✅Our second day exploring Lombok Senggigi we ate at the restaurants near our airbnb that were close to the beach. The view of Lombok is beautiful we also got a scooter/scoopy. Then drove around on scoopy and looked at all the art on the walls and the stunning views along the way. Lombok is very beautiful full of tall palm trees and stunning blue water everywhere.

Yo yo! Title says it all! We've moved on from NZ and we're spending a month in Lombok, Indonesia. First stop is Senggigi! Our plan for Lombok is to just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. SENGGIGI BEACH AND SENARU WATERFALL, LOMBOK, INDONESIA
This our 1 day trip to Senaru, Senaru Water fall particularly.
It was an amazing trip. Senaru Waterfall was so fresh, so clean, and so green. There are two waterfalls right here and took about 2 hours drive from Senggigi.
We were there by private transport, same guy that we hired from Lombok Airport actually. It cost IDR 500,000 (about RM163/USD38) including taxi and tour guide. You don't have to worry about security and the people. There are so friendly and trusted.
We leaves from Senggigi around 10am and spent the whole day in Senaru. You can take your lunch over there. We back to Senggigi around 5pm while enjoy stunning sunset along the seaside, and reach Hotel Aditya 7pm.
Amazing trip. Awesome Waterfalls. Indonesia luar biasa!

KUTA LOMBOK - Perfect location for walking around town and waking up to the sound of birds in the trees was so special.
*On a previous trip when I had more money, I stayed here... 100% worth the treat if you're up for it because it's got local character, awesome private beach and amazing buffet dinners*
SEKOTONG - best area to stay to visit the secret southern Gili islands. This place had a private beach and easy to get private boat tours to the islands.
MATARAM - a super cheap room in the heart of the city so it's easy to get GoJek and they have parking for cars and bikes. It's surprisingly quiet inside and the staff are very nice and helpful.

How is Senggigi Beach in Lombok?
Is Senggigi Beach in Lombok a perfect spot worth to travel to?
Rent a scooter and drove all the way to Senggigi beach and we were surprised when we arrived. Besides two bigger hotels like the Sheraton and the Kila resort, the beach is not overcrowded because of mass tourism.

Lombok Indonesia Travel Guide During Low Season (Mataram, Rinjani, Selong Belanak and Tanjung Aan)
Lombok is awesome! They say it is the new Bali. I am not really sure what to think about it, but what I can tell you: visit Lombok for sure! The food is awesome, the people are super open and friendly, the beaches are beautiful and the surf is the sh*t. So how to travel Lombok and what to do on Lombok? I will give you some answers in this video about Lombok/Indonesia!
Accommodation:
Ibludan Hotel (one of the greatest places we ever stayed at):
- between Mataram and Senggigi Beach!
- also, Kuta is supposed to be awesome! Check out Kuta and stay here for a while. It is a town of surfers and lost Australians.
What to see on Lombok?
- Hike on the Gunung Rinjani: check the time schedules as hikes are not allowed between November and March
- Kuta: Bali many years ago
- Beaches: Selong Belanak and Tanjung Aan
- Eastern Lombok: pink beach and magic island
- South-West: more Gili islands
-Visit Mataram (the capital of Lombok)
- Ogoh-Ogoh festival: an awesome experience where they build huge demons and burn them during the night
How to get around?
- when you fly to Lombok, take the DAMRI buses from the airport to the place you want to go. The buses are cheap and easy to take.
- to get around on Lombok you can take the Bluebird taxis (best option), Bemo (public buses) or private drivers.
- other apps to get around (like UBER): Grab and GoCar

Fastboat From Bali To Lombok // Including Our Lombok Villa Tour
Traveling by fastboat from Bali to Lombok is a great way to arrive at the island of Lombok, Indonesia. We left Ubud, Bali and had a great experience taking a 1 1/2 hour fastboat to our next destination. It was a bit wavy so Jill and the kids took some motion sickness medicine and that did the trick. Once we arrive in Lombok, we had already pre-arranged a driver to pick us up and he was on the docks ready to help with our luggage.
The 30 minute drive to Senggigi was eye-opening and beautiful. Once we arrived at our Lombok Villa we were excited to give you a Villa Tour of where our traveling family will be staying for the next month. Lombok, Indonesia brought us a welcoming calm with wider roads, less traffic, cleaner air, and slower pace of life compared to Bali. We felt like it was the perfect place for us to settle in for a bit.

Lombok - Day 1 - Exploring the Tide Pools of Senggigi
Taking it easy on our first whole day in Senggigi, on the Indonesian island of Lombok. This day the kids were not really into exploring the surroundings and pretty much wanted to stay in our hotel room, the Kebun Rohani Cottages, until we happened to be lucky enough to time in a low tide at the Senggigi beach, which turned on the kids exploration mode, and turned out to be an event of great amusement for the kids.
My wife also found an excellent satay place just at the beach of Senggigi, and for dinner we ended up at Café Tenda Cak Poer, which is a typical Indonesian warung style restaurant, that served excellent local indonesian food.
