The Nightmare World of Gang Stalking
More than 10,000 people worldwide claim they're the victims of a vast organized surveillance effort designed to ruin their lives, a phenomenon known as gang stalking. Mental health experts see gang stalking as a symptom of paranoia, but the self-identified victims who insist what they're experiencing is real have come together online and in support groups to share their stories.
VICE met up with a handful of Americans who claim their lives have been derailed by gang stalking to understand what serious consequences the phenomenon presents. Then we hear from Dr. Josh Bazell, one of many physicians who believes the victims of gang stalking are experiencing dangerous delusions that could be treated by mental health professionals.

Michigan inundations, ansing /ˈlænsɪŋ/ is the capital of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is mostly in Ingham County, although portions of the city extend west into Eaton County and north into Clinton County. The 2010 Census placed the city's population at 114,297,[7] making it the fifth largest city in Michigan. The population of its Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) was 464,036, while the even larger Combined Statistical Area (CSA) population, which includes Shiawassee County, was 534,684. It was named the new state capital of Michigan in 1847, ten years after Michigan became a state.
The Lansing Metropolitan Area, colloquially referred to as Mid-Michigan, is an important center for educational, cultural, governmental, commercial, and industrial functions. The area is home to two medical schools, one veterinary school, two nursing schools, two law schools—including Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and Michigan State University College of Law, a Big Ten Conference university - (Michigan State University), the Michigan State Capitol, the state Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, a federal court, the Library of Michigan and Historical Center, and headquarters of four national insurance companies.
Lansing is the only U.S. state capital (among the 47 located in counties) that is not also a county seat. The seat of government of Ingham County is Mason,[8] but the county maintains some offices in LansingFarmers' markets[edit]
Farmers' market in Lansing
Lansing has several farmers' markets throughout the city in the summer months. These markets include the Allen Street Farmer's Market[95] on the city's eastside, the Westside Farmers' Market, the Old Town Farmer's Market, the South Lansing Farmer's Market,[96] and the year-round historic Lansing City Market[48] located near downtown. The Lansing City Market has built a brand new $1.6 million facility on the riverfront in downtown Lansing where it will continue its year round operations providing specialty items in addition to regular groceries from over 30 vendors.
Libraries[edit]
The Library of Michigan and Historical Center is a highly regarded state library and research center. The library is one of the top five genealogical research facilities in the United States. The Capital Area District Library has 13 branches within Ingham County, some of these include: The Main library downtown, the Foster Library on the east side, and the South Lansing Library on the south side.

The Michigan Women's Hall of Fame is a museum dedicated to the historical accomplishments and achievements of Michigan women. The house is located directly south of downtown in the 1903-built Cooley-Haze House. The museum is surrounded by Cooley Gardens.[99]
The R. E. Olds Transportation Museum is dedicated to the education of Lansing's role in the development of transportation, particularly the automobile.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
History
Sign from 1969 promoting a holiday to honor the anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.
The idea of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a holiday was promoted by labor unions in contract negotiations.[2] After King's death, United States Representative John Conyers (a Democrat from Michigan) and United States Senator Edward Brooke (a Republican from Massachusetts) introduced a bill in Congress to make King's birthday a national holiday. The bill first came to a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1979. However, it fell five votes short of the number needed for passage.[3] Two of the main arguments mentioned by opponents were that a paid holiday for federal employees would be too expensive, and that a holiday to honor a private citizen would be contrary to longstanding tradition (King had never held public office).[3] Only two other people have national holidays in the United States honoring them: George Washington and Christopher Columbus.
Soon after, the King Center turned to support from the corporate community and the general public. The success of this strategy was cemented when musician Stevie Wonder released the single Happy Birthday to popularize the campaign in 1980 and hosted the Rally for Peace Press Conference in 1981.

Dr. David Bearman, M.D. - AMA says Marijuana is Safe! /A LLN301
Dr. Bearman graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin in 1963 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. He graduated in 1967 from the University of Washington School of Medicine. During his internship year at the US Public Health Hospital in Seattle he helped start the third Free Clinic in the country. This experience includes prominent in the community clinic movement, being the Co-director of the Haight-Ashbury Drug Treatment Program, being a member of Governor Reagans Inter Agency Task Force on Drug Abuse, a member of the California State Community Clinic Advisory Board, and a member of both the Santa Barbara County and San Diego County Drug Abuse Technical Advisor Committees. He founded the Isla Vista Medical Clinic in 1970. He has been Medical Director of Santa Barbra County Methadone Maintenance Clinic and Ventura County Opiate Detox Program, taught courses on substance use and abuse at UCSF, UCSB, and SDSU, been a consultant to Hoffman LaRoche, NIDA and the National PTA, directed several conferences related to drug abuse treatment and prevention, delivered numerous professional talks, consulted widely, and been an expert witness in over 450 civil, criminal, and family court cases. Currently he is a Medical Director of Zona Seca, and practices pain management and cannabinoid medicine & the recipient of numerous awards.
Featuring Tod H. Mikuriya, M.D. Psychiatrist & Author / Tod Hiro Mikuriya, M.D. was a psychiatrist & an author of books such as “The Marijuana Medical Papers.” He is known as an outspoken advocate for the legalization & use of cannabis for medical purposes. He is regarded by some as the Grandfather of the medical cannabis movement in the United States, most especially California. Mikuriya was director of non-classified marijuana research for the National Institute of Mental Health Center for Narcotics and Drug Abuse Studies in 1967. His 1972 book Marijuana Medical Papers became a landmark in the modern movement for the legalization of Medical marijuana. Collected from the reference section at the National Library of Medicine it was saved from complete oblivion. Much to the irritation of cannabis prohibitionists, this medical intelligence has been restored for possible alternative medical applications. Until his death in May 2007, Dr. Mikuriya continued in private psychiatric practice limited to cannabis clinical consultation. He approved marijuana for medical purposes in over nine thousand patients, not solely in terminal cases, but also alleviation of physical & emotional pain in non-terminal cases. The legal situation is extremely comlex. His practices are controversial & have drawn him into conflict with authorities. In a 1998 interview, Mikuriya (whose father was a Japanese Civil Engineer & a converted Christian & whose mother was born in Germany & was a practicing Bahá'í), made a connection between his family background & his views.
Growing up in the Quaker community & attending Quaker schools (George School, Haverford College) it was the compromise chosen by his parents that the three Mikuriya children were raised as Quakers. The Quakers were proprietors of the Underground Railway, I’m proud to say. The cannabis prohibition has the same dynamics as the bigotry & racism my family &I experienced starting on 7 December 1941, when we were transformed from normal-but-different people into war-criminal surrogates. Mikuriya wrote the lyrics for several songs used in the campaign for the 1996 Medical Marijuana Initiative in California known as Proposition 215. He ran in the 1980 United States House of Representatives elections but without success. In 1999, Mikuriya founded the California Cannabis Research Medical Group to help physicians share and exchange data about cannabis use by their patients. In 2004, the CCRMG formed The Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC) to facilitate voluntary medical standards for physician-approved cannabis under California law (HSC §11362.5). Mikuriya died at his home in Berkeley, California on 20 May 2007, aged 73, after a long battle with cancer.
