Lower Yosemite Falls. Yosemite National Park, Ca
Lower Yosemite Falls Hike.
Yosemite National Park CA, USA: Lower Yosemite Fall
Fun Place to visit.
Parking close by or you take a free shuttle bus.
you can just enjoy the view from distance or you can climb all the way up to touch the water fall.
You will have first hand experience watching Rock climbers.
Takes about one hour to climb back and forth.
As long as you know how to place your footings on rocks you will be fine.
Lots of loose rocks so have to be very very cautious.
Good thing about Yosemite National Park you can just park your vehicle in one place and take a ride on free shuttle bus to go to all the fun destination. probably wait time for next shuttle is 15-20 minutes.
Will be going back made a mission to touch every waterfall in Yosemite national park.
Yosemite National Park has tons of water falls.

Yosemite Falls cascades from the tall walls of Yosemite Valley in three different phases. While Upper Yosemite Fall is a tougher hike and the Middle Cascades are inaccessible, the dramatic and popular Lower Yosemite Fall is easily accessed through an easy, wooded path.

John Muir in Yosemite...
John Muir built a cabin in Yosemite Valley and lived in it for two years. He wrote a book about Yosemite...
The Yosemite By John Muir (read John Muir's book here for FREE)
My video contains my original song God's Water by Dave And The Wolf Rock Band
The description John Muir gave of Yosemite Falls in his book The Yosemite is still accurate today:
The Yosemite Fall is separated into an upper and a lower fall with a series of falls and cascades between them, but when viewed in front from the bottom of the Valley they all appear as one. So grandly does this magnificent fall display itself from the floor of the Valley, few visitors take the trouble to climb the walls to gain nearer views.
Yosemite Falls hikes - Yosemite Falls can be seen from many places in Yosemite Valley. There is a wonderful short nature hike to the base of Yosemite Falls. The hike to the base can be extended to a longer loop. I highly recommend hiking the entire loop which is still a very easy level hike - easy loop trail in Yosemite National Park.
There is also a hike to the top of Yosemite Falls. The hike to the top of Yosemite Falls is very difficult.

How to Hike Lower Yosemite Falls | Yosemite National Park
Trail Overview
Lower Yosemite Falls is a 1 mile (1.6 km) loop
with an elevation gain of about 50 ft (15m). The trail is fairly easy to do and will take about 30 minutes. Begin at Lower Yosemite Falls Trailhead at shuttle stop #6
Part of North America's tallest waterfall, Lower Yosemite Fall is the final 320-foot (98-meter) drop. Deafening in spring and early summer when the waterfall peaks in volume, you can expect to get sprayed with water when standing on the footbridge near its base. This short, easy walk rewards with spectacular views of both Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls. This paved loop trail offers different vantage points of Yosemite Falls and Yosemite Creek, and you can stop at the many exhibits to learn more about the natural and cultural history of the area.
If walking from the Valley Visitor center, follow the bicycle path to shuttle stop #6 and begin the trail. Consider walking the loop in a clockwise direction for best views of Yosemite Falls. This eastern portion of this loop trail is wheelchair accessible (when not covered in ice or snow).
Seasonality
The trail to Lower Yosemite Fall is open year-round. When the water is at its peak in spring and early summer, you can expect to get a little wet. This waterfall is often dry from late July or August through October. Expect icy conditions in some areas during the winter, especially on the short climb leading to the footbridge on the western trail.
Stay Safe
Stay on the paved trail. Above the wooden footbridge that crosses Yosemite Creek, the rocks and boulders are slippery even when dry. Scrambling off-trail in this area has led to serious injuries.
Water
A drinking fountain is available near the restrooms along the western trail. Drinking water is not available along the trail.
Restrooms
Restrooms are available along the western trail; no additional restrooms are available along the way.
Parking
Parking is not available at the trailhead. Parking is available at the Yosemite Village and Yosemite Falls parking areas.
Transportation
Ride the free Valley Visitor Shuttle (7 am to 10 pm, year-round) to shuttle stop #6 and follow the bicycle path in either direction to access both the western and eastern sections of this loop trail. Beginning the hike from the west offers full views of Yosemite Falls right from the start. You can also walk along the bicycle path from the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center—this adds approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km) to your hike).
Share the trail! Leashed pets and strollers are allowed. Bicycles are prohibited with numerous bicycle racks located nearby for your convenience. Keep your food within arm's reach at all times and do not feed the wildlife.

Glacier Point, Yosemite Valley, Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls [44]
Day 2 of our trip to Yosemite National Park. We first went to Glacier Point early in the morning (there was still snow at the end of May!). Then we headed toward the valley floor before noon, but traffic was a nightmare. When we finally found parking (a 45 minute walk away) we headed towards yosemite falls trailhead and got up close to the lower falls.

Carlon Falls Trail Hike - Yosemite CA - Full Video - Yosemite Waterfalls
Carlon Falls Trail Hike Yosemite Ca is actually in Groveland CA, but the actual waterfall is inside Yosemite National Park. So you start outside of the park, but the hike ends inside. It is one of many beautiful Yosemite Waterfalls.
For our 9th anniversary we decided to go for the day while our kiddos were in school. This is easily one of the Best Nor Cal Hikes.
It is a fairly easy hike, and absolutely beautiful.

Upper Yosemite Falls (Yosemite National Park, CA) Review
This was Mike's first visit to Yosemite in his adult hiking life and decided to do the Upper Yosemite Falls trail with his family. This is one difficult hike! The mileage may not sound intimidating (out and back at 7 miles) but believe me this one is STRENUOUS. The trail is available all year. It is pretty much up the whole way. It starts at Camp 4 along the Valley Loop Trail, and takes you through forrest regions that eventually open up exposing brilliant panoramas of the Yosemite Valley. This crazy switchback adventure opens up beautifully exposing you to the falls up close and personal. Mike talks about the falls how they are so powerful and breathtaking (though the drought may have affected it now). You can photograph Half Dome and Yosemite Falls in the same frame on this hike, absolutely breathtaking.
At the top of the Yosemite Falls Trail, you can extend your hike east to Yosemite Point (follow signs for North Dome; adds 1.6 miles roundtrip (2.6 km) to this hike) or west to Eagle Peak (follow signs to El Capitan, adds 5.8 miles roundtrip (9.3 km) to this hike)(Lots of switchbacks the views are some of the most amazing views.
Top of Yosemite Falls Distance: 7.2 miles (11.6 km) round tripElevation: 2,700 ft (823 m) elevation gain
Difficulty: R
Time: 6-8 hours round trip
Begin at: Camp 4 area (near shuttle stop #7 and El Capitan Shuttle stop #E2)
Bottles of water: at least (3) 1.5L or more
Animals: Prohibited
