making these five waterfalls the most easily accessible waterfalls in Costa Rica. On our Magia Blanca waterfall viewing platform you can actually take a photo under the waterfall. Great photo opportunities can be found at Templo waterfall and Encantada waterfall as well. La Paz Waterfall Gardens is a must see attraction when you are in the Poás Volcano area.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens in Costa Rica (Alajuela)
La Paz Waterfall Gardens & The Peace Lodge, located in Vara Blanca, Alajuela, Costa Rica, is an incredible place to visit (rainy season or not).
The waterfalls are impressive and well worth seeing if you are nearby in San José. The waterfalls are towards the end of this video, starting around the 6:20 marker.
In addition to the waterfalls, there is a great opportunity to see many varieties of wildlife. Most of the animals were rescued or confiscated by the government. In the video you will see toucans, jaguars, frogs, hummingbirds, and more.

Bienvenidos a un nuevo video esta semana sigo con la segunda parte de las cataratas de La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Un lugar que deben conocer, son cuatro las cataratas que nos encontramos en este lugar que como podrán ver en el video son de fácil acceso y eso es un buen punto para todos aquellos que quieren más facilidad ya que muchas cataratas como estas ubicadas en otros sitios son de difícil acceso por terrenos complicados. Aquí el acceso es muy fácil, hay muchas escaleras pero vale la pena conocer cada catarata.
La semana pasada estuve mostrándoles la primera parte en la cual caminamos por el refugio de animales y vimos muchas cosas bonitas.

Poas Volcano Lodge - Vara Blanca, Costa Rica
I was invited to stay two nights at the Poas Volcano Lodge in Vara Blanca, Costa Rica. Since I've been to Costa Rica 10 years ago, I couldn't wait to come back, it's been too long.
We arrived at the lodge and it was very cloudy and a bit misty, too wet to hike or get many shots outside. So we checked in, explored the lodge, and relaxed until dinner.
Dinner was incredible, the best meal of our trip! The food here is simply amazing, breakfast too. They have a dairy farm which supplies the milk, they also make their own jam and marmalade. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced, so delicious!
The lodge and guest rooms are also very nice, the beds are so comfortable and the linens are great. We didn't really want to get out of bed, but there's a lot of hiking trails to explore, and Autumn was wandering around and ran into a traffic jam of cattle on their way to get milked for the day. She loved walking with the cows and petting some of them.
The only thing we didn't like was that we were there for only two nights. This is a place we'll definitely come back to, such a comfortable and relaxing lodge, and the food itself is worth the trip back! Thanks a lot, we had the best time!
