Bodycam Shows Louisville Police Officer Firing at Fleeing Driver (WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT)
** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) **
Louisville police today released footage from officers' body cameras that shows the June 7 shooting that injured Nicholas Moses, along with what led up to it, and the aftermath. Though Lamb already has been cleared of criminal wrongdoing by the Boulder County district attorney, Louisville police are still conducting their own internal investigation to determine whether the responding officers followed departmental protocol. Moses, 25, was sitting in the driver's seat of a pickup truck when Lamb and Officer Ben Himes responded to a call of suspicious people and possible drug activity at the Village Square Shopping Center in the 500 block of South Boulder Road. On Himes's body camera, Moses can be seen initially getting out of the truck and following the officers' commands before running back to the vehicle as Lamb follows him and reaches into the driver window. Moses's father, John, and a dog can be seen in the passenger seat. Himes then deploys his stun gun on Moses, who backs up the truck and continues to try to get it in gear. On both body camera reels, Lamb can be heard saying, Get out of the car right now! repeatedly, followed by I will (expletive) shoot you. Lamb can be seen alternating between a handgun and what appears to be his stun gun in the other hand. The footage then shows Moses backing up, before going forward again, and driving past Lamb — who fires seven shots into the driver's side of the truck as it goes past him, causing Moses to crash the vehicle a few yards away.
Moses, who was hit twice in the arm, is helped out of the driver's side door by Lamb, who applies a tourniquet to Moses's arm while John Moses gets out from the passenger side and is handcuffed by Himes. The dog was killed in the shooting. In the video, Moses can be heard asking Am I going to die? Lamb tells him he is not going to die as he applies the tourniquet, and Moses responds, I'm sorry. I just didn't want to go to jail. Both men had outstanding warrants out for their arrest at the time of the shooting. Moses also can be heard telling Himes, who was placing his father in custody, that, It wasn't his idea, it was mine, and, Dad, I'm sorry. After Moses apologizes again, Lamb said, That was a stupid idea. You rammed my patrol car and I thought you were going to run us over. That's why I shot you. Yet at no point in the video does it appear either officer was ever in front of the truck, and witnesses also said they never saw the truck drive in the direction of either Lamb or Himes. District Attorney Michael Dougherty wrote in his assessment of the shooting that state law allows the use of physical force to effect an arrest or to prevent the escape from custody of an arrested person and to defend himself or a third person from what he reasonably believes to be the use or imminent use of physical force while effecting or attempting to effect such an arrest or while preventing or attempting to prevent such an escape.
But the Louisville Police Department's use-of-force guidelines state that officers should move out of the path of an approaching vehicle instead of discharging their firearm at the vehicle or any of its occupants. An officer should only discharge a firearm at a moving vehicle or its occupants when the officer reasonably believes there are no other reasonable means available to avert the threat of the vehicle, or if deadly force other than the vehicle is directed at the officer or others. Lamb also told investigators he saw Moses throughout the incident reaching around in the truck, and was worried he was trying to find a weapon. Louisville police would not comment on the status of their internal investigation. Both Lamb and Himes were placed on administrative leave during the investigation but have since been restored to limited duty. Moses is facing charges of felony menacing, criminal mischief, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, driving under revocation and drug possession. Moses's father also faces two drug-possession charges. Heroin was found in the vehicle, according to police. Both men are in custody at the Jefferson County Detention Center.

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is a collegiate athletic conference in the United States in which its fifteen member universities compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA's) Division I, with its football teams competing in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), the highest levels for athletic competition in US-based collegiate sports. The ACC sponsors competition in twenty-five sports with many of its member institutions' athletic programs held in high regard nationally. ACC teams and athletes have claimed dozens of national championships in multiple sports throughout the conference's history. Generally, the ACC's top athletes and teams in any particular sport in a given year are considered to be among the top collegiate competitors in the nation. The ACC is considered to be one of the six collegiate power conferences, all of which enjoy extensive media coverage and automatic qualifying for their football champion into the Bowl Championship Series (BCS). With the advent of the College Football Playoff in 2014, the ACC will be one of five conferences with a contractual tie-in to an access bowl, the successors to the BCS.
Founded in 1953 in Greensboro, North Carolina, by seven universities located in the South Atlantic States, the conference added additional members in late 1953, 1979, 1991, 2004, and 2013. The 2004 and 2013 additions extended the conference's footprint into the Northeast and Midwest. The most recent expansion in 2013 saw the additions of the University of Notre Dame, the University of Pittsburgh, and Syracuse University. In 2012, the University of Maryland's Board of Regents voted to withdraw from the ACC to join the Big Ten Conference. On November 28, 2012, the ACC's Council of Presidents voted unanimously to invite the University of Louisville as a full member, replacing Maryland.

Louisville City FC: Butchertown Stadium Groundbreaking Ceremony
Gov. Bevin attends groundbreaking ceremony for Butchertown Stadium.
Louisville Loop bike path, Farnsley-Moreman to Lees Ln.
These were two separate rides on the Louisville Loop bike path in SW Louisville, KY, totaling approximately 15 miles round trip. Timeline: 0:00-4:00 is from the LG&E generating station on Cane Run Rd. to Lees Lane. This section of the path is the most scenic, in my opinion, but it's not flat or an easy ride for the physically challenged. Expect some effort and a few hills as the path splits into two sections crossing Mill Creek bridge and traveling through a woods to the river overlook. The off road path currently ends at Lees Ln./Riverside Gardens. A sidewalk picks up at the Cane Run/Lees Ln intersection, but unlike some cities, riding on the sidewalk in Louisville is illegal. Since the off road section runs near Rubbertown's chemical plants and directly through the EPA toxic waste Superfund site, expect an occasional warning alarm. It was sounding the day I was here, but everybody was ignoring it. Keep this in mind if you might need to escape in a hurry. Many flora and fauna can be seen here, as well as an interesting junk yard. Timeline: 4:00-6:44 is from Farnsley-Morman Landing Park a few miles South to the Greenwood Boat Ramp at Riverview Park. This section is about 9 miles roundtrip, flat and entirely atop the floodwall, with the exception of a small break in the floodwall at the garbage truck depot, making it an easy ride, but without much shade. It has a direct access path to Mike Linnig's Restaurant and a couple of off path walking trails to the Ohio River. It is also the site of a future planned memorial park as an Indian burial ground was found near where the old Bethany Church was placed. My suggestion, take a buddy for personal safety. Although it is claimed security guards sometimes patrol the floodwall in this area, I have never seen them. Restrooms are limited in this area, but seasonal facilities are available at Riverview Park near the Greenwood boat ramp.
Although it is not shown here, a new section of path atop the floodwall opened recently that runs South from Farnsley-Moreman to the LG&E generating station at Valley Village. There is a nice parking lot and trail head located on Lower River Rd. with informational signs about the history and geography of the area. It also passes a pay fishing lake. This section of path is flat like the Greenwood section, which should make it an easy but sunny ride. The Greenwood to LG&E section is also not shown, trail head at Riverview Park, it rides North at surface level alongside Cane Run Rd and passes through the Riverport and by the cemetery.
The Louisville Loop is a planned 100 mile circular off road bike path which is in ongoing construction as funds are available. It is planned to encircle the entire county, but currently does not offer many sections that would enable access to city services and businesses, to use as an alternate transportation route for anything but recreation. It might be possible for local residents and employees of the Riverport Industrial Park to reach their jobs from the SW sections of the path, but they would have to cross an unsafe Cane Run Rd. which has no sidewalks or shoulders to get to them.

Radon is a harmful, radioactive gas that is found in homes and businesses in the United States. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sites it as a leading cause of lung cancer. The gas occurs naturally in the ground and can seep into buildings. Louisville Colorado Radon Mitigation specializes in testing methods that identify its presence and in effective removal. Radon has no color and no odor, making it difficult to identify without the assistance of Louisville, Colorado Radon Mitigation. The EPA states that radon is in the rock and soil that underlies all areas of the United States. As it escapes from the ground, it can seep into homes or buildings that are above an affected area.
It is thought that radon results from the breakdown of uranium into radium. Professional Louisville Colorado Radon Mitigation can test for the presence of the gas. Radon is everywhere and home or business owners need Louisville CO Radon Mitigation to determine the level of concentration. In buildings where the levels are too high, professional Louisville Colorado Radon Mitigation can reduce them to acceptable levels. Air pressure in a building is lower than pressure in the ground, creating a vacuum-like suction that brings the gas inside through defects in foundations that Louisville Colorado Radon Mitigation fix. The association between radon and lung cancer makes it important for owners of buildings to rely on Louisville, Colorado Radon Mitigation for safe air quality.
The EPA indicates that radon can enter a home through a water supply, but Louisville Colorado Radon Mitigation know that the soil method is the more common form of entry. Techniques for reducing or eliminating radon often involve the placement of one or more suction points below the level of the foundation of a building. Additional methods that provide a way for gases to escape are used by Louisville Colorado Radon Mitigation.
A pipe that extends above the roof of a building allows gases to bypass the interior living space. Louisville Colorado Radon Mitigation performs extensive research to develop the most effective techniques that provide services that are helpful to home and business owners. Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000T, Full Alert: Louisville, KY (Jefferson Co. Tornado Siren Test, HD)
Copyright 2015, Brandon Mendel (Please use with permission).
Originally Recorded 10/13/2015
As some of you may know, Louisville is famous for many things. But to us siren enthusiasts, one of those things includes their numerous Thunderbolt sirens that are still up and running. Even though the city is not too far away from where I live, I often have trouble making it to their tests since they test on an kinda awkward day for me, the second Tuesday of the month. So, since I was on fall break, I decided to head out to one of their two 4/5 port Thunderbolts since I haven't heard one before. This one is located at the LG&E Substation, and is pretty famous as it's been recorded a few times before from fellow siren enthusiasts. To me, it wasn't the loudest I've recorded, but that buzzy, 4/5 port, Model 2Tish sound definitely made this recording sound pretty awesome. Despite the lack of an extra SD card for my other camera, the recording still came out pretty awesome with tones included.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!
