Lunar Crater Volcanic Field National Historic Landmark
This particular pano video was shot at the edge of the dry lake bed which lies inside the 20-mile dirt loop road that jaunts off of US Highway 6, east of Tonopah NV.
From Wikipedia:

Lunar Crater Volcanic Field National Natural Landmark
This pano video was shot at the rim of Lunar Crater, providing a nearly 360° view of the volcanic field. The crater toward the end of the clip (slightly out of focus, sorry) is aptly named Armchair Crater. I dunno, whaddya think, could this video end up as a good promotional video for the Hyundai (like Sunday) Santa Fe? It may be a Hyundai, but to be honest, it was a *great* platform for the whole trip! No complaints whatsoever.

Pretty much right in the middle of the State of Nevada and about half way between the towns of Tonopah and Ely, there lies two off-road destinations about 20 miles apart and both of which were created by massive explosions. The first is a huge bowl shaped hole in the ground known as the Lunar Crater and the second is the location of a nuclear test site known as, Project Faultless. In this short video, you'll get to follow us on our adventure to explore these two, unique to Nevada sites, with our good friends Tony and Stephanie and in our trusty little Jeep Renegades.
This is the first in a series of new short videos we hope to produce highlighting the rich history and the amazing places you can see in our beautiful state or, what we like to refer to as, Nevada's Silver Lining. We hope that you enjoy our presentation.

BEATTY NEVADA HD MOVIE
Beatty Nevada. Very cool little town.
115 miles north of Las Vegas.
22 miles from Death Valley.
59 miles to Goldfield.
100 miles south of Tonopah.
If your going on a road trip to any of these places, Beatty has two bars a restaurant, two gas stations and a Motel 6. Really friendly people and some great mining trails too. I bought a shovel here to dig my truck out of a trail rut for three bucks from the world's biggest open everyday flea market.... Very cool!
Helpful hint: It says 25mph, do 25mph.
P.S. I'd like to have about 50 big ones to rebuild that .62 Lincoln Continental.
Song: Beatty blues.
Studio: Vegas Pro V12.
Natureboy Tunes.

Arizona's Jaw-Dropping Mile-Long Meteor Crater
In the northern Arizona desert, an imposing-looking crater shows the impact of an ancient meteor crash. Until the 1960s, it was mistakenly believed to be a volcanic crater.

Exploring Monitor Valley in Central Nevada
These photographs were taken during a recent Desert Survivors trip led by Bob Lyon to the southern part of the Monitor Valley in central Nevada, south of Austin. Starting in the quaint town of Belmont, we explored some of the canyons to the north in the Toquima Range. Some of us were able to summit Mt. Jefferson out of Pine Creek Campground. A short visit to Kingston in the Toiyabe Range in Big Smoky Valley on my return home added to the overall experience.
