EXPLORING BORACAY | SAVE THE BORACAY MANGROVES
Boracay has become an integral part of my life already and I would like to contribute to its sustainable tourism everyday as much as possible. Hence, when I learned about an upcoming Mangrove Planting, I volunteered.
Mangrove Planting was held at Lugutan Bay, ManocManoc, Boracay Island. This is the initiative of PCO Boracay in collaboration with Philippine Air Force Reserve Boracay and Philipine Air Force - TOG 6. This activity is closely coordinated and approved by the Boracay Inter-Agency Manangement Group (Better Boracay ).
Special thanks to Cmo Togsix - PAF being led by LT COL Dennis Q. Alcarde PAF (MNSA) in providing us the Mangrove Seedlings. Thank you Mr. Ramil Marin, the Ecosystems Management Specialist 1 (DENR) for guiding us throughout the activity. Thanks to the PCO Boracay Group, Stakeholders, BFP Malay, PNP Malay, Islander Boracay, PAFR-Boracay PCTV Boracay for covering the activity, BIWC for providing us a drinking water, Boracay Island Drone Academy for making this very dramatic video, and of course, thanks to those who sponsored our Merienda, small amount but can feed everybody, Salamat II Mare Sakura Resort Boracay, Sgt. Ping Sinel Absalon (PAFR- Boracay), Sgt. Bobby Casimero (PAFR-Boracay), Sgt Loreta Alopijan (PAFR-Boracay), Brgy. ManocManoc and Cocoloco Boracay Bar and Restaurant.
Saving the mangroves is saving the island
