ROADTRIPPING USA | week 2| Nevada, Arizona, Utah
Here is another week of our adventures while roadtripping around the U.S.A. If you haven't seen the previous video click on the link and it will take you there
Anyways.. the states we visited so far are California (previous video), Arizona, Nevada and Utah. We first drove down to Las Vegas from L.A, which took quite much longer than we had expected so the arrival time was late. We spend a whole evening in Las Vegas until 2am when we decided to go back to our camping ground. The next day we started our drive down down to the Grand Canyon! A place I have always wanted to visit. On the way we also stopped to see the hoover dam (which I realize that I pronounce wrong in the video). I thought it was superfunny what a big deal they make out of it. There are toilets, a gift shop, monouments and a whole museum dedicated to the dam.
Now to the Grand Canyon.. It is crazy how much more different it is than I had imagined. I thought you have to take a hike there and that the canyon is more like a canyon (who big walls and water in between). The canyon is more open space and it is layers on layers (huuuuge). You don't have to hike there, although you can hike through the canyon and down to the river, but to just see what we saw you only need to take a shuttle bus. The shuttle buses go all around the park and take you to different locations if you can't walk. We prefered to walking the distances and take the bus down to sunset point in the end of the day. You see more animals if you walk and have a less crowded view, although since it is so large the view points are not that crowded. I walked close to some edges, but with some you have to be very careful since the rock is very brittle. The walking path is also paved all around so wheelchair friendly for those of you who need it (Y).
After the Grand Canyon we spend a day in Canyonlands- needles. It was nice with beautiful scenary, but I would rather spend more time in Arches and Moab town then seeing canyonlands. So If you are on a short schedule this is a part you could easily skip. Then after canyonlands we hit the road again and went to arches national park. The park is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to see. You can do both long and short hikes and spend as little as just some hours up to days there. We started with driving down the whole scenic route and then do the different arches that are easily acceseble from the street there. The visitor center doesn't open until 9am (until 4pm), so if you need a map I suggest you get it the day before. It is better to start the day early in summer months since it gets so hot after 10/11am. We spend two days in arches and although I wish we would've gone there for sunset, on the next day we started with going to delicate arch. Probably the most famous and beautiful one. You have to go on a little 3,2km long hike to get there and the way is pretty easy. If you go there for sunset the arch turns orange, purple and all kinds of colours, giving you a beautiful light show.
Now in the next video we will be going more around Utah to see Monument Valley, capitol reef park and more... So if you want to see that stay tuned ;)
Other than that thank you for watching and if you like what you see there is that red SUBSCRIBE buttom that makes me happy when people push it. So you know.. you could do it too, why not kinda?
CAMPGROUNDS
Las Vegas- KOA campground. Supernice, they have a pool to cool of in, a little shop, it is not too far from town (not walking distance tho), good wifi, all included for a VAN and super cheap for what it offers. 28$/night (4 people and a camperVAN) this price is if you have a 10% discount witch we get by renting our van from Cruise America.
Grand Canyon- if you intend to stay at a campingground make sure to book it in advance. We go more YOLO and didn't know when we are where so we slept wild. There are plenty od spots just outside the park, one of them even marked as a wild camp. It is inbetween trees, for free and all you need. (I prefer wild camps to be honest)
Arches National park- KOA Moab.
To be honest I don't remember it much so it can't have been anything special. I think it had a pool, okay wifi and it wasn't too cheap. around 40$/night with our 10% off coupon.
Have an AWESOME weeek people, see ya! :D
NOTICE
The engcon is just a joke, not an actual commercial. My dad works there sometimes and has these sunnies I always laugh at. I did not get paid for it whatsoever.
The informative video is filmed in the arches national park information center. I asked a ranger if I could film and publish it in my video and he said it was fine. Please don't get me in any trouble here.

BELMONT MILL, NEVADA GHOST TOWN (VISIT 2) WURTH-IT TRAVEL ADVENTURES
This is my second visit to Belmont Mill ghost town. Don't mistake this for the other ghost town by the name of just Belmont. It's probably in one of the most remote parts of Nevada. A fairly smooth off road ride (Off highway 50 between Eureka and Ely, Nevada, until about the last two miles on the off the beaten path. It get's a bit rough at the end. Plan to walk everywhere once to the mill as it will require serious ATVs to access anywhere else in the area. I drove my 2014 Chevy Cruze back here my first time IN November 2014 (BRAND NEW CAR) with much regret. I feared I would not make it back out with my car but managed to stealthily make my way in with it. There were never a lot of buildings here to begin with, but what is left has fallen to ruins. People mostly lived in tents here back in the mining days. There is a group of people who make great efforts to keep the mill standing as far as replacing decaying wood in the structure, adding support, cables and whatever else it may take. If you decide to go back here, the ghost town and the land is owned by the United States Government. Unfortunately there are idiots that come back here and do destroy and vandalize this piece of American history. If humans never came back here this would be an immaculate place to visit. Enjoy the video! I am planning a 3rd visit in the future with an ATV to give you more views and insight on the area. Thanks for watching!

part#3
Austin is the capital of the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of Travis County, with portions extending into Hays and Williamson counties. It is the 11th-most populous city in the United States and the 4th-most populous city in Texas. It is the fastest growing large city in the United States, the second most populous state capital after Phoenix, Arizona, and the southernmost state capital in the contiguous 48 states. Located in Central Texas within the greater Texas Hill Country, the city is home to numerous lakes, rivers, and waterways, including Lady Bird Lake, Barton Springs, McKinney Falls, the Colorado River, Lake Travis, and Lake Walter E. Long.
In the 1830s, pioneers began to settle the area in central Austin along the Colorado River. In 1839, the site was chosen to replace Houston as the capital of the Republic of Texas and was incorporated under the name Waterloo. Shortly afterward, the name was changed to Austin in honor of Stephen F. Austin, the Father of Texas and the republic's first secretary of state. The city grew throughout the 19th century and became a center for government and education with the construction of the Texas State Capitol and the University of Texas at Austin.
A number of Fortune 500 companies have headquarters or regional offices in Austin, including Amazon.com, Apple Inc., Cisco, eBay, General Motors, Google, IBM, Intel, Oracle Corporation, Paypal, Texas Instruments, 3M, and Whole Foods Market.
Great Neighborhoods in Austin:
Whether you're looking to buy or rent a home, these neighborhoods in central, north and south Austin are the cream of the crop.
1. Tarrytown
With stunning views of Lake Austin, Tarrytown is Austin’s prestige address. Homes are ornate, well-maintained and expensive. Centrally located for easy access to nearby downtown, this is one of Austin’s most exclusive neighborhoods. Park your car in a Tarrytown garage, and you’ll rub shoulders with Hollywood celebrities, CEOs and city movers and shakers who call this neighborhood home.
2. Great Hills
Head a little further northwest to Great Hills, a neighborhood of contemporary two-story homes for families who like panoramic views of creeks, trees and fairways; winding roads; and cul-de-sac living. Shop at the acclaimed Arboretum and enjoy an easy commute to high-tech employers such as Texas Instruments, Motorola and Motive.
3.SOUTH
Circle C
A large, master-planned community in the hills of southwest Austin, Circle C offers a pleasant refuge from city bustle without depriving residents of urban conveniences. Scenic views and moderately priced homes appeal to families with children and to retirees who are drawn to the wealth of amenities, including tennis, golf, a world-class swim facility, the Veloway (Austin's bicycle track) and nature activities at adjacent Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
4.Westlake Hills
Affluent parents seeking an excellent education for their children gravitate to Westlake Hills and the Eanes School District, ranked among the best in Texas. Only six miles from downtown Austin, this conservative neighborhood boasts many homes with spectacular views of hills and canyons, and clean, safe streets. The community is home to Barton Creek Greenbelt, which has hiking and biking trails from Town Lake and Shoal Creek. Homeowners range from science and technology professionals to upwardly mobile families.
5. Mueller
Located just three miles from downtown Austin and two miles from The University of Texas at Austin, Mueller is perfectly positioned as an energetic new hub for central Austin.

The Loneliest Road in America: U.S. Route 50 in Nevada
U.S. Route 50 stretches over 3,000 miles from Ocean City, Maryland in the east to Sacramento, California in the West. Originally part of the U.S. Highway system created in 1926, it was a major transportation route until the creation of the Interstate Highway system in 1956. In 1986, Life Magazine nicknamed the Nevada portion of Route 50 “The Loneliest Road in America,” noting that it is “America minus tourist traps” with only three small towns in 400 miles of empty desert.
I wanted to experience “The Loneliest Road in America” for myself, so I drove west to east from Carson City to the small town of Baker near the Nevada-Utah border. While it is true that the route is pretty desolate, its winding mountain passes and long, open stretches of desert valleys tell the story of a time in American history dominated by Manifest Destiny, Westward Expansion and a Gold Rush. U.S. Route 50 parallels the iconic Pony Express route and you can visit the remains of a few outpost stations to this day. Just off Route 50 in the east, in between the cities of Ely and Baker, lies the beautiful Great Basin National Park – home to the mesmerizing Lehman Caves.
