GR - Gospodarsko razstavišče Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre
GR the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre is the largest convention venue in Slovenia comprising 20 multifunctional halls that occupy a surface area of 13,139m2 square metres, which are complemented by 8,844 square metres of external exhibition space. The function rooms providing a high degree of versatility can be arranged to welcome any kind of meeting from 15 to 5,000 delegates. The largest hall can welcome 2,200 delegates theatre-style or 1,200 if banqueting set-up is arranged. The access to GR is easy, as it is located in Ljubljanas city centre, with several downtown hotels, located in its close proximity. The GR complex was established in 1954 and completely renovated between 2001 and 2008. All the halls and conference rooms are fitted with state-of-the-art technical equipment and the majority also feature daylight. GR is a member of the following international organisations: ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), ITTFA (International Tourism Trade Fairs Association), Slovenian Convention Bureau, OIV (Office International de la Vigne etdu Vin), etc.

ICCA AMP 2018: Exclusive reportage from the conference in Ljubljana
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia hosted an educational and marketing event ICCA Association Meetings Programme – AMP 2018. The prestigious event took place from 9 –11 July and created a dynamic platform for education, business opportunities and networking, underlined with genuine local experience and warm hospitality. In addition, 30 association executives came to Ljubljana on 8 July with the aim to learn and experience what Ljubljana has to offer for associations events.
All ICCA members of Slovenia joined forces in creating a programme that made the participants Feel Slovenia. The Local Organising Committee consisting of the Slovenian Convention Bureau, Slovenian Tourist Board, Visit Ljubljana, Union Hotels, Cankarjev dom, GR - Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, Kompas DMC, Bled Convention Bureau and Dekon Group, devotedly contributed to designing a dynamic but stress-free three-day programme to remember.

One day in Ljubljana
Half way between Vienna and Venice, in recent times, more and more media around the world have been recommending travellers to visit Ljubljana, the current European Green Capital. Ljubljana is not a large city, but it has a lot to offer to visitors: beautiful architecture (baroque, liberty and modern), awesome views and excellent food and wine!

The largest convention centre in Slovenia, CD is a world-class venue with a vast array of auditoria, halls and meeting rooms, making it suitable for a diverse range of events, from conferences, trade fairs, congresses and seminars to smaller corporate or private gatherings. CD is situated in the heart of Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital, only 21 km from the airport. Ljubljana Hidden Corners: #4 Navje Memorial Park (Speech: English; CC: Eng-Slovene-Croatian-Serbian)
Navje Memorial Park (Slovene: Spominski park Navje), the redesigned part of the former St. Christopher's Cemetery (pokopališče pri sv. Krištofu), is a memorial park in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is located in the Bežigrad district, just behind the Ljubljana railway station.
St. Christopher's Cemetery was located in the area of today's Exhibition and Convention Centre. Between the late 18th century and the early 20th century, it was the central town cemetery. In 1906, a new cemetery was established next to Holy Cross Church and most new burials gradually took place there. After 1926, burials no longer took place at St. Christopher's Cemetery, and it was destroyed in 1955 together with the two churches associated with it in order to create a fairground for the 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia.
In the 1930s, a small portion of the old cemetery, including the arcade porch that was built around 1865, was transformed in a pantheon of famous Slovenes. The memorial park was designed by the architects Jože Plečnik and Ivo Spinčič in collaboration with the gardener Anton Lah. Already in 1932, Plečnik had proposed building a monumental church on the same site, which would include a crypt with tombs of prominent Slovenes. The project, planned together with his student Edvard Ravnikar, was however rejected, and so Plečnik proposed the creation of Navje Memorial Park.
Between 1936 and 1940 several gravestones and tombstones of notable personalities were moved into the park, but because of the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia in April 1941 the project was never completed. Many of the gravestones planned to be moved into Navje Memorial Park, such as those of Prešeren, Trubar, Maister, and Rusjan, were not brought in, and many graves of unimportant individuals, planned to be moved to Žale, have remained in the park. Plečnik's plans to enlarge the park were never carried out. After World War II, the park was largely neglected and renovation took place only in the 1990s.

Pri tem smo se kar se da vživeli v sodobnega kupca – zakaj potrebuje salon in kaj od njega pričakuje. Še vedno je bolj zanimivo videti avtomobil v živo kot pa na fotografiji prek spleta. Se vanj usesti, ga doživeti v živo. Kot pa je v navadi na sejmih v naši organizaciji, ni dovolj, da se neka panoga samo predstavi. Pomemben je tudi spremljevalni program – izobraževalna predavanja in svetovanja za obiskovalce salona. Z avtorji oddaje Avtomobilnost smo ga pripravili v t.i. Tehnološkem paviljonu. Pričakujemo, da si bo največjo sejemsko prireditev s področja avtomobilizma v Sloveniji ogledalo od 80.000 do 100.000 obiskovalcev,« je dejal Iztok Bricl, direktor GR sejma.
