Lac de Montriond Morzine, France and Geneva Lake, Switzerland 2017
Montriond is a small village that sits on the eastern side of the valley from Morzine.
Although it is separated from the main body of Morzine by the Dereches river it is as close to the lifts, shops and bars as some parts of Morzine and has better access to the Ardent bubble than most of Morzine. and Geneva Lake In Switzerland.

This is the wonderful route from the centre of Morzine in France's beautiful Portes du Soleil, through to Lac Montriond with sunshine and blue skies galore. A perfect excursion if you're heading to Morzine.

The big flakes of snow were coming down and accumulating rapidly. Gung-ho skiers and snowboarders were already lined up at the lifts for first tracks but we headed to the Lac du Montriond instead. The Morzine Activity Guide touted the Lac for walking, snowshoeing and cross country on their groomed trails.
Off the bus, we sheltered under snow-laden fir trees and were amazed to see walkers already out in what non-snow lovers would consider gruesome weather. The trails circle around a small lake, continue into the valley through the small Albertans hamlet and end at the bottom of the Ardent gondola. It's strange how this inclement day turned out to be one of the most memorable. And, talking to an ecstatic skier that night, he said the excellent ski runs had snow up to his knees. Wonderful, wonderful...

Balade au lac de Montriond
Jolie balade au lac de Montriond (Haute savoie) ,qui c'est poursuivie par une visite de la cascade d'Ardent, qui fera le sujet d'une autre vidéo et un détour au village des chèvres les Lindarets là aussi le sujet d'une autre vidéo où mon petit chien (bientôt 11 ans) découvre pour la première fois des chèvres une rencontre attendrissante...Bon visionnage et merci de votre passage sur ma chaîne.

After many wonderful skiing holidays together in the Portes du Soleil, Nick and Vee chose Morzine as the destination for their wedding. With the ambition to host a festival themed wedding they explored Morzine in summertime, and after a refreshing swim in crystal clear Lac Montriond, decided the spot was perfect for the ceremony. In the same village, at La Ferme du Lac Vert, they found more rustic charm than they could have dreamed of their vintage wedding party.
