In this video I show you around my 410 square foot 2 bedroom brick house in the Cotswolds, England. I share with you the ways we have made the most of every square inch to create a second bedroom, a craft room, an office space, room for 2 freezers and a dishwasher in our tiny kitchen, overhead wardrobes in the master bedroom, a bulkhead void wardrobe over the stairs, a vegetable garden, a flower garden and picnic area, a pantry, an airing cupboard, a second floor to ceiling wardrobe, a shower and 3/4 length bath, and guest sleeping for an additional 2 adults taking us to being able to sleep 6 adults within 410 square feet. If you have any questions or suggestions about space saving ideas in a very small house then please let me know in the comments section below or email me at lizziedeanmakes@gmail.com.

By 1500 Edinburgh probably had a population of 12,000. It rose to about 15,000 by 1550. It seems very small but towns were tiny in those days. By the standards of the time Edinburgh was a large town. As it grew a suburb was built around Canongate. Between 1513 and 1560 a wall was built south of Edinburgh to keep out the English.
However the English attacked in 1547 and they sacked Edinburgh castle. They returned in 1547. Edinburgh was also besieged in 1571 during a civil war. Edinburgh also suffered from outbreaks of the plague. There were severe attacks in 1585 and 1645. However each time Edinburgh recovered.
In the late 16th century an English writer described Edinburgh: 'From the Kings Palace in the east the city rises higher and higher to the west and consists mainly of one broad and very fair street. The rest of the side streets and alleys are poorly built and inhabited by very poor people. And its length from east to west is about a mile while the width of the city from north to south is narrow and cannot be half a mile'.
Huntly House was built c. 1570. Edinburgh university was founded in 1583. Canongate Tolbooth was erected in 1591. Lauriston Castle was built in 1593.
In the 17th century Edinburgh grew in size and prosperity. This was despite outbreaks of plague in 1604 and 1645. Meanwhile in 1621 thatched roofs were banned in Edinburgh as they were a fire hazard.
Gladstones land was built in 1620 by Thomas Gladstone. Lady Stairs House was built in 1622. In 1623 George Heriot, a merchant left money in his will to found the Heriot school. Moray House was built c. 1628-1630. Acheson House was built in 1633. Parliament House was built in 1632-39.
In 1633 Charles I was crowned in Edinburgh. However he alienated the people of both England and Scotland. In Scotland the last straw was when he tried to changed the peoples religion by introducing a new prayer book. A riot began in St Giles cathedral when somebody threw a stool at the Dean's head. The rioting spread to other churches in Edinburgh. After months of unrest a national covenant was drawn up demanding the king respect Scotland's religion. Prominent Scots signed it in Greyfriars Kirk. After that the king effectively lost control of Scotland.
In 1650, after the battle of Dunbar, the English occupied Edinburgh. However after their departure Edinburgh continued to grow in size and prosperity. By the end of the 17th century the population of Edinburgh had probably risen to about 50,000.
Meanwhile the Botanic Garden was founded in 1670 (it moved to its present site in 1823) and Holyrood House was rebuilt in 1672. In 1685 a statue of Charles II was erected in Edinburgh and Canongate Kirk was built in 1688.
Mary, Queen of Scots - Haunted Staircase - The Talbot Hotel
This video shows the allegedly haunted parts of Oundle's infamous Talbot Hotel, where I had the pleasure of staying from 1st-2nd February 2015. The stonework of the hotel is said to come from the ruins of nearby Fotheringhay castle, when the hotel was rebuilt in 1626. Mary, Queen of Scots was executed at the castle in 1587 and it was this that caused her son and grandson to undertake a thorough demolition of the castle.
The staircase at the Talbot hotel is thought to have come from Fotheringhay castle, along with the stonework. It’s said that Mary walked to her execution down those stairs and she left her mark by gripping on the staircase to keep her balance. Her ring, in the shape of a crown, apparently left an indentation in the shape of a crown on the staircase.
Mary’s ghost has apparently been seen on numerous occasions walking down the staircase. Furniture has also been moved around the hotel and the picture of Mary’s execution has been known to suddenly jump off the wall on which it hangs. A large amount of paranormal activity has also been felt in the room named after Mary, with one guest in particular feeling a clammy hand pushing them against the bed.

Inside Prince Charles and Camilla's London home, Clarence House #ClarenceHouse #Royals #RoyalFamily
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall keep Clarence House as their official London residence, as well as dividing their time between Highgrove House, Birkhall, and their Welsh home, Llwynywermod. The townhouse was formerly home to the Queen – then Princess Elizabeth – and husband Duke of Edinburgh, while the Queen Mother lived there from 1953 until her deth in 2002.
Prince Charles carried out extensive renovation work before he moved into Clarence House, but has kept many of the rooms just as they were when his grandmother lived there. The royal residence also provides office space for Charles' staff, while the principal rooms of the house are used for receptions and hosting official visitors to the UK. Take a look through the gallery to see more of Charles and Camilla's official London base…
Clarence House hallway
A hallway in the residence has red carpets topped with antique rugs, with a wooden staircase leading up to the first floor from the back of the room. A dazzling chandelier hangs from the ceiling at the centre of the hallway, while there are numerous pieces of historic artwork from the Royal Collection on display.
Clarence House morning room
The Duchess of Cornwall is seen here hosting Chris Evans in the Morning Room at Clarence House. As well as having historic artwork on display, the couple also have several personal photos on a table, including a wedding photo and old snap of Prince Charles with Prince Harry when he was younger.
Clarence House Morning Room
The Morning Room also has a portrait of the Queen Mother over the door, alongside a 17th-century clock and a duck egg blue and gold chair.
Clarence House morning room
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall often host official visitors in the Morning Room, which has a traditional fireplace and seating area, with lots of china plates and ornaments on display in a cabinet.
6-Clarence-House-garden-room
A corner of the Garden Room has a Leandro Bassano painting of Noah's Ark on the wall, and a bust of the Queen Mother sat on a French writing desk.
7-Clarence-House-sitting-room
The Duchess of Cornwall hosted Clare Balding at a reception in 2010 when she had a broken leg, with the pair sat side-by-side in a room with their wedding photo and a shot of a young Prince Harry on a gold table next to the window.
8-Clarence-House-Drawing-Room
Another room, where the couple hosted the Chinese President and First Lady in 2015, has a red and gold colour scheme, with a patterned sofa, huge artwork hanging on each wall, and a piano topped with personal photos.
9-Clarence-House-dining-room
This dining room was set up for guests at a Christmas lunch at Clarence House. The spacious and traditional room has yellow walls with gold accents, an ornate light fitting, and decorative vases standing in the corners.
10-Clarence-House-gardens
The Clarence House Gardens often play host to receptions and special events, and are filled with beautiful trees and plants, bringing a touch of greenery to central London

Ghost hunters claim the moment a pushchair is thrown down a staircase in one of Britain's most haunted houses could finally be footage of the 'Black Monk' caught on camera.
Ghost hunters claim to have caught on camera the moment a poltergeist chucked a pushchair down a staircase in one of Britain's most haunted houses.
Steve Archibald, 36, and his wife Carrie are the founders of Pitch Black Investigations and had persuaded a group of intrepid paranormal enthusiasts to spend the night at 30 East Drive in Pontefract, West Yorks.
The house was the site of one of Britain's most notorious alleged hauntings when the Pritchard family were subjected to years of torment by the so-called 'Black Monk of Pontefract'.
And Steve's startling footage shows a pushchair be thrown by an invisible force down the same set of stairs where 14-year-old Diane Pritchard was dragged by the hair by the supposed Black Monk.
Some of the team were so scared by what they witnessed they refused to spend the night in the house and instead fled to a nearby hotel.
