The Beautiful Lumpini Park in the Heart of Bangkok
Best viewed in HD! Learn a bit more about Bangkok by checking out our new video on Lumpini Park in Bangkok. The park is very central and is close to Langsuan Road, Wireless Road and upscale Rajadamri Road where you will find the 4 Seasons Hotel and Hansar Bangkok Hotel and there are several good 4 star and 5 star hotels in the area. Lumpini Park is close to the Dusit Thani Hotel which is where Silom Road and Rama IV Road intersect.
SECRET SKYWALK IN BANGKOK CITY | Connecting Benjakitti Park To Lumpini Park, Bangkok, Thailand
There's a secret Skywalk in Bangkok City connecting Benjakitti Park to Lumpini Park that not many people know about.
The secret skywalk is about 1.5km long that directly connects 2 of Bangkok's biggest parks. The Benjakitti Park and the Lumpini Park.
You can find the start of the secret skywalk on Sukhumvit Soi 10 Alley, which is where I started my walk in the video. But you can find other entrances at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 4 Alley, or at the end of Duang Phithak Rd.
There are many interesting sights and scenery to explore on this peaceful 1.5km skywalk. Is crosses over canals, highways and even through housing areas of local residents, which was an incredible sight to see.
I only saw about 6 people in total on this 1.5km skywalk, I didn't understand why, because it was an amazing footbridge. I wasn't quite sure why not many people frequent this skywalk more often.
I went there around 1:00PM, so maybe people walk the bridge later on in the evening when the sun goes down.
I felt quite safe walking there alone during the day but I'm not quite sure how it is at night.
But I do highly recommend taking a stroll on this secret skywalk in Bangkok city. Which directly connects Benjakitti Park To Lumpini Park. Always take caution where ever you go of course.
The 1.5km skywalk will take you approx. 30 mins to walk, from end to end. It took me approx. 40 mins in total because I was walking slowly and I went to the wrong entrance of Lumpini Park.
I hope you get a chance to check this secret skywalk out.

Bangkok - Park overrun with monitor lizards | Editor's Pick | 20 Sept 16
Some parks have ducks, some have swans, but Bangkok's central Lumpini park is famed for its resident monitor lizards.
But their numbers have grown so quickly that park officials are concerned.
On Tuesday, park staff could be seen using ropes rucksacks and snares to catch around 40 lizards, each one up to two metres in length.
Despite their gentle nature, an official from Bangkok City, Suwanna Jungrungrueng, said the 400-strong lizard population damages the park's trees and landscape.
They do not attack people, but their sheer numbers have also caused concern with the authorities after reports of runners and bikers falling while swerving to try to avoid the reptile inhabitants they share their park with.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's plan is to relocate the lizards to a government-run animal sanctuary and return the city's central park to a safe destination frequented by tourists and locals, they said.

The city occupies 1,568.7 square kilometres (605.7 sq mi) in the Chao Phraya River delta in central Thailand, and has a population of over eight million, or 12.6 percent of the country's population. Buffet 40 THB ($1.29) Lumphini Park in Bangkok, Thailand (บุฟเฟต์ 40 บาท สวนลุมพินี) #StreetFood #Bangkok #Thailand
Located on the fence just outside the major central Lumphini Park in Bangkok, Thailand, are a number of Thai street food stalls. You can get all sorts of delicious and on the go Thai food. But there’s one stall where you pay 40 THB ($1.29), and you can eat as much as you want, a full buffet. I’d say it’s one of the most affordable buffets I’ve ever had anywhere in the world.
You’ll find a mix of different Thai dishes, a variety of different curries with coconut milk, and a number of different stir fry dishes. Overall, you have about a dozen different Thai dishes to choose from. I was surprised by the amount of meat in dishes - they don’t skimp at all on the meats and proteins. You first grab a plate of rice and start digging in to whatever you want.
Two of my favorite dishes at this Thai street food buffet were the boiled beef with lemongrass, and the boiled salmon soup!
In addition to an affordable all you can eat buffet, the people you meet eating here are cool and laid back, and the owner and chef is so friendly. He kept inviting me back to the buffet line to eat more food - “come back and have another plate!”

BEAUTIFUL LUMPINI PARK - Bangkok Thailand
In this video I take a short Tuk Tuk ride from the Pathumwan Princess Hotel in Siam to Lumpini Park which is a quick 10 minute ride, if you’re every in Bangkok and need to get away from the noise and chaos, this is where you go!
Check In from Lumpini Park, Bangkok Thailand, January 2020
I wanted to update y'all on some more permanent plans I have for 2020. I've signed a 1 year lease on a condo in Bangkok. This will certainly act as a Home but also a Home Base in SE Asia.
While my goal was initially to just move here and go to the beach and stare at my feet in the sand of Cha-Am, Pranburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Koh Lanta, Coconut Island, Phuket, Kamala, Koh Samui and explore a whole bunch of Krabi I still have the Entrepreneurial Addiction I guess... So, it will likely not surprise you that my new home is literally a 5 minute walk to THE largest co-working space in ALL of South East Asia: True Digital Park.
The other nice thing is the, presently, this part of the BTS and Bangkok are not as popular as say Ekkamai, Asok, etc.. SO even during the busy commute times on the BTS, I can still get ON the BTS with my luggage. Doing so at at stops like Phrom Phong, Nana, Phra Khanong and even On Nut now are not easy now with the increasing popularity of these locations. Good for Bangkok - bad for me and Gracie, if/when we will be wanting to grab a couple bags, hop on the BTS, MRT and or Airport Rail Link and start exploring more of Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and ASEAN.
So. I'm stoked. This is really GREAT!
Thanks for following the journey.
Live the Dream!
