Mammoth Cave National Park in Cave City, Kentucky - A Video Tour
In a recent trip to the state of Kentucky, my friend Jonathan and I decided to explore the Mammoth Cave which can be found in Cave City, Kentucky. Mammoth cave is part of the National Park Service of the US Department of the Interior. From the park brochure, it mentioned that that Mammoth Cave is about 85 miles from both Louisville, KY, and Nashville, TN. The park is in the Central Time Zone. Airports and car rentals are in Nashville, Louisville, and Bowling Green. #LifeWellTravelled #MammothCave #Kentucky

Quick view around from the bottom of the Cedar Sink hike in Mammoth Cave National Park and then a view from the entrance of Dixon Cave close by.
The entrance to Dixon Cave is gated so the public doesn't become lost inside of it, but also because the endangered Indiana Bat resides within.

Melungeon
Melungeon is a term traditionally applied to one of numerous tri-racial isolate groups of the Southeastern United States. Historically, Melungeons were associated with the Cumberland Gap area of central Appalachia, which includes portions of East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and eastern Kentucky. Tri-racial describes populations thought to be of mixed European, African and Native American ancestry. Although there is no consensus on how many such groups exist, estimates range as high as 200. Melungeons were often referred to by other settlers as of Portuguese or Native American origin.
According to the Tennessee Encyclopedia of History and Culture, in his 1950 dissertation, cultural geographer Edward Price proposed that Melungeons were families descended from free people of color and mixed-race unions between people of African ancestry and Native Americans in colonial Virginia.

Hundreds of Buzzards Over Bowling Green
This Video was taken at around 4 pm on a very cloudy overcast day, Nov. 30, 2010. Of what appeared to be a swarm of hundreds of Buzzards I had noticed circling a sink hole behind a trailer park near Western Ky. University, Just off of old Morgantown Rd. behind the Western Hills Hotel.
They were so many in number. I couldn't help but think there must be something dead they are feeding on there.
A week later their numbers had began to dwindle, yet, they still circled. I try to get more video of it but unfortunately I was too far away for them to be visible with my dinky camera.
This was the first time I had used this camera and was not sure how long a video it would shoot or even if it recorded sound...???
As I was saying when my battery died.
After climbing out under all these buzzards to try to capture it on film. The thought occurred to me they could probably rip me to shreds before I could make it back to my car. If they decided they wanted to.
This made me fear for people living in the trailer park there.
I felt as if it was a sign of dead bodies.
Why I shot this vid.
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PISSED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I TRIED TO TELL POLICE THAT BODY WAS THERE AND THEY WOULD NOT LISTEN. I EVEN GOT A VIDEO TAPE I MADE WHILE POLICE PULLED UP AND ASKED ME WHAT I WAS TAPING......... I THEN TRIED TO GET POLICE TO GO INTO THE WOODS WITH ME TO FIND THAT BODY. THEY TRIED TO TELL ME THAT WAS WHERE THE BUZZARDS ROOST EVERY YEAR! BFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
