Here are the top things to do in Little Havana. Little Havana is a neighborhood of Miami, Florida, United States. Home to many Cuban exiles, as well as many immigrants from Central and South America, Little Havana is named after Havana, the capital and largest city in Cuba.
Before heading off to The Havana in Cuba, I took Audrey to Little Havana in Miami, Florida to get a taste of Cuban culture.

LITTLE HAVANA (MIAMI), FL
If you ever get to be in Miami AND would like to explore LATIN America (and I'm talking about USA here) feel free to visit Little Havana, La Pequeña Habana in Spanish, located just west of Downtown Miami.
Great ppl, always warm and friendly, lots of Cuban cuisine, delicious as well, a place where you can learn that you can easily have a different culture (more or less different), language maybe, maybe some different foods, music might be different (but very warm), dancing as well, but THAT does not make them less American, that's the beauty of America: THE BEST MELTING POT IN THE WORLD.
YES, a lot of politics within this very hot subject, everybody knows that most of non-Cuban Hispanics do not like Cubans, mostly b/c of this very rule:
But those that hate Cuban-Americans always forget (or rather try not to acknowledge) the political system in Cuba for the past 50+ years, a country with NO POLITICAL FREEDOMS OF ANY KIND, where the CASTRO COMMUNIST GANG has been killing or at least imprisoning everybody who disagrees with their extreme views (yes I know, Sean Penn, Michael Moore, Harry Belafonte and lots of other left-wing loons would strongly disagree with me), so that's in Cuba ONLY, no such lack of political freedoms anywhere else in Central or South America, Mexico, Haiti or Dominican Republic included, personally I am strongly AGAINST lifting the Embargo until the good ppl of Cuba start enjoying the very same FREEDOMS we in the West have been doing for so many decades AND, sadly, take them for granted now.
Most of the Cuban-Americans vote Republican.
Some of my favorite Cuban-American politicians: Ted Cruz (he's in fact Cuban-Canadian-American), Marco Rubio, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Mario Diaz-Balart, just to name a few only.

GOD BLESS AMERICA
Beginning of the video, some clips shot with my pocket camera while driving (slow driving speed of course), quality not so good, shaky left hand, paying attention to the road ahead, but rest of the video I think it's pretty... cool.

History Class tour of Little Havana, Miami, FL ipodnanoclassic
This came from a little field trip in Little Havana, Miami Fl. The tour guide was Dr. Paul George from my history class and my class mate Bibiana Gomez was there to hold the camera and talk to during the 1 hour field trip. The event that was film was called critical mass, and it means that 2-3 miles of road on SW8st (AKA Calle Ocho) was block off for bikes only. This happens every 3rd Thursday of the month. There was also kind of a small festivals that had an a singer and some gazebo's that sold Cuban items of memorabilia. We get 4 extra credit points if we attend and write a paragraph about our field trip. The location was on SW14 & SW8st at the legendary Domino Park.

Eating Cuban Food in Miami. Little Havana Food Tour ???? First time trying Cuban Food.
In this week’s vlog we adventure into the Little Havana neighbourhood of Miami to try some Cuban food! Miami has a very large Cuban community making it the perfect place to try Cuban food outside of Cuba.
We started off at a restaurant called El Cristo where we first had a platter filled with various Cuban foods including chicken and beef empanadas, plantains, ham croquettes and fried yuca. We also tried a traditional Cuban Sandwich.
After this we decided to head to a Cuban coffee shop where they recommended we have the delicious and indulgent coffee drink called Cafe Tres Leche.
After exploring the neighbourhood some more we headed to our last stop, a restaurant called El Exquisito to have a dish of Arroz Con Pollo (chicken and rice).

I take you on an official Cuban tour of Calle 8 (8th Street) in Little Havana, and then we head to watch the sunset in Miami.
Where we ate and what to order
1. Los Pinareños Frutería: fresh coconut water and batido de mamey (Mamey smoothie)
2. El Pub Restaurant: mariquitas, tostones, medianoche sandwich, cuban sandwich, and cuban sodas (Materva and Jupiña)
3. El Brazo Fuerte Bakery: Guava pastries, coconut pastries or pastelito de queso (cheese pastry).
Little Havana is full of culture, music, and flavor. Come discover it with me in a nutshell!

MIAMI ATTON BRICKELL HOTEL AND LITTLE HAVANA: REVIEW VIDEO
Forget Miami Beach, I found a fabulous up-and-coming neighbourhood which will cost you half the price and has a fantastic new hotel (Atton Brickell) with a rooftop terrace and view to beat all others. It was such a find that I had to share it with you. The neighbourhood's called Brickell and it's close to everything: beach, shopping and Little Havana. Hope you enjoy my review video.
