New York City 2019, walking the streets of Manhattan
The City of New York, often called New York City (NYC) or simply New York (NY), is the most populous city in the United States.[9] With an estimated 2017 population of 8,622,698 distributed over a land area of about 302.6 square miles (784 km2), New York City is also the most densely populated major city in the United States. Located at the southern tip of the state of New York, the city is the center of the New York metropolitan area, the largest metropolitan area in the world by urban landmass and one of the world's most populous megacities, with an estimated 20,320,876 people in its 2017 Metropolitan Statistical Area and 23,876,155 residents in its Combined Statistical Area. A global power city, New York City has been described as the cultural, financial, and media capital of the world, and exerts a significant impact upon commerce, entertainment, research, technology, education, politics, tourism, art, fashion, and sports. Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. It stretches from West 42nd to West 47th Streets. Brightly adorned with billboards and advertisements, Times Square is sometimes referred to as The Crossroads of the World, The Center of the Universe, the heart of The Great White Way, and the heart of the world. One of the world's busiest pedestrian areas, it is also the hub of the Broadway Theater District and a major center of the world's entertainment industry. Times Square is one of the world's most visited tourist attractions, drawing an estimated 50 million visitors annually. Approximately 330,000 people pass through Times Square daily, many of them tourists, while over 460,000 pedestrians walk through Times Square on its busiest days. Formerly known as Longacre Square, Times Square was renamed in 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the then newly erected Times Building, now One Times Square. It is the site of the annual New Year's Eve ball drop, began on December 31, 1907, which continues to attract over a million visitors to Times Square every year.

10 Hours of Walking in NYC as Kim Jong Un
10 Hours of Walking in NYC as Kim Jong Un. Make sure you SUBSCRIBE and join the QSquad ARMY!
As a follow up to my 10 hours of walking in NYC wearing a romper, I decided to see how New Yorkers would react to seeing Kim Jong Un walking around. We walked through 3 neighborhoods: Harlem, Wall Street, and Koreatown. New York definitely took notice. To be honest, I was quite nervous to see how New York would react to this Kim Jong-Un social experiment. I was surprised as to the positive reception he received. There was a lot of comedy, a little bit of catcalling and only a tiny bit of street harassment. In a strange way, it gives me hope that differences can be resolved between all the countries and that we can find a way to co-exist as well as find a way to help the people of North Korea.

My First Time in New York City
I went to New York City for the first time in August last year and I decided to vlog the whole trip so I could have it to look back on. I never finished editing it last year (sound familiar? lol), but here it is! This is more of a travel diary as opposed to a vlog, but I really like how it turned out :) We saw three Broadway musicals and did a bunch of touristy stuff, and it's definitely one of my favorite trips that I've been on. I hope you guys enjoy, and look out for two more New York vlogs coming this summer...!
I do not own any of these songs, all copyright goes to the owners of the songs.

Worth Square - New York City Monument To Mexican War General William Jenkins Worth
General William Jenkins Worth (1794-1849) served as its fourth Commandant of Cadets at West Point from 1820 to 1828. Near the end of his distinguished military career, which began in the War of 1812, Worth was transferred to General Winfield Scott’s command for the Mexican War (1846-1848). He led a division at the siege of Vera Cruz and the battles of Cerro Gordo, Contreras and Churubusco, and Molino del Rey. He also participated in the seizure of the San Cosme Gate during the American army’s final assault on Mexico City. He died of cholera in San Antonio the following year, and his body was returned to the state of his birth for burial.
The Monument is located across from Madison Square on Fifth Avenue at Broadway in Manhattan. It's also close to the famous Flatiron Building.

Statue of Liberty - New York City, New York
Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge:
Mahalo travel expert Asha K. tells you all you want to know about the Statue of Liberty in New York City.
History
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Statue of Liberty was a gift to the United States by the French government in 1876; it was completed in France in July of 1884 and arrived in New York Harbor in June of 1885 in 350 individual pieces to be reassembled on her pedestal.c The statue was in honor of America's 100th birthday and in recognition of the positive relationship forged between the two countries during the American Revolution.c The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886. It wasn't until 1924 that it was designated as a National Monument. On July 4, 1986 the Statue of Liberty was restored for her centennial celebration.c
A Famous Designer
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, most famous for building the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, built the steel framework for the Statue of Liberty, now one of the world's most recognizable icons.c It was sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi who was commissioned to design the statue, however.
Location and Admittance
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island, just outside of New York City. You can take a ferry from Battery Island in Lower Manhattan. Along with a ferry ticket, if you want to enter the museum and the statue's base need to purchase a complimentary museum pedestal ticket.c While there is no entree free for the monument, ferry tickets range in price from $5 for children 4-12 to $13 for adults 13 years of age and older. Seniors may purchase ferry tickets for $10.c
Visitation and Tickets
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to the thousands of people who visit the Statue of Liberty on a daily basis, reservations are required for visits. Reserve your tickets by calling 1-877-LADY-TIX or by visiting statuecruises.com. Do not be surprised to encounter waiting times in excess of 90 minutes while boarding the ferry or waiting for admittance to the statue. Make note than visits to the crown are limited to 240 visitors a day, so head out early to assure admittance.c
