How to fly to Corsica:
With Air Corsica from London Stansted to Ajaccio, Bastia and Calvi. All 3 cities have train stations. Air Corsica also flies to Figari
With British Airways from London Heathrow Terminal 5 to Bastia. BA also flies to Figari
Many other airlines offer seasonal flights from airports across Europe
Ajaccio, Bastia and Calvi are also connected to mainland Europe by ferry services and Corsica is a popular stop for cruises.
The rail network serving the island of Corsica is one of Europe’s most scenic railways,
Tickets can be bought:
- at the station on the day of travel or the day before
- on-board (no credit card/debit card payment on board)
Travellers can also stop at a station and take the next train. Do check timetables when you get at the station
If you only have time for a day trip, consider the central part of the railways network

Bonjour à tous , je viens de passer deux semaines en corses à Calvi ,
j'ai donc pu en profiter pour pouvoir spotter le train corse .
Vous trouverez donc sur cette vidéo les AMG 800 qui assurent les grandes ligne entre Calvi - Ajaccio , Calvi - Bastia , Bastia - Ajaccio , etc .
Vous y verrez le plus les x97500 qui eux assurent la liaison éstivale entre Calvi et l'île rousse .
Les AMG 800 comme les x97500 ont été construit en France à Bagnière les Bigorre dans le 65 .

La ligne reliant Bastia à Ajaccio constitue la principale voie de chemin de fer en Corse. Culminant jusqu'à 900m d'altitude, le train traverse durant 4 heures les somptueux paysages de l'île, entre forêts et vallées escarpés.

Calvi est une ville française, située dans le département de la Haute-Corse et la région de Corse. la ville de Calvi est le chef-lieu de la arrondissement. Ses habitants sont appelés les Calvais et les Calvaises.La commune s'étend sur 31 km² et compte 5380 habitants depuis le dernier recensement de la population datant de 2004.
Entourée par les communes de Lumio et Moncale, Calvi est située à 59 km au Sud-Ouest de Bastia la plus grande ville à proximité. La marine, quartier du port de Calvi, est un lieu très apprécié des visiteurs, qui en profitent pour marcher allègrement le long des quais, saluant au passage quelques pêcheurs du coin. Deuxième ville touristique de Corse, on comprend mieux en déambulant dans les ruelles colorées de la Basse-ville, pourquoi Calvi est si prisée. Commerçants, artisans, terrasses de restaurants et épiceries ouvrent leur porte directement sur le port, . Vous pourrez aussi remarquer la Tour de Sel, ancien poste de guet du XIIIe siècle où était entreposé le sel. Non loin de là, plus à l'ouest du Port, s'étend la plage principal de la ville, sur une longueur d'environ 5 km. -
