Bunsen Peak - Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming, USA)
2018-10-16. I wanted to hike up Washburn Peak (3122m, 10,243') but was disappointed to find out that the trail had been closed even though the road and area were still relatively snow-free. So I had to settle for Bunsen Peak. I'm glad I did as this peak is a great excursion and a good goal for early spring or fall and I would imagine that in the summer that the trail gets very busy.
The extension to Osprey Falls is well worth it and would definitely have fewer hikers along the way if solitude is your thing (like it is mine!). Bunsen is only one of the many amazing peaks in this beautiful national park but it is one of the easiest to access and the summit views make it a must-do adventure.

A quick look at the Wraith Falls Trail in Yellowstone National Park. It was an easy, but scenic hike. Recommended for all ages.

The Gallatin Gateway is a scenic drive from Bozeman Montana to the Yellowstone National Park entrance in Montana. I believe it is the most beautiful drive in the United States! Enjoy!!

Fort Caspar, Wyoming, United states
Fort Caspar, Wyoming, United States 2005, museum and historic site by City of Casper
Fort Caspar was a military post of the United States Army in present-day Wyoming, named after 2nd Lieutenant Caspar Collins, a U.S. Army officer who was killed in the 1865 Battle of the Platte Bridge Station against the Lakota and Cheyenne. Originally founded in 1859 along the banks of the North Platte River as a trading post and toll bridge on the Oregon Trail, the post was later taken over by the Army and named Platte Bridge Station to protect emigrants and the telegraph line against raids from Lakota and Cheyenne in the ongoing wars between those nations and the United States. The site of the fort, near the intersection of 13th Street and Wyoming Boulevard in Casper, Wyoming, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is now owned and operated by the City of Casper as the Fort Caspar Museum and Historic Site.

Record Your Journey with fleXcope : Grand Teton National Park (I)
Grand Teton National Park is a United States National Park located in northwestern Wyoming, U.S. The Park consists of approximately 310,000 acres and includes the major peaks of the 40-mile (64-km) long Teton Range, as well as most of the northern sections of the valley known as Jackson Hole. Grand Teton National Park is named for Grand Teton, which is shown in this video. At 13,775 feet (4,199 m), Grand Teton rises abruptly more than 7,000 feet (2,100 m) above Jackson Hole and is almost 850 feet (260 m) higher than Mount Owen, the second highest summit in the range.
Sage Creek campground - Pryor Mountains, Montana
We took Jack on his first camping trip and he did great!
I (Shane) had always wanted to check out the Pryor mountains, because it's such an interesting looking range from Carbon County. I was glad that we were able to take some time and get up into the high country.
It was really much more lush than I had expected it to be. A lot of that area is in the rain shadow of the Beartooth Mountains - the highest mountains in Montana, and so there is a lot of dry land out there. Well, Sage Creek campground did not disappoint!
While we were up there, we checked out this big ice cave called... Big Ice Cave, lol.
Thanks for checking out the video. Let us know if you have suggestions for areas around Montana that you would like to see us feature here on Adventures of Shane and Laura!

Nature getaway in black hills sd
The Blacks Hills of South Dakota are known mostly for Mount Rushmore, but there is so much more that you can do. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a week long camping trip, there is something for everyone. Nature hikes are a great way to spend an afternoon without spending money. They can also be fun for the whole family, but pick the difficulty of trails accordingly or plan to get your kiddos feet wet if hiking along a river.

The Best of the West Coast – USA Road Trip (DJI Spark shots)
In the fall of 2017 my girlfriend and me went to USA for a vacation. It wasn't the first time in US for me, so I was able to put together pretty good itinerary... at least in my opinion. We started in San Francisco, where I proposed Melinda (that was very important as I could have easily ruined the whole vacation).
We continued to our friend's house in Sacramento and after two days we headed to Yellowstone National Park. We continued to the south, stopped by Colorado National Monument, in Canyonlands and Monument Valley on the way. Then we headed to the west to city of Page, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Palm Springs and Los Angeles.

Boondocking and Off Roading in Montana | Full-time RV Family | Ep. 47
This week we headed up into the mountains north of Butte, Montana to go boondocking with some friends for the weekend. These friends also happen to have RZR Side by Side ATV's, so not only did we have a beautiful free place to stay for the weekend, we also got to fly around the nearby hills and valleys at incredible speeds! It was also our first time trying out our new Harbor Freight Predator 3500 generator and we ran into some issues with it not wanting to run our A/C, but luckily there was a river nearby that we could cool off in.
All in all, our first weekend of backcountry boondocking was a big success with a couple little hiccups. We will definitely start seeking out more beautiful, remote areas to camp for a couple nights (for free!) - we'll just wait until it's a little bit cooler before we do it again. The area definitely made for some gorgeous drone footage regardless of the heat though!
