Skagit Valley, WA. Tullip Festival. Mount Vernon. 30 March 2019
Our trip to Skagit Valley tulip fields. End of March and beginning of April is too early for tulips but good time for daffodils. Lovely view on endless fields of flowers. After Skagit Valley we had a small tour by Mount Vernon.
Mount Vernon is the county seat of Skagit County, Washington, United States. The population was 31,743 at the 2010 census. It is one of two principal cities of and included in the Mount Vernon-Anacortes, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Downtown Mount Vernon is known for its annual Tulip Festival Street Fair, which is part of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. The climate of Skagit County is similar to that of Northern France, with millions of tulips grown in the Skagit Valley. Lost in the Groove in Mount Vernon WA
Chuckanut Drive - Time Lapse - Bellingham to Mount Vernon, Washington
June 5, 2016 - On the hottest day of the year (so far), I head south of the border and take a drive down the Chuckanut Drive.
Starting in the southern part of Bellingham, Washington known as Fairhaven, Chuckanut Drive (State Route 11) hugs the coast with great views of Bellingham Bay and the nearby San Juan Islands.
Halfway along the route, Chuckanut Drive leaves the cliffside behind and makes a bee-line through the Skagit Valley towards Burlington.
Shortly after that I head a bit further south to Mount Vernon, Washington, over the Skagit River bridge that was rebuilt after falling into the river about three years ago. If you want to see that video, check this out:

The train whistle rings and entered into history. 1869 is just the world's first mountain tourist train station. A hundred years ago there was still carrying the old look just put the tourists. Inside the carriages it was danchul. Brake deputy uncle was called to the chair being organized. A man with a shovel coal into the buffer, another technician'm driving the train. As I stated in the hat's' break-Man. Turn the handle huge come down the mountain. It allows to adjust the speed so that the train go down so fast. Captain of the train hammered? That's right. The captain of the coach's. When I looked up the locomotive that coal. Locomotive coming out of the furnace is still an open habitats were also sprayed water vapor. Museum eseona gichada to meet. I have a middle rail more teeth. Miranda steep climb to 30 degrees or more gyeongsagil. These days, the steam locomotive is a special day operation only once, and the rest moved into bio-diesel. Put yourself in the oldest mountain railways in the world to climb the Mount Washington Road. People were excited. Add to the scenery outside the car window, press the shutter spree stretching. Called the ever-changing weather. The weather changed abruptly ended horribly right. Dada Sharjah thirty minutes up to the top of the mountain misty fog limit values not much to see out the front. It reached the top of the mountain through clouds in Washington. The highest peak in New England. Cool scenery can not see the expected inconvenient, but made me happy joyful expression of the people.

Explore Washington Recreation: Patos Island, San Juan Islands
Welcome to the northwestern-most point in the lower 48 states! Patos Island is a wild and remote 200-acre island in the beautiful Salish Sea. The mountains of Canada and the spectacular Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges provide scenic backdrops to this special area.
Recreational activities include hiking, camping, boating, sea kayaking, watching wildlife, and viewing wildflowers along the beaches, wooded areas, and at overlooks. The BLM cooperatively manages the area with Washington State Parks.
Patos Island Lighthouse, built in 1893, stands on the western-most end of the island, providing light and reference to mariners.
Know Before You Go:
Patos Island is open YEAR ROUND.
Limited mooring buoys and campsites in Active Cove are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Patos Island is only accessible by watercraft.
Washington State Park fees apply.
Patos Island is very primitive and there is no fresh water available on site.
On Oct. 7, 2014, San Juan County became the first County in the U.S. designated as a voluntary “Leave No Trace” area. Please help and practice LNT.
Patos Island State Park is located 5 miles northwest of Orcas Island in San Juan County. It is accessible only by boat and there is no commercial ferry service to the park. The nearest launch sites are at Point Roberts Marina (13 miles north), Blaine Harbor (11 miles northeast), and Squallicum Harbor in Bellingham (24 miles east).
Keepers of the Patos Light is a nonprofit partner group that operates a small interpretive museum during the summer weekends from June through September, based on weather and available volunteers.

Although the focus of this book is the engravings depicting scenic sites of 19th century America, each is accompanied by a short description of the site and location. These vignettes give us rare glimpses of scenic locations as they appeared in 1840. All sites are in the eastern part of the United States, especially New England and New York. This is Volume One of a two-volume set. (Summary by Larry Wilson)

What to Do if You're Ever Followed By a Mountain Lion
Two hikers in California got the shock of their lives when they came face-to-face with a mountain lion. Brian McKinney and Sam Vonderheide were on the High Sierra Trail in Sequoia National Park on July 23 when they locked eyes with the beast as it stood stoic on the mountain. The hikers, who recorded the incident, contemplated what to do. One wanted to run away but the ferocious cat looked ready to pounce. At the end of the clip, they slowly back away from the beast.
